My Husband is My Professor and Boss

A few moments later she felt her eyelids heavy and rested her head on the headrest. Soon her eyes closed and she fell into deep slumber.     

Avery was still in her sleep when they reached their destination. He did not wake her because he could not break her sleep. When he got down from the driver's seat, he was greeted by the family of an elderly couple who were already there. "You are welcome, my lord."     

He just hummed without any expression on his face and going to his wife's side, opened the door and gently lifted her into his arms. He took special care not to disturb her sleep and took her inside the house.     

She felt like something was moving up and down in her stomach. She starts turning left and right on the bed. And when these ups and downs feeling did not subside, she sat up and opened her eyes. She was in an unfamiliar room but she didn't have time to think about it because she was starting to feel nauseous. She desperately needed to empty her stomach and she couldn't make the floor dirty because of vomiting. She spotted a door in the corner of the room and ran towards it with her hand on her mouth. She was in such a hurry that she didn't even notice that she was alone in that room.     

Placing one hand on her chest and the other on her stomach, she started emptying her stomach.     

Someone grabbed her hair from behind and started rubbing her back. She felt a burning sensation in her throat which brought tears to her eyes. When her stomach was empty, she closed her eyes. There was no strength left in her body and she rested the back of her head on Alex's chest. She felt so exhausted that her knee could not bear the weight of her body.     

Alex had received a very important call and her sleep should not be interrupted so he went to attend the call in the balcony. When he heard some sound from inside, he quickly entered the room and seeing the door of the washroom open, he quickly moved to the washroom.     

He helped her wash her mouth and face and then took her back to the room.

When she opened her eyes the next morning, she saw that she was not in the car but in an unfamiliar room. She had no recollection of waking up with nausea the night before. She first looked around, she was alone in the room. Then she looked at herself, she was in an oversized white shirt. It was her husband's. But where was her husband? Her eyes fell on the nightstand where Alex's mobile was. She guessed that this meant he would be around her somewhere.     

She removed the blanket from her body and placed her feet on the wooden floor. There was a large wall-sized glass window that opened into the gallery. Avery walked over to the window and parted the white curtains with her hands, allowing the sun's rays to fall on her face. She breathed in the fresh morning air. It was very refreshing. She closed her eyes for a moment to feel that morning moment and then stepped into the gallery.     

When she fully entered the gallery, she was stunned by the sight before her eyes. It was her first time to see something like this. For a moment she could not believe her eyes. She rubbed her eyes but it was not a dream.     

She did not think that she would get to see such a beautiful sight.     

She was in a beautiful wooden house. In front of her eyes was an open field farm that was surrounded by hills. Looking at the mountains, it seemed that someone had just painted green on them. She saw many small colorful houses at the foot of a hill. She thought that it must be a village that looked very beautiful from a distance and a desire arose in her heart to go to that village.     

Then her eyes landed on the beautiful open farm field. It was huge in which different crops stood proudly. It was mainly a fruit farm with both seasonal and non-seasonal fruit crops. Non-season fruit was grown with special techniques. Her eyes stopped at a particular area where a large tree stood. And her eyes widened when she saw beautiful peacocks there, some of which were white.     

"Oh my god.". She put her hand on her mouth. Because the peacocks had spread out their beautiful wings and kept moving from here to there. It was a sight to behold.     

In that section, there were not only peacocks but also other beautiful birds. There were also some flowering plants which made the place even more beautiful. She saw that the fence gate of that section was being opened by a little girl. She must have been nearly ten years old. She was accompanied by a little boy of about five years who had his toy in one hand. They both go inside and start playing with birds. There were small houses in different corners of that farm.     

Avery's eyes began to scan the farm, and when her eyes stopped on a particular section, she jumped in excitement.     

She clapped her hands like a child. Her mood lightened up a lot and her eyes sparkled. Because that part of the field was full of different types of berries and her favourite one was strawberry. She could not stop herself and immediately came into the room and headed to the door.     

She put her hand on the doorknob, and was about to twist the knob, "I don't think you want to go out in just a shirt." he heard her husband's voice.     

Alex's words fell on her ears and she turned. There was her husband leaning on the washroom door frame in only his pants with his tattooed upper body bare in front of her eyes. A small towel was wrapped around his neck and both his hands were folded across his chest.
