President, you are indeed a little scary

President, you are indeed a little scary

Jing Lihua had just arrived in time. A moment later and Heng Bingwen would have been beaten to death by the angered thugs. Dozens of black shielded cars parked around the van. In an instant, their doors were pushed opened and numerous dressed men climbed out of the car and surrounded the van.

With their eyes fixed at the van, and their stance ready to attack any moment, they all loaded out their guns and pointed in the van's direction.

Once everything was settled, a more luxurious and outstanding car pulled in slowly and parked amid all the other cars. Once it came to a halt, Wang Yi went out and personally opened the door for Jing Lihua.

She stepped out, graceful and steady in her each step.

"Let us pass or the boy dies!" The man in the lead had Heng Bingwen in his hold. With a knife against his throat, he threatened the woman who appeared to be in lead.

However...

The smile on the face of the delicate woman didn't even falter. Neither did the sharp shine of her deep green eyes.

"If you are wise you would let him go."

"President-" Heng Bingwen was shut when the man pushed the knife deeper to his throat. Heng Bingwen's pupils contracted slightly. "I just wanted to say, can't you please not hold me so tightly? No offense but seriously, you stink!"

"Shut the f*ck up!" The man was already tense. Listening to Heng Bingwen's words, he just wanted to discard everything and kill him right away. The knife dug deeper into his flesh. A trail of blood trickled down.

Looking at the crimson red, Jing Lihua's eyes darkened to a deeper shade of green. "Seems like you didn't take my warning seriously. In that case, you can't blame me for being ruthless."

"Woman, stop being unreasonable, and let us pass."

"That's why women shouldn't be put in lead. They are unreasonable. Woman, can't you see we hold the boy. Do you want him to die?" The bald man barked.

"You won't kill him." Jing Lihua's tune was steady and certain.

"How are you certain?"

"If you kill him, you will lose your chance to get out of here... alive. If Heng Bingwen dies, you all die as well. Simple as it is." Jing Lihua had the same small smile on her lips that looked harmless when she said those words.

However, within her eyes was a murderous intent.

To hear such words from the mouth of a woman who looked so delicate and refined a moment ago was a shock.

All the men felt a sudden chill up their spine. They had expected the woman was powerful and wouldn't hesitate to wound them brutally. But killing someone without the fear of consequences... she had to be over a certain level.

In any case, they had done minor crimes. Like robbing, holding hostages and kidnapping, etc. But killing someone, they had never done.

And when they threatened to kill Heng Bingwen, that was only a threat.

"Your choice. Save your life or end it with your own hands." To put the final blow on the nail, Jing Lihua's voice flowed in.

The men looked at each other reluctantly before silently reaching to an agreement. They let go of Heng Bingwen. However, just as Heng Bingwen was at a safe distance, many men surrounded them. They were handcuffed and thrown down.

"You said you would let us go!' Their leader shouted in resentment.

The woman still had that small smile on her lips. "Oh, please. I hate it when people bend my words. I never said I would let you go. I only said that if you kill Heng Bingwen, you will all die."

Once being freed, Heng Bingwen returned to the pile of tied men. When they looked up at him, they saw his face was totally changed. The playful and immature color in his eyes was replaced by a cold spark.

Looking at the two of them, standing side by side, they felt like they were looking at their death. Both had the same hostility in their cold eyes; as if they were a pair of siblings.

The bald man knew it was his end.

.

On their way to the hearing.

"President... how did you..."

"I have been keeping an eye on you since the time you came back from Hong Kong. I knew you would try something silly."

Heng Bingwen fell silent. He looked embarrassed for some reason. 'I just didn't want to burden President. Over the time we had spent together, I have come to respect her. I didn't want her to think I was asking too much from her.'

"Did my mother... ask you... to..."

"Your mother was worried you might do something stupid." Jing Lihua sighed. "I assured her that I would take care of you. Heng Bingwen, tell me one thing. You were so suspicious of me back at the time I tried to recruit you. Yet, you so readily trusted your Uncle that your mother clearly warned you about. Is it because you are extraordinarily stupid or is it that there is something on me that scared you back at that time?"

"President, you indeed look a little scary..."

"..."

"I-I wasn't saying it like that-"

"In any case..." Jing Lihua cut him. "If you think I am doing this for you, you can have a clear conscience by knowing that your father Heng Huizhong has associations with Su enterprise. He is bound to cause trouble for me in the future now that Su enterprise is coming at me openly. Though I have forced him to resign from his position, he still has some uncut roots left in my company. He has the ability to stir up chaos. I have to eliminate his influence over my company, one way or another. So you can just think that I am doing this for my company's sake. And not for you."

A silence fell in the car as it silently pulled across the street.

After a long time, Heng Bingwen's voice flowed in.

"President... Thank you."

Jing Lihua lips twitched. 'That silly child'

However, after some time upon her lips, a genuine smile appeared.
