Chasing After My Wife

HE WAS PLANNING TO SHOW OFF

HE WAS PLANNING TO SHOW OFF

It was a shock and surprise to everyone when they finally finished the video. To those who knew her, who often see her, they were utterly surprise to know that she was the goddess they were looking up to.

"My gosh! She's a silent type of woman during our university days. She's kinda nerd and timid but she often laugh and smile with her closest friends."

"I once saw these two people in a cafe. That time, I was so envious with their interaction. It was very clear that the guy loves this woman so much." This comment made Jillyanna cringe in her seat.

'What the hell is this person talking about? This person must be blind?' she exclaimed to herself while scrolling down quickly so that Travis won't see it but he still did.

"See? Even people can see my love for you." he whispered close to her ears, making Jillyanna blush and threw a deathly glare at him.

She continued reading the comments, ignoring him and his teasing. She refreshed the page and was surprised to see his followers. It was almost the same number as hers.

"How come there are so many people following you? Didn't you keep behind close doors?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know. Maybe they just followed me because I showed up on your music video." Travis shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't his fault, alright?

"Whatever. I'll take a rest first. My eyes are hurting from staring at your phone. I'll read the comments later." she returned his phone to him and stood up. "Guys, I'll leave you here for a while. I want to take a rest."

"Go ahead."

"Alright."

"Just let us know if there's something you need."

They all agreed and nodded their heads to her. Jillyanna walked away with Travis following behind her, holding the his laptop and phone.

"I'll continue my work while you rest." Travis told her when they got back to their room.

"Why don't you do it in the study room?" she inquired. Ever since they got back, he would always work in their room.

Travis placed his things on the bedside drawer and sat on the bed beside her. "If I stay in the study room, I won't be able to answer you if you have questions. I won't be able to tend to you if you need anything. Beside, my work is just simple. All I need is my laptop."

"You're making sense. Okay. You go to work now. If you want to go to the study just tell me. I'm not disable you know. I can still do some things on my own." she informed him before getting under the new duvet. Brown had cleaned the place for them when she was sent to the hospital so she didn't have any worries.

Thinking about what happened and how much they cared for her, she felt a little guilty. She even said something hurtful to them.

"What are you thinking?" Travis asked her when he found that she was in a daze with a sad face.

"Nothing. Don't mind me." she turned her back on him and closed her eyes but, she was so bothered and couldn't sleep. She turned to face him again and watched him work.

Travis raised his head again and looked at her. "Can't sleep?"

She nodded her head in silence. "Can I see your work? Maybe I'd get tired looking at it."

"Come here."

She slid out of her bed and came to sit beside him. He was currently typing some suggestions on a document while encircling some things he didn't like.

"Is this a project for the plaza?" she inquired though she wasn't really interested in it.

"Hn. There are several projects that we are planning for this year. How about you? What are your plans?"

"Because of your friend, everything was ruined." she muttered to herself but Travis still heard it.

"Hey don't be mean."

"Hahaha. Look at you getting all agitated. I was just stating a fact. Anyway, I don't have any plans for now. I'll rely on you." she was laughing at him when he looked so scared with her statement.

"That's more like it. I told Savannah about us getting a nanny or a cleaner and she's working on it. Before the end of the week, we'll have someone to help us at home."

Even though they were talking, Travis was still working while Jillyanna leaned on the couch.

"What time will you go to the company tomorrow? I mean I don't like waking up so early. You're not leaving me, right?"

Travis looked at her and stole a kiss on her nose, "We'll go there when you're awake."

They talked about different things, mostly about her, the baby and her work. "Now that we have exposed ourselves, you don't mind me showing off to you right?" he asked her out of nowhere.

"Show off? I don't care. Even if I have little money, it can still last me several lifetimes." she rolled her eyes at him, misunderstanding his meaning.

Travis chuckled and pulled her for a hug. "I won't boast my riches to you, just a little bit of my connections."

"Whatever."

"You won't be bothered if I get several body guards for us, right? Many people are after your wealth and your mother's research. It's not safe. At the same time, my friends need to leave time to time for a mission so we needed someone to guard the house and guard you."

Jillyanna just nodded her head in agreement. If it's for the safety of her and the baby, why not? She'd gladly accept his help.

Travis told her about some of the plans he thought these past few days and asked for her opinion. In the end, it was all agreed by her.

It wasn't even half an hour since she sat beside him and he fell asleep in his arms. Travis kissed her forehead and carried her off back to their bed so that she can sleep peacefully.

"No matter what, I will not let you go. Just trust me." he stole another kiss on her nose and left her side to continue working, ignoring all the notifications, mentions and messages on his account.
