Reborn as a Mom

"You should just worry about yourself! As for my family, I will surely take care of them." Ira refuted the male chauvinist pig, Ryan.

"I gave an advise for your well being. You need to rest and stay at home to welcome the little one, shouldn't you?" Ryan smirked.

"Speak less nonsense." Uncle James 

sounded angry.

"Congratulations!" 

If the number of annoying people in the room wasn't enough another one came, Secretary Roth.

"Ma'am, may God bless you and your child." Secretary Roth said. He was her secretary for 10 long years in the past life- currently, he was in his 5th year of servitude-  The person didn't even think for a second before betraying her.

A bloody rat!

He was a spy planted on her side by James Louis.

Ira wished to fire him at this instant. However, she changed her mind to play for a little more.

"Thank you." She replied with a smile. After the show, peace was restored, yet her mood didn't improve.

This year was the time the company planned the release of 'Imatinib', a groundbreaking drug for treating cancer. Their company had created the medication which was now in the final stage of testing.

Ira remembered the time she fought a five-year controversial battle to patent the drug. The application was, at last, rejected by the patent office and by an appeal board. But there was the S Company that was already selling drug similar to Imatinib.

A drug they spent a large amount of money and manpower to complete was in the hands of another.

How did S Company came with a drug that had a familiar constitution as their own? Is it a spy?

She tried to dig out the Spy. The suspects never included James or Ryan because this incident also resulted in the loss of the company and James suffered from a loss as well. 

But she couldn't guess the person she was searching for was already beside her. Her secretary, that worked for her side in 5 years, stole the keys to her locker that contained a confidential information, the contents of the drug.

The S Company actually belonged to James, but only a part of it. The major owner was hidden even after long investigation. 

Ira was so blind in her previous life. She only came to know of his deception when she lost everything, when everything was too late. All these years, so many secrets were all known by her enemy. The secretary was equally responsible for their loss.

Her first target was 'Secretary Roth.'

"Roth, come to my room," Ira called him through intercom.

When Roth arrived, standing before her, she spoke, "Aha, Roth there is an another excellent news you need to congratulate me. You know the drug for cancer which was in research, It was successfully made. And guess what! It works." She laughed, waving a red file in her hand.

"We need to be more careful from now on.You will keep a watch on this. Don't let anyone in my room without my permission." She opened the locker with her key and  placed the file inside carefully.

"The release of this medication will be revolutionary. The prestige of our Rai company will spread across the world." He said. His eyes sparkled with anticipation. 

It was just as she expected, 

When everyone left the building, a rat sneaked into her room with a key in his hand. Roth opened the locker, took the red file as he opened it and laughed.

Ira was watching everything live on her tablet. She had installed secret cameras in her office. The CCTV camera which was already in the room showed everything.  

In reality, the drug was not yet ready, but she created a fake file that was now in her secretary's hands.

With the evidence in her hands, she merely had to wait for everything to fall into her hands.
