Faild Preposition

Faild Preposition

A few days had passed. Heng Huizhong's investigation finally bore fruit and he found out the origins of Jing Lihua. He had made an appointment with President Jing and came forward with a preposition.

In her office in the Tang complex, Mei Xi was standing by Jing Lihua's side.

"I had my doubts in the beginning but it is indeed true. At that time my mother passed away I was still young. I found out I had a sister who was adopted into the Tang family. It seems you indeed have ties with the Heng family."

Jing Lihua listened silently. Her light green eyes were cool as still water. These past few days, she had been waiting for Heng Huizhong to take action. And today, he was finally here. "I am sure, Mr. Heng is not merely here for this?"

Heng Huizhong's expressions changed. Through his words, President Jing must have realized that he already learned that she is not a Tang. But, still, there wasn't an ounce of fear or anxiety in her eyes. "True. I am here to propose an alliance. You hold twenty percent shares. I hold a thirty percent share. If you side with me and elect me as the Chief Executive for the span of the next five years, I am willing to keep this secret. Not only that, but I will also break off my alliance with Su enterprise." Heng Huizhong said with a crafty smile.

Bold in his words, he didn't beat around the bush and came straight to the point.

He was here to use the point he discovered as a bargaining chip.

Once he was elected as the Chief Executive, according to the company rules, the decision couldn't be waivered for the next five years. He didn't need to fear Jing Lihua and Heng Bingwen then. As for the matter of his alliance with Su enterprise... they were the top in Beijing.

He could make it look like he was with President Jing, but behind the shadow, he would team u with Su Donghai.

Now that Su enterprise President, Su Donghai was hell-bent on suppressing Tang enterprise, Heng Huizhong believed it was a matter of time before the Tang enterprise would go bankrupt.

Heng Huizhong just needed to preserve his position until then.

Eyes cool as translucent ice, Jing Lihua looked right through Heng Huizhong's thoughts.

'I remember from my past life, that around this time the rumor about my being not a Tang was spread. If I am not wrong, Elder Heng's letters must have revealed it to Heng Huizhong. Since in the last lifetime, neither I nor Heng Bingwen attended the will hearing, only Heng Huizhong knew the secret. If he had exposed the secret in last lifetime, he would do the same this time.'

'Not only that, later Heng Huizhong had altered the content of will and when Heng Bingwen had applied for the official copy of the will, but there was also no allocation of shares to us.'

'He had won last time. But not this time.'

After a long pause of silence, Jing Lihua finally said. "And if I decline?"

"President Jing! I believe you are not a foolish person. During the time you have presided over the company you have indeed shown unprecedented wisdom. Even your enemies have to admit. You hold twenty percent shares while Heng Bingwen holds twenty-seven percent The sum of your shares doesn't even add up to fifty percent. The other shareholders, who do you think they would choose? A previously developed and well-rooted person from the Heng family or you? You have no chance so you better give up!"

'If I had no chance, why are you so anxious to make me give up?'

Jing Lihua laughed lightly. "They can choose Heng Bingwen."

Heng Huizhong's eyes widened. What was the meaning of this? He assumed that she had helped Heng Bingwen on the premise that he elected her and secured the position of chief executive for her. After all, Heng Software Limited had its name. In the current era, which company can thrive without software designed for its employees?

It was such a sensitive issue. Because if the software company wanted to steal info from another company, it was easy for them by altering the programs they sold to the company.

This was how Heng Huizhong had stolen sensitive info from the Tang enterprise and sold it to Su enterprise.

So he thought Jing Lihua must have wanted to take control of everything and personally look after the procedure to eliminate such hazards.

But instead, she was willing to elect Heng Bingwen?

'Does that mean she is going to support Heng Bingwen and use him as her pawn in the Heng Softwares Limited?'

Thinking about it, he felt a rush of anger over his son. Willingly being someone else pawn! He was a disgrace to the Heng family!

"In any case, your total shares precede fifty percent. To be elected as the Chief Executive, Heng Bingwen must get sixty percent shares holders votes per company rules. Let's see how you have him sit on that chair." Since the preposition failed, Heng Huizhong could only step back with a warning.

He wouldn't go down with a fight.

All the people in the company were his confidants. He had great favors on them all. On the other hand, Heng Bingwen had merely inherited the shares. He didn't even know the names of the countless shareholders let alone have any sort of association with them.

Once he left the office, Jing Lihua stayed seated in her chair for some time.

"President what if he spreads the rumor that you are not a Tang." Mei Xiu suddenly said.

Other than Jing Lihua, Mei Xiu was the one who was aware of the whole situation. Jing Lihua trusted her completely so she had told her everything in order to get her opinion on the matter.

"Not possible. If he tells everyone I am not a Tang, he would need to also tell them I am a Heng. In that case, he would end up opening an opportunity for me to be the candidate for the Chief Executive election. And by the understanding I have of this Heng Huizhong, he can stomach Heng Bingwen as Chief Executive but he won't tolerate me as the Chief Executive."
