Chasing After My Wife

Travis narrated what happened to them. The picture was already deleted so they didn't see what was really sent to Jillyanna. However, base on his narration, they could sum up just how hateful Ryden was.     

"How about Lyla? Didn't she work with them?" Valkyrie asked upon remembering the woman who made issues against Jillyanna before.     

"I am not sure about her but after what happened to Hans, I haven't heard anything about her. It's like she disappeared into thin air." Travis responded. "I don't really care about her though so, I don't know if she's still alive or dead."     

"I hope she won't do anything anymore. It's already a complete mess and I don't think I'd welcome an additional stress." Savannah also commented. "How about your baby? Can we see him?"     

"Hn. Let the nurse show you the nursery room. I don't want to leave my wife."     

They just nodded their head and waited for the nurse who was checking on Jillyanna to finish her routine. The only good thing that happened the past few days was that Jillyanna ceased to convulse from time to time. Her vitals dropped a few times as well but it wasn't very severe like last time. At least in a day, the doctors were now running back 'n forth thrice a day. Unlike before that they would come almost every hour.     

Travis just his friends left to check his son. Top was sitting on the bench, waiting for any instructions. In the past few days, he was tasked to look after Jillyanna and Travis during the day. At night Jackie would look after them with Vincent since she has no class, as per curriculum, it was her vacation time.     

Shein was still busy working at Venus Plaza while Riley tried to finish some work even though she was still wounded. People who knew about what happened keep their mouth tightly sealed to make sure that no one from any media company would know of this issue. It was to make sure that Jillyanna won't be disturb during this critical moment.     

Atty. Lewis visited them once to make sure that she was still breathing and fighting for life. Cheska and Diego would drop by from time to time to check on Travis, Jillyanna and the baby.     

Jade was told to stay at home and study. They didn't want her to keep seeing Jillyanna in a difficult state. It would be depressing for a child to relive the moment her biological mother died. It would leave a shadow in her heart if she keeps seeing Jillyanna lying in bed.     

She already blamed herself and suffered, they couldn't afford to add more burden on her shoulders. Sometimes, Travis would call her to let her know that Jillyanna was getting better and that the baby was slowly developing. It was the only way for them to keep moving forward.     

Few minutes later, his friends came back with a little joy in their eyes. Savannah was really surprised to see such a small baby. She even looked at him for such a long time, trying to make whose face did the baby look like the most. In the end, she couldn't tell if he looked like Jillyanna or if he looked like Travis.     

"Wait for few more months and you would see which side did he look like." Brown told her so that she'd stop staring at the baby.     

"Right."     

When they reached the ICU, Hawk also arrived with a box of food that he bought. He gave it to Travis and leaned on the glass window to see Jillyanna. "Why don't you go to the VIP room, eat and take a rest. I will look after your wife and call you if anything happens. I don't you will last longer than her if you forget to take care of yourself." He mumbled softly without looking back at him.     

Travis looked at the food in his hands and his stomach growled. He was hungry. He didn't respond to Hawk and left to go back to the VIP room where Jillyanna stayed before. He ate the food, slowly filling in his empty stomach. After eating, he took a shower and changed his clothes; getting ready to sleep and get more energy to look after her later.     

Now that they're back, he felt a little at ease. He knew that they would never let anything slip under their watch. Savannah sat on the bench to guard with Hawk. Valkyrie and Brown went back to the hacienda first to get some rest. They tacitly decided that Savannah and Hawk will stay during the day while Brown and Valkyrie will stay during night time.     

Which means, Top and Jackie would be able to take a break as well. Since Top didn't have any family or dependent, he stayed back in the Madrid's villa and helped with the security. Sometimes, he would plant different flowers with Jade to keep the child occupied. Some other times, he would teach her basic martial arts.     

Sky was against it at first but she realized that it would be good for Jade to protect herself against bullies someday. Walter still continued to come and see her during weekend but he never took her out of the house. He didn't want to put her life in danger.     

Day after day, different people came to visit Jillyanna. Day after day, Jade would ask her father as to when they'd come home. Day after day, doctors and nurses came to check her vitals, rescue her when she convulses and expressed their sorrow when nothing changes.     

Still, Travis didn't lose hope. Jillyanna didn't give up on him when he was the one lying on the bed. This time, he will never give up on her. He will stay by her side. He will continue to talk to her until she's fed up and decided to open her eyes. He will never ever let go of her no matter how much it would cost him.
