Ms. Garcia was not able to finish her introduction as another guest had arrived.
"Good evening, everyone! I hope we are not late?! My flight got delayed. When my mother told me that you had sent an Invite, I just dropped everything and came straight here." Lady Antella came in looking like a million dollar barbie doll. Who would have thought that in all that facade, lies a man at heart?
"Oh! And who do we have here...? Good evening your Royal Highness, Prince Romano... Cousin!" Lady Antella greeted her cousin with a curtsy before turning her attention to now entirely stunned Alexa and Daniel Grant.
"Hello! We meet again." She said while looking at Alexa with a smirk as if to say, "you can run, but you can't hide."
Daniel and Alexa were speechless and unable to reply to the flamboyant Lady Antella, who was currently standing right in front of them.
"Lady Antella." Prince Romano of the Spanish Kingdom greeted his cousin back with a slight nod and a smirk. He then turned his attention to Daniel and Alexa.
Dr. Garcia and Ms. Garcia could sense some hostility between the cousins. Therefore, they had to intervene and separate the two royal members.
"Why don't we all sit down and have our dinner: the food will start to get cold. Come! Let us all take our places at the table." Dr. Garcia quickly led everyone to the banquet. He made sure that the two Royals were not sitting close to each other.
Daniel and Alexa sat with Ms. Garcia and Dr. Garcia at the head area of the table. While Prince Romano sat at a specially designated seat at the table to the right side and Lady Antella to the left, they were about to start eating when another person showed up looking all smugly dashing and handsome. All the beauty queen trainees were salivating as he walked by them.
Trainee -1 "What is this? Do they plan to kill us with all these hot looking humans? Why do you think they are all here?" She asked the other trainees at the table.
Trainee -2 " I don't know, and I don't care. What matters to me are those male species, hmmmmmmmm... I would love to have the one in red for dinner. Hahaha!"
Trainee-3 "I'm wondering if Ms. Garcia invited all of them to show us what true beauty should be? But, who's that young girl next to the handsome American man?"
Trainee-1 " Who cares? All I care about right now are those yummy dishes. Give me a chance, and I will taste them all. Just look at the way they are moving — yuuuuummmy looking men. I just want a taste. Just a little taste."
Lady Antella was the most stunned. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She thought she had everything to herself, but there he was, with his devilishly handsome face; The Prince Alexander of Stonasia in person. 'How in the world did he find out that Alexa was here?' She thought while glaring at Prince Alex strutting towards everyone with a blank look on his face staring straight at her as if to say, "I am no fool."
Dr. Garcia got up as quickly as he could to welcome Prince Alex. With a wide grin plastered on his face, he bowed a little before greeting. "Welcome! Welcome, your Royal High..." Prince Alex stopped him before he was able to finish.
"Thank you! May I have a word with one of your guests privately?" Prince Alex asked Dr. Garcia without greeting anyone or looking at Alexa's direction.
"Sure! You're High..." Prince Alex stopped him once again before he could finish what he about to say. "Lead the way, and I would inform you who it is!" He commanded with authority, and Dr. Garcia leads him to his private office.
Daniel did not know what to think at the moment, and he was already beyond stunned. He looked at his sister's reaction as well and noticed that her mouth was still wide open. He patted her hand. "Don't pay any attention to him. I'm sure he's here on official business and not to bother you."
Alexa realized that she was gawking at Prince Alex's arrival and closed her mouth before shyly giving her older brother a timid smile and turning her attention to the food in front of her.
Ms. Garcia, who had no idea what was going on between her husband and Prince Alex, apologized to Alexa and Daniel. " Let me assure you that I have no idea that he was invited and if it is any consolation, say the word, and I will find an excuse for you to retire early so that you do not have to see any of them. I don't know who he is, but he seems to be an important person for my husband to bow in front of him. A Royalty, maybe?"
"It's alright, Ms. Garcia, we know of him. He's someone important, and that must be the reason your husband bowed in front of him." Daniel informed Ms. Garcia to ease her mind.
"Really? Well, that's fine then. I was concerned that it would create a problem with Alexa. I know that they do not see eye to eye. But, if you say everything is alright, then I rest my case." Ms. Garcia caressed Alexa's arms for comfort.
"Yes! He was a guest at the White House when we had a barbeque party for some of my friends, and we cleared our misunderstanding. We are cool now!" Alexa told Ms. Garcia, with a gleaming eye and sweet smile, plastered on her face.
While Alexa, Daniel, and Ms. Garcia were conversing, Prince Romano and Lady Antella were shooting daggers with each other's eyes. Lady Antella did not like the idea of Prince Romano meeting Alexa, while Prince Romano did not like the Idea of Lady Antella being around the same vicinity as himself.
Meanwhile, inside the private office of Dr. Garcia, Prince Alex sat down comfortably at the sofa and ordered Dr. Garcia to bring Alexa in to have an individual word with him. This had stunned Dr. Garcia for he did not know how he was going to do it.
"Your Royal Highness, it is not that I do not want you to have a private word with Ms. Grant; it is because of Mr. Daniel Grant. If you wanted to speak with her, then you must ask his permission and not mine." He politely declined Prince Alex's request.
"Do you think that I do not know that? I only asked you to bring her here. Of course, you may ask Mr. Grant's permission first. However, I would like to have a word with her alone, without anyone present. Do you understand?"
Dr. Garcia was speechless, unable to think of a reply. 'Damn if I do and damn if I don't, what am I to do in this situation?' He was confused, but he was also trying to figure out what to do and how to do it.
"Well, Dr. Garcia, I would appreciate it if you could get moving as soon as possible. It's getting late, and I know she must be tired from the long flight. I'll be waiting." Prince Alex ordered intensely, not giving Dr. Garcia a chance to decline.
Dr. Garcia had no choice but to go back out and see what he could do...
