171. Wano, We Arrive
Tama then go to the back and ask them to wait. Sometime later, she come back with a bowl of rice. She is confused to who will she give the rice to, but decide to give it to Luffy as he is the one who save her. Luffy want to eat the rice immediately, but Jon take the bowl and knock Luffy's head.
"OUCH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING JON?"-Luffy
"Don't just casually eat it!"-Jon
"U-uhm, don't worry, it's a good rice."-Tama
"No, it's not. You haven't eat for sometime right?"-Jon
"WHAT? Is that right?"-Luffy
"A-a kunoichi can't lose to her stomach."-Tama
"So you want to be a kunoichi. Then eat a lot! Being a kunoichi is a tiring work that need a lot of energy, and it come from food. If you don't eat, you'll never grow strong."-Jon
Jon give the bowl to Tama, make her confuse on what to do, and Luffy look at the food hungrily. Jon sigh and ask Tama to show him the kitchen. He go after storing the rice, so Luffy won't eat it.
Tama show him the kitchen, which is very traditional. It didn't matter though, as he is used to cook just with campfire. Jon ask Tama to go back & accompany the hungry Luffy.
After she leave, Jon take out many food ingredients. He cook a lot of rice, meats, and vegetables. He can't cook many menu like Sanji, but he can make some simple menu. Jon then take the foods to the front room and serve it to Tama & Luffy
"Eat!"-Jon take out Tama's bowl
"U-uhm, this is..."-Tama
"Ittadakimasu."-Luffy
Tama is confuse, but Luffy immediately eat the foods. Tama finally try the food, and she is very happy.
"DELI~SH."-Tama smile widely with small tears on her eyes
"Really? That's good, now eat a lot, and grow stronger!"-Jon smile and rub her hair
"Thank you, big brother."-Tama
Jon widen his eyes and his real siblings faces interlapse Tama.
"Yeah, eat a lot!"-Jon
Jon have a sad face & some tears on his eyes. He still miss his younger siblings, even to this day. He has moved on, but seeing Tama suffer like this really hurt him, and he can't help but imagine if his siblings are like her.
Jon come out to get some fresh air and calm his heart. He climb a tall tree and look around the place. He see ruins of a village and see many smokes from far away. Then he also see a dirty river that flow behind Tama's house. He go to the river and check the water condition.
"This water is poisonous, and there are chemicals substances in it. It's inedible and the fishes that adapt here must have poison too. It must be from those factories, and there is only one suspect in my mind, Kaido. He must've exploited this country to the core. If there's a child like Tama here, there must be a lot more."-Jon
"You are right."-???
"!? Who are you?"-Jon
Jon bolt from his position and get into a fighting stance. He is too focused on the river & his heart isn't calm, so his observation is not working. Beside, this person didn't have any malicious intent, so Jon didn't react.
"My name is Tenguyama Hitetsu, O-Tama's guardian."-Hitetsu
"You're the one who live with her? Then you must have not eaten for sometime too, you better join them to eat, or Luffy will eat everything."-Jon
"Don't worry about me, i always eat these poisonous fishes & water. My body is strong enough to withstand the effect, but O-Tama isn't. That's why i'm very grateful to you for giving her some meals. Today is her 8th birthday, and i gave her all money that we can earn to buy rice."-Hitetsu
"So it's her birthday, good thing i stop Luffy from eating her rice. But did all your money really just worth that little amount of rice?"-Jon
"That's right, only people in capital that can buy many food and earn more money. "-Hitetsu
Jon want to ask more, but suddenly Luffy shout & call him. Jon & Hitetsu immediately enter the house and see Tama is fainting. Jon check Tama's condition and he ask Luffy what happened.
"She told me that she knew Ace and is waiting for his return. So i told her that Ace has died, then she got angry and faint."-Luffy
"ARE YOU A DEMON?"-Hitetsu
"But Ace will never come, there's no use to wait anymore."-Luffy
"EVEN IF THAT'S TRUE, CAN'T YOU PICK A BETTER TIMING TO TELL HER?"-Hitetsu
Jon sigh and massage his temples while sighing.
"Luffy, you're right, but she is just an 8 y.o kid. Even you can't accept his death at first, not to mention a kid that always wait for him."-Jon
"Sorry, what should we do now?"-Luffy
"Let's take her to the nearest town to get treated by a doctor! She didn't faint solely because of Ace's death news. It must be because of her bad physical health too."-Jon
"!? She must've been drinking the bad water before, even though i've prohibit it."-Hitetsu
Jon & Luffy want to set out immediately, but Hitetsu stop them. Hitetsu give them this country's clothes to make them blend easier. Jon want to refuse as he can transform, but he cancel it after seeing the old clothes with many patches.
He didn't have the heart to refuse the clothes. At least he can ask for a more ninja like outfit, and Hitetsu have it. The clothes still tattered though, but it's better than a samurai clothes.
Jon wear clothes similar with Jiraiya, but have black colour with purple vest. Jon is surprised that Hitetsu have this type of clothes, but he's satisfied. He also place his swords on his back like usual.
Jon & Luffy set out to find the doctor for Tama. But they didn't leave before Luffy take a katana from the house, despite Hitetsu's disallowance. Jon & Luffy ride the Komainu, Komachiyo that know the town location.
Sometime later, they come out from the forest and arrive on a wasteland. Tama that has woke up tell them about the pollution that caused by Kaido's factories. The waste from those factories, poisoned the environment & living beings there.
