Chasing After My Wife

EXPOSED IDENTITIES

EXPOSED IDENTITIES

The gardener who was watering the plants saw his master collapse. He ran to his side and called for help.

Out of nowhere, Brown came and carried the old man back to the house. Jillyanna who saw him carrying Thomas was shocked and scared at the same time.

"What happened to him?" she asked and followed them upstairs. "Why do you know where his room is?" she asked when she observed him walking on the aisle.

Brown didn't say anything and just focused on aiding the man. The room was complete with apparatus and he immediately proceed with the CPR. After seeing him breathing faintly, he hooked up the monitors and other things on Thomas.

Jillyanna sat beside the bed and was holding Thomas's hand with hers. "Uncle, please be alright. I will forgive RV for you. I won't hate him anymore. Just be okay. If you won't wake up, I will hate him for the rest of my life."

Brown was just listening on the side while making sure that Thomas is fine. He can now confirm that the woman they were looking for was her.

"He's fine now." Brown stated and gently pat her shoulder.

"How did you know where he was?" she inquired. She won't let go of the fact that something was amiss with him.

"I got inside to ask for water."

"Why were you at the back garden?"

"The guard told me to go from there since you were talking with him."

"Why do you know which room is his?"

"The gardener told me."

"Why do you how to use these things?"

"I'm a doctor. Remember?"

Jillyanna gave up her interrogation and just stared at him. She didn't believe him at all.

Actually, Brown wasn't lying at all. When Savannah decided to contact Thomas, he went out to get inside the house. He knew how weak Thomas' heart was so he wanted to be there when he's taking call with Savannah.

The gardener and the guard knew him and he had been staying in that mansion for 2 years already. He knew where to go from which location.

"Can I ask you something?" Brown looked directly at her eyes and asked.

"Ask whatever you want." she said nonchalantly while leaning on the chair.

"Why do you always want to escape? Don't you want your child to have a father? I didn't mean this in a negative way, I just think that he'd be lonely. I grew up without my parents so I kinda know how it feels  to have no one." he expressed with a faint smile.

Jillyanna sighed and caressed her stomach. "I don't trust anyone."

"Can't you trust him?"

"After what I've heard, I don't think I can still trust him. There are things that he would show you and make you believe in him. However, behind closed doors, he has plans to use you and dispose whenever he wants."

"Is that really how you see him?"

"Yes."

She didn't even doubt or stutter with her answers. She heard it with her own ears after all.

"I'll go out for a while. Call me if something came up." Brown stated and left.

Jillyanna was left alone with the sleeping Thomas. She used the couch and slept on it since she was feeling sleepy as well.

Time passed quickly and she woke up when a series of footsteps can be heard stomping on the floor.

It was dark outside when she looked at the window and it was drizzling, too. She sat up on the couch just in time for a man to come in.

Her eyes go wide as well as the person who just came in. Surprised, joy, pain and relief were suffocating Travis when he saw her.

"Son?" It was Thomas who called out to him when he woke up from the noise outside his door.

Jillyanna couldn't describe her feelings at all. She was feeling cold, feeling betrayed, angry, mocked and all the other negative emotions.

'Travis and RV is just the same person? Such a dumb bloke! I should have investigated him!' she cursed herself and just looked at him without saying anything.

Travis wanted to say something but he was worried about his father as well so he walked to him.

Jillyanna also walked towards Thomas and bowed deeply. "Thank you for taking care of me all these years. I am glad you are doing fine. I have to go out now."

She didn't wait for anyone's response and walked out of the room.

"Jill." Travis called out but she turned to look at him with a fiery gaze.

"Don't you dare follow me! Take a step and I'll jump off from this floor. Dare me RV!" she had a defiant look on her face which stopped him on his track.

She opened the door and saw Savannah and Brown leaning on the wall. "I am glad I never trusted anyone." she said before slamming the door close behind her.

Even after saying those words, the pain in her heart can't be dulled out. It was so intense she wanted to rip her chest open.

When she got out, she threw the bracelet that he gave to her and ran out to hail a taxi. Raindrops fell on her face, tears were pooling in her eyes, her vision was blurry as she walked under the rain.

She got on the taxi when it stopped in front of her just as Travis came out of the gate with her bracelet!

"Damn it!" he cursed and kicked the gate in front of him. Brown came out with his car and Travis got in, all wet from head-to-toe.

"Follow the taxi." Travis spoke in agitation.

"No need. Base on the locator I placed on her, she's on her way back to her house." Brown responded. Savannah was left to take care of Thomas since he hasn't fully recovered. It was her fault, too.

"When did you place the locator on her?"

"We found out her identity when we came here. Base on her personality, once she knew who you are, she would run away for sure. I placed the device when I was patting her shoulder this morning."

"I'm going to go crazy if I lose her!"
