Chasing After My Wife

HER EXISTENCE IS HAPPINESS

HER EXISTENCE IS HAPPINESS

Jillyanna was inside the interrogation room for an hour before everything was settled. Simon didn't say anything more after all the revelations and was escorted back to his cell. He was placed on a separate cell because the police officers were afraid that the other criminals will do something to him.

Lucian who heard everything from start to end felt different emotions for the little sister he got in front of him.

Ever since Jillyanna came, Cielo was never lonely and she would always smile and was more open to her emotions because she had a sister she can talk to. Lucian wasn't asking for anything huge but to see Cielo happy and Jillyanna granted that wish for him.

Her existence brought happiness to their life but that person went through a lot without them knowing. She struggled to fit in to their life, afraid that she would be abandoned again. She did her best to earn money because she thought that was the way to repay the kindness of the Madrid family.

Jillyanna had always been beautiful and she looked timid and harmless. He didn't even know she's someone cold and cruel until that time he discovered her secrets. From then on, she didn't hide anything from him, there's no point of doing it.

Looking at her right now, brought so much memories to him. She looked similar to the woman in his mind at the same time different.

Lucian approached her and ruffled her hair a little. He had a smile on his lips, the kind of smile that comforts a broken soul.

"I am so proud of you. You are the bravest person I know who doesn't cower when facing a giant enemies. I am sure your mother will be so happy for you." Lucian uttered softly. He wanted to ask her something else but he was afraid that it would trigger her to feel bad.

For him, getting pregnant knowing that she had to get an operation sounded selfish. They didn't know about this news and they didn't know how to respond to this. 'Looks like I have to talk to Eliezer.' Lucian thought to himself.

Jillyanna smiled back to him and took his hand away from his head while looking intently in his eyes. "I hope you won't say anything about my heart condition."

"Huh? but.."

"No buts. I am looking for a way to deal with this. I don't want to worry anyone else so please keep this a secret for me."

"Yanna, don't you think you are being irresponsible? If you want to find a way, why can't we? Why are you taking the chance way from us when we can actually help you? How about Travis? Did you tell him? Don't you think it would be better if you let us know?"

The questions didn't render her speechless but his tone and emotions did. Jillyanna felt guilty with her decision. She knew they cared for her but she didn't want them to worry as well.

"Just give me time. I will let you guys know about this. Give me a month of time." she informed Lucian with a pleading look which made him give in to her request. "Thanks bro."

She didn't take much time and left the station. She was planning to visit the cemetery and talk to her mother again.

Meanwhile...

"What happened here? Does it mean we no longer have a job? How about our last pay?" many people had the same questions running around their mind upon arriving at the building.

It wasn't so messy anymore like the past night but blood and different weapons were lying on the ground. Several police officers and personnel from the special task force were checking the place. They also cordoned the area to stop any civilians from coming in.

Overnight, hundreds of employees lost their jobs. They didn't know anything until noon of the same day when the latest news was released and the content was mostly about the laboratory that they were working.

"I can't believe this! We were actually working for these scums and monsters!" exclaimed the young woman who once offered Brown her concealer.

"Goodness gracious! What kind of horrible being did we look up to?"

"I guess the other research and experiments were just a cover for these horrible experiments."

"And the children! They used living children and adult! This is really inhumane!"

"The deserve a death punishment."

"Yes they will be sentenced to death except for one person."

"There is an exception?"

The subject circled around the punishment and the exception but it wasn't mention in the news who was the person who got away from death penalty. Even so, he will be sentenced to a three years of imprisonment since he wasn't really directly involved in the murders, kidnapping and experiments.

Jillyanna didn't need to ask who the person was cause she knew who exactly it was since there was no one else who helped her and Brown aside from Simon.

Jillyanna asked the driver to send her to the cemetery first before they head back to the hospital. This time, she visited the grave of her mother and mother-in-law with joy in her heart. It was the joy of serving them the justice they deserved after a decade had passed.

She prayed for their souls to rest in peace and she told her mother silently about the concern of her little brother. She wanted her mother to know that in her so-called family, someone really cared for her.

She also prayed that they would guide Travis back to her and not bring him with them. She insisted that it wasn't his time yet. "Please give him back to me. Our baby and I need him. Don't take him away from me." Jillyanna murmured solemnly with her hands clasped together. "I will really be a good wife for him. I won't bully him and I won't give him a hard time. Just give him back to me."

Jillyanna had been worried for Travis and for the company that she often forget about the matter of her heart. Nevertheless, she was happy that she could help him maintain his prestige. He was the most important person to her.
