Chasing After My Wife

MAKE THEM PAY FOR HER SUFFERINGS

MAKE THEM PAY FOR HER SUFFERINGS

"Ha? What do you mean with my daughter is not coming back?" the woman asked with stiff expression. She didn't expect such words to come out from Jillyanna and it was a little scary to think of.

"Here." Jillyanna handed a letter to the woman. "This is what she wanted me to give you."

The lady, with her trembling hands, took the small envelope from Jillyanna and opened it. In actual fact, the letter was not written by Lyla. It was written by Jackie after learning Lyla's penmanship. Jackie was gifted in copying someone's penmanship but she rarely used it because Jillyanna didn't want her to, unless it was really necessary.

The letter wasn't long like how Lyla wrote a letter to her. It was just a two-paragraphed letter plus, a check inside worth several thousands of dollars, enough to let them live until their bored of their life. The main content of the letter was for her parents to stop looking for her again and that she will never go back to them.

"Ma, I've done everything I could to help you. I did my best but my best wasn't good enough. This is the only money I saved up all these years and I am giving this to you. Thank you for all your love and care." These were the content of the last and second paragraphed.

Jillyanna didn't intend to use that letter but she still prepared it just in case. Why she did that? She gave it some thought as to why Lyla had to resort to selling her body and soul when she can just go home and tell her parents about what happened. She asked to look into her again and try to look for something that happened in her past before coming to the city.

What Shein discovered was pretty scary and disgusting. At the age of twelve, Lyla was molested by her own older brother. Instead of being protected, her parents blamed her for being a slut and for seducing her brother. She grew up, trying her best to forget everything and live her life like nothing happened. On the day before she left to study in the city, her brother did it again to her yet her parents didn't do anything. It seemed like, she was an existence that they never wanted to happen.

She still tried her best to get acknowledgement but her parents didn't give her that feeling of belonging. Instead if going home, she decided to stay in the city and work to provide for her family. It was her way to make them feel that she existed and that she was still out there, waiting for them to call her, to find her and ask her to come home. But there was no one who came to visit her. When she came home, they only asked if she got some money but they never asked how she was doing.

Perhaps, Lyla was waiting for someone to hack her phone or someone to read the message and let it spread to bring shame to her family. She wanted them to feel ashamed of their deeds. Why must she live in suffering while they enjoy the things she works so hard for. She waited for someone to come and save her but there was no one who reached their hands to her. So, she ended up selling her own body to bring money for her family.

It was because of her filthy and disgusting family that she suffered so much. Jillyanna expected Lyla's mother to see something a little truthful to her but none of what she said was true. Her hate surged, she felt so angry that she clenched her fists on her side. Lyla' kept a small folder on her social media account where she stored all her grievances and that's where Shein found this information.

Jillyanna was still mad and she didn't like them to live peacefully. 'Your daughter suffered yet you didn't do anything to help her. You must experience the same fate as her.' She noted mentally while looking at the woman. "I've been friends with Lyla when we were in college but she suddenly stopped going to school. Months ago, she asked me to give you this before she disappeared." She handed a CD to Lyla's mother. They were never proud of her from the very beginning so she wanted them to feel guilty, eating from what their daughter worked so hard for. "That's the job she made to earn the money she gave you all these years. Your son knew it, too." After all, when Shein hacked into different gadgets, he noticed something from one of the gadgets. When he dug even deeper, he found that the gadget was owned by Lyla's brother.

Jillyanna didn't know much about hacking or computer skills, so she didn't ask Shein to elaborate it or she will just get a headache. After an hour, Jillyanna and her group left the simple house, leaving the woman looking at the money and the CD in her hand. When no one was left aside from her, she turned on the tv and their DVD player to see what was inside the disc.

What came out widened her yes, her face paled, the cheque that she was holding fell on the floor and she crumbled down as well. Her daughter was being taken by three males, using her body as much as they want. Even though Lyla was in pain, she endured everything. It wasn't just a single video but there were hundreds of them. She looked at the check on the floor and picked it up.

The words of her daughter from the letter kept flashing in her mind. "Thank you for your love and care." Did they even give that to her? They did not. They only knew how to abuse the goodness of Lyla's heart. She pushed her own daughter to hell while they live heavenly from her suffering.

She was so guilty and that guilt was suffocating her in her heart. She picked a lighter from the kitchen and burned the cheque. After that, she looked for a cloth, tied it on a beam and hang herself to death. When her husband and her son came home later, all that was waiting for them was a video of Lyla playing on the TV and a cold corpse hanging in their living room.

Jillyanna was never a good person. Maybe, what Lyla suffered wasn't her own but, Lyla sacrificed so much in her life without getting anything back in return. Even the smallest amount of love from her parents wasn't given to her. So, why not make them pay? It might not be what Lyla wants but that Jillyanna wanted to do.

Isn't that better? When they're all dead, she can confront all of them in hell. Jackie didn't ask her anything since she knew that her sister was extremely furious right now. Valkyrie didn't know what Jillyanna planned because he wasn't around yesterday since he was moving back and forth between in the hacienda and the mansion.

"Did Lyla really give that letter?" Valkyrie asked Riley who was walking alongside him behind Jillyanna. He knew that Jillyanna was saved by Lyla by donating her heart.

"Nope. It's Jackie who wrote the letter. The cheque was from Jillyanna and the CD was from Shein. It was to make them pay of the suffering that Lyla endured all these years."

"Your sister is really good to help her enemy."

"Good? You call it good?" Riley chuckled at him. "You don't know that my sister just killed them, do you?"

"Killed? She killed them? How?"

"Their physical body might still be alive. Take note, I said 'might'. As for their mentality, I am pretty sure it has crumbled already. If the mother still had conscience, she would be dead by the time we arrive home. As for the husband and the son, I don't know what will happen to them but they won't live peacefully either."

Valkyrie understood what Riley was saying and he agreed at the same time, he took back his words about Jillyanna being good towards her enemy's family. She wasn't good at all!

On their way home, Jillyanna stopped by in a mall to buy something for her kids and husband. She bought a stuff toy for her children and a long coat for her husband. She didn't get this chance of going out everyday so, she wanted to make most of her time while at it.

It was another way to distract herself from her murderous thought as well. It won't be good if she gets home and her daughter sees her like this. "Let's get something to eat first. By the time we arrive home, it will be past noon and I will be scolded if my stomach is empty."

"Let's find a place to eat." Jackie responded while holding one of the shopping bags from her. Riley was bringing the other two. The two men were left to take care of the security around her. The five of them started to look for a place to eat, to fill their stomach and to avoid getting scolded at home. If Jillyanna comes home with an empty stomach, Travis won't just scold her but all five of them. Thus; food was their priority before going back home.

At the same time, the village that they visited earlier was thrown into chaos after a family of three was found dead with their bodies hanging on a beam. Groceries were littered on the floor and a scandalous video was playing on the background.
