My Husband is My Professor and Boss

This was going to be their long flight. Mrs Miller had already put Liam to sleep in the other bedroom. Today he had so much fun with his new friends that he was tired.     

Ethan was sitting across from Alex and they were having a serious discussion. "What's the position?" Alex asked Ethan after taking a sip of his whiskey.     

"Everything is under control. Raghav and the rest of his men have already been taken to the base and treatment has also started on them."     

"Hmm," Alex hummed and poured the whiskey back into his empty glass. After finishing almost half of the whiskey bottle, he rested his head on the headrest and closed his eyes. Everything that had happened during the day was running in front of him like a movie.     

" Alex, why don't you get some rest because it's going to take us a long time to reach there anyway." Ethan was right. Alexander needed some rest but not for his body. He needed rest to calm his brain and that too with his wife in his arms. Because only his wife had the power to calm his mind and heart. He had trained his body in such a way that he could work straight for three to four days without taking a single second of sleep. His brain was also strong enough to help his body to focus better. This time his brain needed to be calmed down because it was his pregnant wife's matter. He was about to get up from his seat and was about to go to the bedroom when Mrs Miller came and stood in front of him.     

"I just wanted to talk to you about something ." Alex put his hand on his lap and offered her a seat with his other hand. "Please have a seat." She sat on a single couch. Ethan got up from his seat to give the two of them some privacy in their conversation, "I will take my leave. "     

"Mr. Ethan you don't have to go anywhere. This isn't too personal." Sara said softly to Ethan and turned her face to Alex. "I saw some red marks on Avery's face and her face and eyes were also swollen."     

"Is everything ok Mr Hill?" Alexander's eyes widened at this but he quickly neutralized his expression. And he answered his mother-in-law very calmly. "It was just a little mistake by the doctor. The doctor had given her a medicine that wouldn't be appropriate for pregnant women. because of that, she gets a reaction on her face. Because of the reaction, the rash on her face was a little painful. It made her cry and the rims of her eyes swelled up." Alexander took a pause and continued his words again. "And that's why it took us longer than expected to get out of the hospital."     

Ethan kept looking at Alexander as he lied so smoothly. 'What more can I expect from you, cunning bastard? He lies so cleverly and says that I hate liars so much. such a bloody bipolar.' Ethan cursed Alexander in his mind.     

This time Mrs Millar agreed with Alexander's words and soon left. Thinking that her daughter was safe and that nothing serious had happened to her, Sara felt better and approached her son.     

Avery was looking out the window near the bed at the dark sky outside when Alexander came into the room. He came near the bed and kicked off his shoes and climbed on the bed. "You should take a rest." He moved closer to her and took her face in his hands. She still had red marks on her face.     

Then he took the ointment from her medicine bag and started applying it on her cheeks. "You want to eat or drink something," he said looking into her eyes as he applied the ointment.     

"No. I'm full." He put the ointment back in the bag and took out her tablets. He poured water into the glass and gave her a tablet and a glass of water. After she took the pills, Alex asked her to sit up straight and opened the back hooks of her gown.     

"What are you doing," she said holding his hand.     

"Trust me. And I have already told you that I have full authority over this body," he said while pointing at her body. He grabbed the hem of the gown and pulled it over her head. She was again in front of him in her berth suite.     

"Turn your back to me," he said as he took another ointment from the medicine bag. She turned her back to him. She already had her hair over one shoulder because she had guessed what Alexander was going to do.     

He started gently applying ointment on her back. "Does it hurt a lot now" She wanted to say no but knowing that he would know in a moment that she was lying, she said yes. "Yes, it hurts. And it hurts more when I sleep on my back. It hurts more when something touches my back."     

"So it's mean when I picked you up in my arms, you must have felt more pain."     

"No, it didn't hurt so much then. I can handle that much."     

" Just say yes or no. " She took a deep breath and answered him. "Yes. "     

"Hmm.... Now you turn to me." After she turned over, he applied ointment on her thigh and then on her shoulder. During the whole process, her face was bent downwards.     

He caught her chin in his two fingers and lifted her face. "After this, you will not hide any pain from me. I am clear." She nodded her head. "This time I want an answer in words."     

"Yes, I won't hide it after this and ....." She paused for a moment. "To be honest, my whole body hurts. I feel my whole body sore."     

"Why didn't you tell this to the doctor at the hospital."     

"I...." She ran her tongue over her dry lips and swallowed. "Anyway, don't do this later."
