The CEO Who Hates Me

Journey Of Love

Journey Of Love

Arya was taken to the place where her family was kept. The place was located in the Northern part of the country which could be reached just by car.

It took Arya ten hours to reach the place.

She slowly opened the car window and smelled the sweet, fresh air. It was a beautiful province where was abundant greenery with lots of trees. This place was gifted with natural beauty.

When she finally reached her destination and stepped out of the car, she couldn't help her tears from flowing as she saw her family, standing outside the house and waiting for her arrival.

"What happened? Why are you all standing outside?" Arya asked. Her voice choking with emotions and eyes filled with tears.

"Rita called and said that you have almost reached here. Reese wanted to wait for you outside." Arya's mom embraced her and said, then frowned when saw her daughter crying.

"Big sis," shouted Reese and opened her arms wide to be carried by Arya. "Why are you crying, sis?" asked Reese when she saw tears in Arya's eyes.

"Your Big Sis is too happy to see you all. These are the tears of joy. Come here, let's see if you have gained some weight." She said smiling as she lifted and carried her little sister in her arms.

----------------------

Inside the house, Arya's father spoke, "Hon, you take Reese to rest in her room. I want to talk to Arya alone."

Her mom nodded and picked up Reese from Arya's lap and quietly left.

"Daughter, what's going on? Why are we here? The woman named Rita told me you had an agreement with their company." Her father asked while confusion could be seen in his eyes.

He paused and then added, "And who was that man? Was he Ryu Ken of Ramada and one of the grandsons of Old Master Ken of RK Summit Holdings, Inc. Group of Companies?"

Arya sighed. There was no point in hiding anything from her father, so she told him everything.

Her dad was an open-minded person, and she didn't hide anything from him and her mom, except her relationship with Jim during college since her dad was against her being in a relationship while she was still studying.

Hearing all that Arya said, her father felt very dejected and incapable of even protecting his family and daughter.

"I am sorry, my child. It's all my fault. I should have protected you better." Her dad burst out crying.

His daughter had gone through so much because of his stupidity.

Arya hugged her dad tightly.

"It's not your fault, Dad. There are so many greedy and evil people in the world who can go to any lengths and care about no one to obtain their goal. Besides, don't you always say that everything happens for a reason, so maybe, there's a reason for whatever happened." She said as she patted her dad's back.

"Don't feel bad anymore. What is important now is that we are all safe. This place is much better for Reese's health too." Arya added as she comforted her dad.

"About the company, Rita has arranged everything, you just need to sign the papers. I believe you don't need to keep the old one. Let's start all over again, Dad." Arya suggested.

Then she explained that the transfer of the company was included in the contract. Tan Corporation would be handed to Rita's group, in exchange for a large sum of money to help them start over again.

She heard her dad sigh and said, "Alright, let's do that and start anew here."

----------------------

Arya looked around and noticed that the house was big enough for them; the size was the same as the Mansion they used to live in back in the City.

She went inside her new room and sat at the side of the bed. She couldn't stop her emotions from flooding in and started helplessly crying. Her heart was aching so much. She felt like there's a dagger, continuously stabbing into her heart.

She wanted to ask Ryu to wait for her, but she didn't have enough courage to do so. She was not that thick-skinned to demand anything after what she had done to him.

She believed that if they were meant to be, then somehow...

Arya shook her head on that thought, it was better not to expect anything at all. She raised her hand and looked at the diamond ring that Ryu had given her, she was still wearing it.

She intentionally did not return it to Ryu because it was the only thing that would remind her how unworthy she was of his love, the only thing that would help her keep her distance from him for ten months.

'Will you still feel the same after ten months?' She thought to herself as she stared at the diamond ring that was sparkling on her finger.

Ten months of hiding. Arya sighed. Would she ever see him again? Could she even face him if ever their paths accidentally crossed? So many 'what ifs' started running in her head.

She just hoped that Ryu would be fine, but her heart was hurting when she thought about the possibility of him hating her or even worse, forgetting about her as time passed by.

Arya took out her new phone. 'What's the use of this?' she complained in her heart. Rita confiscated her old phone, saying they need to contain it.

Arya sighed deeply. She was hopeful that the ten months' time would pass quickly, without her realizing, and maybe, if circumstances permit, she would try to find Ryu.

-----

Chen and Butler Omni stayed at Ryu's apartment the whole night.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Butler Omni suddenly asked.

Chen chuckled. They were both sitting on the couch, watching a reality show on the television.

"I am happy being alone so far," Chen answered in jest as he drank his soda.

"Why? Are you afraid of experiencing pain?" Butler Omni asked.

Then he added, "Someone said that Love is the master key that unlocks the gates of happiness, of hatred, of jealousy, and most important of all, the gates of fear."

"Then there's another saying I remembered - it is better to travel than to arrive. The journey of love has been rather a lacerating, if well-worth-it, journey." Butler Omni continued.

Chen just scratched his head. Butler Omni's lines were too much for him to comment further.
