The Rebirth Of A White Robe Man: I'll Follow You This Time (BL)

Journey

Journey

"Little guy, come here. Look what I got for you?"

In a clearing of a forest, a young woman smiled at the young man dozing on a tree branch while waving the wine jar in her hands. However, seeing as the young man remain unresponsive toward her call, the other young woman standing by her side softly giggles before turning to softly whisper in her older sister's ear.

"Sister Yao, open the wine jar so he could smell it. After all, the one we got for grandfather couldn't compare to it."

"Oh! I should have thought of that, Little Cheng wine is far more delicious and amazing than anyone else! I shouldn't have compared it to the one I bought!"

It was already three days since the ambush and thief incident, and the Shao sisters had traveled along with the young man who helped them out after determining the direction where he was going.

As for the stolen wine, fortunately, the young man was kind enough to give it back to them after they chase after him.

Of course, it took a lot of coaxing since the young man seemed to react slow or simply just ignore his entire surrounding unless he is interested.

As for the matter of their unusually good attitude toward the person they just met, they decided to just follow their instinct, just as their father had always told them, sometimes, it's better to follow their sense no matter how unreasonable, confusing, and with no explanation about it.

And from what they heard in their father's story while growing up, it was what had usually saved their father from constant danger in his life.

"Older sisters, I don't understand why you are being so friendly."

Chia shook her head at the antic of her two older sisters before continuing on her training. Even if she also likes the young man and found him amusing, however, it doesn't mean that she would completely lower her guard.

Sigh…

She was the youngest child in the Shao family, but as always, she couldn't count on her older siblings to be responsible, well, aside from her thoughtful brother Cai though.

Her brother Cai is simply the best sibling!

And then she couldn't help but remember her troublesome third brother that had once again gone in his wanderlust, causing the sword in her hands to become violent as she swing it in the open field.

Although she like the bow the most in using weapons, but, being proficient in using a sword is also important and useful to have. After all, she doesn't want to be in a dangerous situation because of being unable to fight at close range.

"..."

As the seconds passed by, Chia's expression turned darker when she could not suppress the thought of her third brother.

Argh!!!

It's so annoying!

Does he think leaving a letter will simply make everything alright?

It won't make any difference!

Her third brother would never change!

Chia's delicate and exquisite face slowly turned red from anger while her body gracefully moved around in the clearing.

It's useless to have hope, it could only lead a person to be hurt while having expectations would lead one to despair.

Suddenly, a certain shine appeared on Chia's light blue pupils, which she firmly ignored and tried to suppress as a flash of a few images appear in her mind. It was the various scene she had always seen and witnessed while growing up and something she could not forget even if she wanted to.

There is a time during nap time when her mothers thought of her sleeping, her heart always felt uncomfortable at the constant coughing sound from her Mother Yanmei, who was far more worried about her third brother's situation even though her illness during those times was worse than usual.

Then it was her Mother Chunhua showing a tearful and sorrowful expression, looking completely different from her usually bright and happy appearance because her third brother had once again didn't come home to celebrate their birthday celebration.

Chia's lips thin while she continued her training, slowly becoming lost in her thoughts.

Then while being carried in her mother's arm, there she witness how her usually powerful and steady father had shown utter hopelessness in his blue eyes when he thought his children weren't looking in his direction.

Such emotions in her father's eyes always showed during New Year, when the family should be all together celebrating, but, there is always one person missing, which is a sad reminder of how incomplete their family is.

Then on a certain night, her small figure hidden in the dark had watched her older brother sit in the pavilion with an extremely forlorn and distressed expression on his face, while his sad eyes stared toward their third brother's courtyard.

And then it was a situation where her second brother is always turning his head to the sky every time a messenger bird flies nearby, always wondering and being hopeful if there would finally be a letter being sent from their third brother to inform them of his situation.

Only to end up always disappointed because their third brother had never bothered to even write them even a single letter throughout the years of his travel all around the Chang Empire.

In the end, the letter being sent always come from their female cousin.

Then there is her older sister always writing a letter to their third brother, only to receive no reply every single time.

And the saddening part about the entire situation was the thought of their brother's uncaring attitude and that he would never even try to read the letter sent to him, be it by their older sister or the others.