When they look at the bad environment, they see a woman being chased by some Beasts Pirates. Jon & Luffy want to move, but the pirates got cut down by someone. Jon look at the attacker and surprised to see that it's Zoro.
""ZORO!""-Jon & Luffy
"LUFFY! JON! YOU GUYS HAVE CO-MPHHH."-Zoro
Luffy jump and hug Zoro, make him can't finish his speech. Jon stay on Komachiyo to hold Tama so she won't fall.
"What are you doing here? Where's the others?"-Jon
"Well, there are some problems that happened."-Zoro
"Who caused the problem?"-Jon
"The people here."-Zoro
"So it's you."-Jon
"Tch, i'm just doing what i should do."-Zoro
"Anyway, how's the progress of our talk in Zou?"-Jon
"No clue yet."-Zoro
"Hmm, the person is very cautious, or just lucky to not show any clue when Zetsus are there. Then i'll assign my clones to each of them, Zetsus will focus on gathering information."-Jon
"What are you talking about?"-Luffy
"Information gathering, we need more information about our enemies right? Furthermore when we might face 2 Emperors at once."-Jon
"Oh, you're right."-Luffy
Jon didn't tell Luffy because he can't keep secret. He will just ask everyone who's the traitor and make the traitor know they're being suspected. It's better to tell Luffy when the traitor has been found.
They want to continue their way to the nearest town, but a problem come. Some Beasts Pirates come and they're lead by Basil Hawkins. The Straw Hats are surprised to see him, especially Jon.
Jon knew that Hawkins made an alliance with Kid & Apoo, but now he is under Kaido. Something must've happened with their alliance, and Hawkins must've served Kaido to protect himself. Jon didn't know what happen with Kid or Apoo, so he need to find out.
'If all those three Worst Generation crews are under Kaido, then it will be harder for us. I need to gather as much information as possible. There are 4 Supernovas in these 3 crews, and they might be as strong as us.'-Jon
"Straw Hat, Pirate Hunter, & Demon Eyes, it seem the tresspassers are you guys."-Hawkins
"I thought you've made an alliance with Kid & Apoo to take down an Emperor."-Jon
"You guys must've want to take down an Emperor too. But let me tell you something, the Emperors are beyond reason."-Hawkins
""We know.""-Straw Hats
The Straw Hats grin and didn't get afraid by Hawkins's warning. Hawkins didn't say anything else and order his mens to attack. The Straw Hats also attack the enemies together.
Jon flickered and cut Hawkins with his Chidorigatana. Hawkins got cut, but then he got healed, and another person is being cut on where Hawkins got cut. Then a small straw doll come out from his hand, and it is cut like the victim before.
"Doll? Transferring damage, Voodoo?"-Jon
"Smart guy. Straw Providing Hand Sword!"-Hawkins
Hawkins transform his sword into a whip made of straw. He attack Jon with it, and Jon flicker away to avoid it. Luffy & Zoro also attack Hawkins's mens with their swords Yeah, Luffy use his 'sword' to 'strike' the enemies.
Then, Luffy & Zoro also start to attack Hawkins. So Hawkins confront them too, but Jon see a strange thing. Some of Hawkins mens didn't even try to attack & just stay behind.
'They must be the Voodoo target, maybe i can defeat them first.'-Jon
Jon send Zetsu #1 to attack the suspected voodoo victims. Zetsu move underground stealthily, and no one sense him. Zetsu arrived under the targets and use his wood ability to make sharp wood spikes that pierce the targets from below.
Just like Jon's suspicion, these people are Hawkins's voodoo targets. It's shown by some straw dolls that come out from his hands. Jon didn't know how many dolls can Hawkins store, but it should have a limit.
Hawkins got surprised when all of his voodoo sacrifices are defeated. He decide to use one of his trump card to fight the Straw Hats. Hawkins then create a large amount of straws from his sword and form it into a large straw monster.
"Using straw to fight Straw Hats, what a nice match."-Jon
"Is it?"-Luffy
"Then let's show who's straw is better."-Zoro
Luffy & Zoro rush forward, and Jon jump high on the air while making some hand seals. Zoro then defend a club attack by the straw monster, and Luffy hit the monster's body. Jon has arrive on top of the monster and finish his seals.
"Katon: Great Fire Annihilation!"-Jon
Jon spew a massive amount of fire toward the straw monster. His jutsu scale has rivalling that of Madara's now with him reaching high level fire nature mastery. Now he can make a low rank jutsu have a lot bigger firepower.
The straw monster catch on fire and start to burn. Jon use his enemy's weakness, because he have all basic elements. There's no use to have all those elements but he can't use it to his advantage. Altough sometime he use an element that didn't have any advantage when he want a hard fight.
The straw monster got burnt easily, as straw is very flamable. The Straw Hats want to attack Hawkins again, but Komachiyu grab them and run from there. They need to prioritize going to doctor right now, so they abandon the fight.
"Isn't that O-Tama from Amigasa Village? Are you going to find a doctor?"-a woman's voice
"Yeah, we need to treat her soon."-Jon
"There's no doctor outside of the capital. I'm not a doctor, but i can help her condition. I have some medicinal herbs that can help with poisoning by the water from river."-Woman
"Is that so? We'll be thankfull to-!? PFFT-WTF, WHO ARE YOU?"-Jon eyes pop
"Aren't you the one that chased by the pirates before?"-Zoro
"Yes, thank you for your help before. I'm O-Tsuru."-Tsuru
