Chasing After My Wife

CAUGHT A FEVER

CAUGHT A FEVER

Travis and Hawk left them and Jillyanna was still inside her room. She didn't even go out to eat snacks in the afternoon which she always do before.

Just around six in the evening, Travis and Hawk came back with so many things. They even bought groceries which they had neglected since there were still stuff inside Jillyanna's cupboard and refrigerator.

"I will show you the guest rooms. We don't have many rooms here. We only have three rooms available which would be enough for you." Cielo spoke as she helped them get their things inside. Even if they were guests, they were actually asking favor from them so wanted to help in a little way.

"It's fine. We'll be sharing rooms. Valkyrie and Brown will be coming over after their mission so they needed to have a room." Travis responded to her as he followed with his things.

"I will be sharing room with Savannah so it's fine." Hawk stated with a calm and collected face. Savannah was blushing from embarrassment beside him.

"That's good to know. Travis can use one of the rooms and you guys can use the other. We'll reserve the other room for your two friends." Cielo suggested which gained agreement from all three.

Travis and Hawk were going up and down to bring their things upstairs as well as Brown and Valkyrie's things.

When they finished arranging their stuff, Cielo and Savannah were done preparing their dinner as well.

"Cielo, what are those rooms over there?" Savannah inquired. She was looking behind the bookshelves were two locked doors can be seen.

"Jillyanna put those bookshelves to keep anyone from barging into that room. You have a very keen eyes. No one would actually notice that." Cielo answered while scooping the soup for Jillyanna into the bowl.

"Well, it was Travis who saw it first. So I am just asking." Savannah commented.

"Don't let Jillyanna hear that you are curios about that room. She'd flare up and tell them not to bring up this topic. You must not get inside that room. She once told me that you can wander around the house, get into the rooms except these two doors. These must not be opened aside from her. She would always go back even when she's out of the country just to clean these rooms."

"So it's very important to her."

"It is. Anyway, let me call them out. We have to eat." Cielo removed her apron and ran towards Jillyanna's room.

She knocked on the door but there was no answer. 'This woman.'she mumbled mentally before knocking once again. "I am giving you 5 minutes. Use whatever you can."

After giving her an ultimatum, she went to knock on Travis door to invite him for dinner as well as hawk on the other side.

When five minutes was up, she went back to Jillyanna's room and opened the door knob. "Yanna, dinner is ready." she woke her up but she didn't budge and she was clutching her blanket tightly.

Cielo frowned since she didn't turn on the air conditioner but she was feeling cold. "Yanna?" she placed her hand on her forehead which made her gasps. "Oh my! Yanna you're having a fever."

Cielo was worried and immediately looked for clothes she can wear. Travis, who heard Cielo's words when he passed by, came inside her room.

"What happened?" he asked and checked her temperature while Cielo looked for clothes.

"As you can see, she's having a fever. I will be calling the family doctor. You don't have to worry. Let me dress her up first." she put the clothes on the bed. "Can you go out first?"

Travis picked up the clothes and without saying anything, she dressed her up on his own. "I helped her change before. It's nothing new to me. You can have dinner first. I will take care of her."

"Are you sure?" Cielo asked hesitantly because Jillyanna would surely flare when she sees him.

"I need to earn points from her right? Taking care could make her fall in love with me." Travis joked at her, making Cielo smile.

"Alright. I will send your food here." Cielo left him in Jillyanna's room to take care of her.

She contacted Eliezer as soon as possible to let him know about Jillyanna's condition. After letting him know, she went to the kitchen to get food for Travis.

"Where are they?" Savannah asked.

"Travis is taking care of Jillyanna. She's having a high fever. I will bring their food upstairs." Cielo answered her.

Meanwhile, Travis couldn't find any basin on Jillyanna's bathroom so he used the smallest pale there and put water on it. He looked for alcohol and mixed it with water.

He found several medicines on her first aid kit so he ran out of her room and fetched a glass of water before running back to her room.

She was unconscious and wouldn't respond to his call. Travis put on the table on his mouth and drank some water. He pinched her jaw to open up her mouth and gave her what was on his mouth.

Jillyanna gulped the water and her brows crunched up lightly but she didn't wake up. Travis dipped the face towel in the water and wiped her face, her neck, her arms, her stomach and her legs.

"I hate you." Jillyanna murmured. Travis was stunned at first but he still smiled helplessly at her.

After half and hour, Cielo came inside with a tray of food and a man behind her.

"Eat first while the doctor check on her." she placed the food on the bedside table which was closer to Travis.

"Thank you." he said but he was still looking at Jillyanna. He didn't even care about the doctor.

Eliezer who saw the man was stunned. Aside from her family, he was the only man close to Jillyanna but now, someone was there watching over her.

"Who is he?" he asked Cielo who have her a guilty look. She was guilty because she was supporting him all this time but now, she thought Travis could protect and Eliezer can't.

"This is Travis. He is Jillyanna's future husband, the father of her child." she introduced. "This is our family doctor, Eliezer Rivera."