As for her second older sister, she knew that one of the main reasons her sister Yanlin likes to go out to travel once in a while was in the hope to meet their third brother so that she could check on him despite knowing her action wouldn't be appreciated.

Then the most hateful part of her memories growing up was the expectant and hopeful eyes of her fourth brother dying down every single time their third brother ignored him whenever he was at home.

Completely having an indifferent and cold attitude toward any form of brotherly act whenever her fourth brother Cai tried to reach out to him.

There are also letters coming from their grandfather, wondering about their third brother's circumstances along with the worried the Su family about their detached relative.

Throughout the year, Chia had grown up always witnessing the same situation occurring again and again, and what she detest the most was the fact that it was far worse than usual this year because her third brother had ignited their family's hopes that everything would finally turn alright.

When one had to grow up witnessing such a saddening scene, how could it be so easy to forgive and forget everything her third brother had done just like that?

She is still trying to give a chance to her third brother for the sake of her family's feelings, but, he just had to do such an act once again. So how could she trust him?

Chia wasn't the same as her wonderful and loving family who could be so forgiving toward how her third brother had acted all those years ago.

"..."

And yet, she loathe how she couldn't stop herself from feeling hurt even though she already considered and even expected the day when she would be completely let go of any sibling relationship they could have with each other.

I don't like this...

Why won't her third brother just stop hurting their parent and siblings?

He should be resolute in his action and choice! Why couldn't he decide on what he really wanted to happen?

He should know that his sudden wanderlust would cause their family trouble and uneasiness!

I have had enough of always seeing the disheartened, fear, and distress in my parent, brothers', and sisters' appearing in their faces!

So, this time, Chia won't be deluded no matter what reason her third brother would speak off, even if her older brothers and sisters tried to help wouldn't work out. Because, no matter what the situation was, it doesn't change the fact that her third brother had put those negative emotions on their family's faces once again.

So, she is not wrong at all!!!

Swish

In the clearing, the youngest child of the Shao Family continues her violent dance, while the two oldest daughters just shake their heads after seeing their youngest sister at it once again, which they knew was about her thinking of their third brother.

Of course, the two of them could understand what their youngest is getting at, but, they simply love their third brother no matter what.

There is no explanation about their feelings, and if there is ever a chance of making everything alright for once in their life, then they would bet on it instead of missing the chance because of feeling trepidation that everything is just for naught.

Because what's wrong with choosing to continue loving someone instead of succumbing to all the hurtful and negative emotions they felt throughout the year? They rather prefer to be happy instead of living a miserable life.

Yao and Yanlin already had enough of those depressing and dark days.

And if they could still see some salvation in their relationship, then, they will continue to love and adore their third brother with all their hearts.

Especially when all they could see in their third brother's indifferent and cold expression is a heart filled with holes. And hidden underneath it is an extremely lonely soul no matter how much he closed himself off from the entire world.

So, Yao and Yanlin won't give up no matter what.

Especially when they are his big sisters.

"Sigh… look Papa bug, blood connection is really a wonderful thing in the world."

Purple let out a gentle sigh while his purple pupil observes his three aunties, especially when he could also instinctively detect the warm feelings that shone brightly within them.

They have nice and warm souls... even the one that was going to be a troublesome sister to his Papa bug felt nice.

Papa bug family is simply an amazing people, and they should have a good and blessed future and yet, he couldn't help but shook his head after remembering their miserable ending in the previous life.

For a soul with some good merits to end up so bad, really makes one extremely sad, especially when everything bad that occurred was caused by the person they genuinely love with all their heart.

Fortunately, his Papa bug could also have the chance to fix his mistake and give them a different ending.

And the least his Papa bug could do is appreciate the sincere and genuine feelings of the people in his life. Because even Purple understand that to the Shao people, it was simple enough for their feelings to be treated sincerely and seriously.

"Papa bug, although it won't be the same degree compared to Mama bug, but treat them sincerely and nice this time around, alright?"

Purple gently swings his body before using the end of his tail to gently poke the cheek of the unresponsive young man who is busy drinking the wine jar he just received from his older sisters, completely unable to comprehend his words.

"This is nice..."

Hehehe~

His Papa bug couldn't use his favorite potato chips to threaten him~

At least, something good is happening to their situation.

Everything would turn out alright because I'll make sure of it.

"Well, it's better for my Papa bug to travel together with my Aunties."
