Chapter 134- Trinity – Unrest Part 2 (VOLUME 6)

Trinity

There was a lot of tension at the moment. With the picketers, that could so easily become rioters if things weren't settled soon. And there was the fact that we didn't know what these people were going to do. Things could easily become emotionally charged and violent. It was a tough situation all around.

At the moment, there were five groups of people here. There were the people that supported me and my kingdom. The people that wanted to see more of the nonhumans in the world. This was the pro super natural group. The second group was the complete opposite. They thought that we were monsters from hell here to destroy them and their way of life. They felt like we had materialized out of nowhere and were actively trying to rid the world of humans, or that seemed to be what most of them thought of us.

The other three groups consisted of the reporters that had arrived on the scene, Devon and his local police force that couldn't do anything at the moment, and me and my large ensemble of people that were adding fuel to the fire. Now, we were exciting the supporters that were happy to see us and wanted to help us in any way that they could. And we were also antagonizing the haters, making them want to do something against us.

The best outcome here would be for the two groups to settle down, come to a mutual understanding, and go their separate ways. That would be the best thing in my opinion, but it wasn't likely to happen. Now, what was likely to happen was either the haters would get discouraged and leave, or they would get too angry and attack. If they left, then it was all over. If they attacked, then Devon and his team of policemen and policewomen would be able to arrest the picketers that would have evolved into rioters.

Yes, I knew the exact reason that Devon wanted me and the others here, and I was happy to help. Maybe some haters would be educated along the way, but if not, there was nothing that I could do about it. The main thing that I was here for, was to move things along one way or another.

The yelling was continuing. The volume was growing louder and louder, but for the time being it was all civil. Reece and I stood there, looking at the crowd as they yelled mostly at each other. The haters were trying to act like we weren't there at all. They were determined to act like we didn't exist, at least for the moment.

After a little while though, there was a pro super natural supporter that must have noticed something. I was actually surprised that it took this long for them to say anything, with how much both sides had seemed to be following Reece and I at the moment. Hell, even Lara hadn't said anything about what had changed recently.

"OH MY GOODNESS!" A woman from the supporters side had finally called out while she was looking at me. It must have caught everyone by surprise though, because the entire area went silent for several minutes.

"WHAT!? WHAT IS IT!?" I heard another shout, still from the side of the supporters.

"LOOK AT THAT!" The woman that had shouted and brought them all to silence was pointing at me. I smiled, already knowing where she was going with this, and what was likely to follow.

"OH MY!"

"LOOK!"

"WOW!"

"SHE HAD THE BABY!" These were all from the supporters, they were the first to notice and they were, understandably so, celebrating their happiness with us. Soon though, the haters joined in. They knew that I had been pregnant, they were against me and the baby from the beginning.

"THE SPAWN OF SATAN WAS BORN! THE WORLD WILL SURELY END ANY MOMENT NOW!" One of the men in that group shouted at me.

"I am sorry, but my sweet little girl is not the spawn of Satan, who by the way, is a pretty nice guy for one of the rulers of the underworld. However, your narrow minded view of the world will not let you understand that. You think that my baby is a demon, but she is not. She is a sweet little bundle of joy. And if she was going to destroy the world, then it would have happened sometime in the last six days since she was born."

"THE HELL SPAWN LIVES!" The man shouted, seemingly ignoring me. "THE HELL SPAWN IS HERE AND THIS ALTAR OF DEVIL WORSHIPPING STILL STANDS! WE NEED TO BRING IT ALL DOWN! WE NEED TO DESTROY THEM ALL! WE NEED TO END THEM!" There were cheers and agreements that were coming from that side of the groups. "KILL THE SATAN BITCH AND HER HELL SPAWN CHILD!"

"HEY!" Devon shouted at the man as he spoke. "SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT ONE MORE TIME AND I WILL HAVE YOU DOWN AT THE STATION FOR THAT! YOU ARE THREATENING A WOMAN AND HER BABY!"

"I AM THREATENING A MONSTER AND HER HELL SPAWN!" The man countered. "I CANNOT BE CHARGED FOR THREATENING SOMEONE THAT IS NOT HUMAN!"

