Chasing After My Wife

After dinner, Jillyanna went to bed directly. She was so upset with what was happening around her. She was so excited for the upcoming trip without knowing that danger was lurking right in the corner of her life. She hated it!     

"What are you thinking?" Travis questioned when he got inside with baby Raizel in his arms. The child wasn't sleepy yet so he decided to bring him around while Jade took a rest already. The child was also tired from all the exams she took.     

Jillyanna sat on the couch and drew her knees to her chin. "I'm really upset with this new problem. Can't we just live our life peacefully? I mean, why do people want too bother us when we don't even do anything to them! If they want a large piece of land, they can just buy it! Why go through the hassle of killing someone?!"     

"I understand how you feel. Maybe, there's a reason why this was happening."     

"And that reason would be to get rid of the evil people in this world. I'll get rid all of them!"     

"Not you, sweetheart. I can't let you put yourself in harm's way again. Let's have the military handle everything. This is considered their jurisdiction so, we'll just stay behind them and not involve ourselves."     

"But we are involved in this. We are the target, remember?"     

"I know. However, we can just let them handle everything. We'll just wait and see how thing will go. We can't act recklessly or we might tip them off."     

"What about our trip? I have been looking forward to that! This is just ridiculous! Argh!" she was getting more frustrated and just thinking about the trip which will be cancelled made her blood boil. "I hate this."     

Travis took a deep breath and sigh. "I'm sorry for letting you go through all this."     

"Why are you apologizing to me? It's not your fault that some killing maniacs are out there targeting us."     

"Personally, I don't want to cancel our trip as well. However, we need to mind our safety first. We have children that needed protection. Our family needed protection. I hope you'll understand."     

"I understand. I totally understand which is the reason why I am so upset."     

"Wait. I have an idea." Travis smiled happily when he suddenly realized something. "Since there were people who are probably monitoring us, won't they find it weird that we would suddenly cancel our trip? They would think that we know something and would make more preparation against us, against Tristan. Why don't we continue our plan? At the same time, let's have everyone stay in crowded places as well."     

"Like a hotel or resort perhaps?"     

"Right. We can ask them to go on vacation too."     

"All of them?"     

"Yes. All of them."     

Jillyanna thought about it for a while. She didn't have any problem with that since money wasn't an issue to them. They can stay out of their house at the same period of time that Travis and her had their trip. "It seems fine to me. I don't see any problem with that."     

"See. We can all enjoy ourselves while waiting for the military to do their job."     

"Will we be able to arrange everything? We will be leaving in two days."     

"Just leave it to me. Would you like to help me put the baby to sleep? I'll just contact someone."     

"Sure." Jillyanna took the baby from him and went to his room. Travis went to the study room and made a little preparation. Sending them a place with tight security isn't a problem to him. He knew someone who owns a very amazing hotel in the city.     

Stefan was sitting on his couch, alone and sad while taking a sip of his favorite whisky. He wanted to sleep but he couldn't. His insomnia was getting worse and even alcohols won't make him sleep. His sleeping pills don't work on him anymore.     

He was looking at the scenery outside his room, the city lights, the tall buildings around him and the people on the ground, walking to and fro. He was thinking about his life in the past when his phone rang. He fished it out of his pocket and saw Travis' name flashing on the screen.     

"Yo!"     

"Hey. Haven't gone to sleep?" Travis asked.     

"You know I can't. Anyway, what made you call me?"     

"I need your help."     

"Just state it."     

Travis informed him about the plan of sending everyone to have a vacation. He didn't tell him that they were being targeted to make sure that he won't be dragging Stefan with him. "In short, you want me to pull some strings, book two floors of my beach hotel and ask someone to guard your family while you and your wife have a trip in Bali?"     

"Hearing it from you, why does it sound so bad?" Travis commented with faint chuckle. "But, yes. That is right."     

"When do you want it to happen?"     

"In two days."     

"Got it. Send me all the information of the people who will be staying in my hotel so I can have it done as soon as possible. I'll send you the confirmation tomorrow morning."     

"Thanks. I'll email it to you, now."     

Travis sent him the list of the people who will be going for this short vacation including their helpers and the bod guards. They needed to protect the people while they're having a vacation. Though it was stated as vacation, they were most-likely hiding away from the enemy.     

Travis couldn't allow anyone to take the risk of staying at home when their enemy can easily strike them down. The military was still making its preparation and it will probably take them a week to settle everything down. Tristan was very careful when it comes to sending information as well. He might be the best hacker in this world but he was also being monitored. In fact, the leader of the Dragon Gang found out that he visited Jillyanna's house.      

And the next day, he was interrogated.
