Chasing After My Wife

NEW RIVAL? AGAIN?!

NEW RIVAL? AGAIN?!

Valkyrie and Hawk went back to the hospital with Jillyanna and Travis. While the guards were out, taking the skills tests, they will guard them in the hospital for the mean time. A man was sitting on the bench outside Jillyanna's room and he was holding a bouquet of flowers.

"May I know what your purpose is here?" Hawk asked, startling the man and causing some petals to fall off from the bouquet.

"I'm sorry. I…I was told to hand this bouquet to Ms. Jillyanna no matter what happens. I got a large tip so I didn't mind waiting here." The man answered with sweats covering his forehead. 'I didn't know that her guards are scary!' he exclaimed to himself internally.

"Who asked you to send this?" Jillyanna asked since the flowers didn't look like the ones that she likes.

"I don't have any idea. This was ordered through our website and the name of the sender was hard to understand."

"Got it." Travis received the flower in her behalf and led her inside. The man walked away from fear while Valkyrie followed him secretly.

"There is no letter on it?" Jillyanna asked in wonder.

"There's none." Travis checked the bouquet and found nothing out of sorts so, he threw it away.

It wasn't even a minute yet after the flowers were thrown when Jillyanna's phone rang. The string of numbers was extremely familiar. "Yo! Jill, how are you? Did you get my flowers?"

'When will I stop being bothered with these men?' she grimly thought of it while listening to the other person talked.

"I bet your husband threw my flowers already."

"Yes, he did."

"I heard that Natsu came to visit you not long ago."

"Yes, he did."

"A news came to me that you are attacked in the hospital."

"Yes, that happened."

The man was silent for a moment before he burst out laughing. "Why are you getting more boring?"

"Because I am talking to a boring man." Jillyanna retorted.

"Even if we parted in bad ways, I don't mean any harm to you."

"So?"

"Nothing. I just thought that it would be good to speak to you once in a while. And, I am already married so you don't need to be on guard against me."

This time, Jillyanna felt relieved and sighed. "I am glad that you finally settled down."

"Hn. It is just so funny that my wife likes you so much. She had been following you for years. When I found out your identity, I promised that I'd bring her to meet you someday. It took me a long time to get your number."

"And how did you get it?"

"I paid Natsu a huge sum for your number, just so I could let my wife meet you." Jillyanna could hear him taking a deep breath on the other end of the line. "Will you allow my wife to see you?"

"Can she wait until I am fully recovered? I don't want my husband to worry."

"Sure. I'll let her know. Thank you for answering my call. Bye for now."

The call was ended and Travis was looking at her with a raised brow. He didn't need to say anything for Jillyanna to know what he wanted to ask.

"That was one of my classmates back in college. His wife is my fan and when he knew it was me, he promised his wife to let her meet me one day. I told him to wait until I am fully recovered."

"Just a classmate?"

"Uh..an enemy classmate? I guess?"

"Not one of your suitors?" Travis inquired just to make sure that he wasn't going to meet another rival.

"Tristan is not one of those men. He was my no.1 enemy back then. He was smart and knows many things but I often oppose his ideas back then. The last time we fought was the day before our graduation ceremony. I was hailed as the top student and he was second after me. He was furious about the result since I was absent from class most of the time. He hated me because his effort couldn't surpass mine."

"That's all?"

"Well…how should I put this…on the day of our graduation ceremony, he told me something.."

"What is it?" Travis was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed over his chest. "Don't hide anything."

"Uh…he told me that he didn't really want to compete with me at first. He just wanted to let the person he liked that he was worth something other than his looks. He wanted that person to see that he was better. In the end, he couldn't win over me."

"And the person he liked back then was you." Travis added the information that Jillyanna had been trying to hide. She couldn't do anything about it anymore so she just nodded her head slowly. "How many rivals do I have?"

She frowned at this question but and idea instantly popped in her mind. She walked towards him and sat on his lap. She pulled his arms and wrapped it around her waist so that she can lean on him. "How many do you think there were?"

"I don't know and I don't want to guess."

Jillyanna kissed his cheek and smiled at him. "There was only one rival."

"Who? Natsu?"

"Hubby, are you becoming stupid? He isn't worthy of becoming your rival."

"Then who?"

"Your past self." Jillyanna answered him. "I didn't take notice of those men because I was still bound to the past kid that I once fell in love. Even if I hated you, I won't deny the feelings I have for you. During the times that someone would court me, I would use you to ward them off."

"Let's change your contact number. From now on, you will be using my phone and I will be using yours."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want anyone from your suitors to contact you again. Natsu is more than enough to give me stress."

Jillyanna chuckled at this cute reaction from jealousy. Nevertheless, she agreed to his condition.