"YOU CAN!" Devon countered. "FEDERAL LAW GRANTS RIGHTS TO ALL NONHUMAN CITIZENS! THEY ARE GIVEN JUST AS MANY RIGHTS AS YOU ARE! IF YOU THREATEN TO KILL ANYONE LIKE THAT, HUMAN OR NOT, YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF OCCUPYING A CELL DOWNTOWN! I WILL NOT TELL YOU AGAIN!"

"YEAH! THEY HAVE RIGHTS! THEY ARE PEOPLE! STOP THREATENING THEM!" The woman that had noticed that I was no longer pregnant shouted at the man that wanted to kill me and the baby. I knew that he wouldn't get close enough to me, or the baby, to be a threat, so I wasn't worried at all. Reece on the other hand though, he was fuming next to me and barely holding it all together. I knew that he wanted to do something to make those people stop with their angry shouts and hateful words.

"Trinity, we need to put an end to this." He whispered to me from the side. "They are going to try to hurt you."

"They won't try anything Reece, trust me on that. They will be too scared to do anything. These people are not the DOE. They are just angry and want to be heard. They are angry, not violent. At least, they aren't capable of violence yet."

"I don't want to take that chance. I need to get you out of here." He wasn't satisfied with what I had told him.

"Reece, there is no reason to worry. We will take care of this, and we will all be safe. Devon is here as well, with his whole department. They will stop them if they decide to get violent. And on top of that, Lara and Dalton are here to report on this. They will make sure that those haters are shown to be their true selves. We will come out on the top in the end, Reece, we just need to be a little more patient." I was looking up into his golden eyes, the love he felt for me and our family was smoldering inside of them. I could feel that intensity as it washed over me with his gaze.

"I love you, Trinity. I don't want to see you get hurt." He grabbed my hand and squeezed it firmly. "And that goes for emotional pain as well."

"I know, Reece, but I am fine. This doesn't bother me. I am too used to the harsh words of the world. I am not hurt. I pity those people, really. They live lives so full of hatred that they don't know what true happiness really is."

"Little Bunny?" He looked somberly down at me.

"We will be OK, Reece. Just relax."

While I had this private moment with Reece, the two sides of the picket line were still arguing with each other. They very obviously had their strong opinions on everything that they wanted to say. I heard them arguing about who was right and what the fate of me and my baby should be.

"MONSTERS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WALK THIS PLANET!"

"THEY ARE NOT MONSTERS! THEY ARE PEOPLE! LET THEM LIVE IN PEACE!"

"Do you think that they realize that, even if they support us, they are in fact not letting us live in peace?" Vincent asked me sarcastically.

"I don't think that they truly realize it, no." I laughed at him. "At least they don't want us to die, so that is a plus. I mean, I can deal with fans easier than haters."

"Agreed." Vincent nodded at me. "We don't want to worry about what the other side would be able to do."

I could see the clockwork running in Lara's mind, even as she made her way over toward me. She needed her scoop, and so did Dalton. And was that them holding hands as they made their way across the walkway? She was determined to get all of this story out there for the world to see, but she needed my side of it all as well.

"Trinity!?" She called out to me happily as she made it to where I was standing.

"Hello, Lara." I nodded at her. "Quite the display they have going on here, isn't it?" I was deliberately ignoring the real reason that she was here. I knew that it would just pique her interest even more.

"Now Trinity, why didn't you tell me that you had the baby? You know that I would have done an entire piece on it."

"Yeah, so would I. You know that we are here to help you, Queen Trinity. We want to see the world accept and understand the nonhumans as much as possible. And showing them that a sweet little baby was brought into this world would help them. They would see that she looked just like any other baby. I mean, she does look like the other babies, doesn't she?" Dalton started to look worried as he said that. I could tell that he was now worried about offending me and the others.

"Yes, Dalton, she looks like any other baby. She is as human in appearance as a baby born between you and Lara would be." I looked at the way that their shoulders had been touching and watched as they jerked apart from each other. Whatever it was that was happening between these two, it was still in its infancy, and I shouldn't push for details. I didn't want to ruin what they had going between them.

"O..o..oh, O..OK." Dalton nodded and blushed. It was cute seeing how he was responding to the words that I had said. I wouldn't say anymore though, they needed time. Humans always needed more time than nonhumans did. They didn't feel that bond as strongly as we did, so they were often confused.
