Chasing After My Wife

THE GRAND WEDDING V

THE GRAND WEDDING V

The wedding ceremony took an hour before it officially ended which was planned in order to have lunch with the guests.

Jillyanna and Travis got inside the limousine and waited for Jade who was carried off by Valkyrie.

"Where are we going after this Uncle Matt?" Jade asked while she was being carried out of the church. She can see almost everyone from her top view.

"We are going to the hotel reception. We will eat with everyone." Valkyrie answered.

"Really?!" her round eyes of surprise made everyone smile happily at her. "We are all eating together?! All of us?! This many?! Are we even going to fit in one table?"

"You will find out soon." Valkyrie opened the door and gave her to Travis. "Don't worry about anything, the security was tightened with Major General Calhoun and my father." he informed Travis shortly. He closed the door after and watched Top drove the car out of the place.

Shein went towards his own van and checked Savannah who was busy checking the crowd. "Are we taking off the cameras?"

"Nope. We'll take it tomorrow. That's what I promised to the priest." Shein responded.

Cars of different brands, different sizes and colors followed the limousine towards the hotel where the reception was held.

"Oh my god! This wedding costs several tens of millions." one of the guests exclaimed when they saw the name of the hotel and the venue. It was none other than Hyatt Regency Hotel. It might not be the most expensive hotel in the world but it still expensive for common people. And to think that they booked the largest hall, several numbers of rooms for the entourage and their personal use, they thought that Travis spent a lot of money.

"Boss, the groom and bride arrived." one of the men reported to Ryden.

"Go to your respective position. Don't do anything until I say so." Ryden picked up his gun and knives from the table. He was staying in one of the hotel rooms, too. In fact, he was staying on the floor next to Jillyanna's. He couldn't get a room in the same floor as her since Travis booked the whole floor for their family, friends or any guests who wanted to take a rest.

"Wow! This is indeed a very huge place." Jade stated while walking in between her mother and father. "Are we going to eat here with all these guests?"

"Hn." Jillyanna nodded her head. As they walked down the aisle, Jade saw Atty. Lewis standing with some gentlemen.

"Grandpa!" Jade exclaimed happily. "Mom, can I go to grandpa Lewis?"

"Sure." Jillyanna and Travis let go of her hand.

She ran immediately towards the old man and hugged him. "Grandpa, how are you?"

The other guests were watching her making interaction with the old man. She looked extremely pleased to see him.

"I've been doing great little Jade. How about you?" Atty. Lewis looked at the child who seemed to be more livelier compared to the time she was in the orphanage.

"I am so happy grandpa. Everyone was taking good care of me. They bought me so many things and they taught me different skills." Jade responded enthusiastically. "Last time, I played with Uncle Shein's computer. I also baked cookies with grandmother Sky. Mommy, helped me make a bracelet, too. She reached for her small pouch and took a personalized bracelet. "This is for you grandpa."

"Wow! This is beautiful. Thank you."

"You're welcome grandpa."

While they spoke to each other, other businessmen who saw Jade talking to the old man gasped in astonishment. "Isn't that Atty. Lewis who never lose in any court case?"

"The one who was rumored to be dead?"

"No, he didn't die. He was taken by Anton Xavier."

"The one who owned the largest shoe company in our city?"

"Yes, that Anton."

"Then, how did he become acquainted with the little girl?"

"I don't know. I didn't pay attention to him anymore. He stopped taking cases as well."

They were curious about so many things but Jillyanna and Travis didn't care about it. He was busy coordinating with his men to secure the place. Jillyanna was busy calming her heart as well.

Jillyanna's teacher was at the hotel's kitchen, checking the food to make sure that no one tampered it. Before the waiters could get inside, they will be checked by Hawk and his men at the door. They even got a dog to sniff for any bomb hidden under the trolly carts.

Major General Calhoun arrived with Dr. Anderson, still wearing his camouflage and boots. "I just arrived this morning and didn't have time to change." He told Travis and Jillyanna.

His imposing manner and calm stride made everyone felt envious for his connection. Sadly, they don't like mingling with other people aside from their families.

"Thanks for coming Uncle." Travis clasped his hand with the other man and gave him a hug. Jillyanna also greeted him and placed made a proper salute.

"I prefer to gave you a salute since I can stand straight. It's really difficult to lean with this heavy ball of stomach." Jillyanna explained to make sure that she won't be misunderstood.

Calhoun chuckled and nodded his head. "I can understand. When my wife was pregnant, she heated bending or leaning over as well." He closed the distance between them to give a short information. "Don't worry about the security. My men are stationed in different low and high places."

The Major General wasn't lying at all. All his forces who didn't have any mission in the meantime was brought by him to secure the place. Some were dressed with suits and ties, some were acting like normal civilians on the street, some worked as part of the kitchen staff, others were waiters and some roamed around the hotel to make sure that no one could sneaked inside.

The floor to Jillyanna's room was also heavily guarded and the guards had a lists of name of who were allowed to come inside and who were not.

Several men were staying at the highest floor of the hotel with Shein. One had a binocular on his hand. "Report, one man on the second floor of the building across the hotel is not one of us. He is heavily armed and had been checking the hotel."

"Copy that!"

"Report, a man dressed us civilian had been checking the limousine thrice now. Go and catch him." He sent a picture to their phone to make sure that they would get the right person.

"Yes, sir!"

"Report..."

One after another, the officers at the top floor dispatched their men while Shein hacked into street cameras, hotel cameras and other things that he can look into. There were drones outside as well to monitor the surrounding.

A military officer barged into the second floor of the building across the hotel. A man who was trying to assemble his gun was caught red-handed.

"Who are you?! Why are you here?!" he pointed his gun at the officer who was dressed with civilian clothes.

"You forgot the bullet case." the officer smiled and picked up the case on the bed. "I'm telling you, whatever you are planning to do with your friends, you better stop it. We all know your position."

"Boss! Boss! Run! Someone tipped us off! We are completely known by the target!"

"You dare!" the officer landed a quick and heavy punch, making the man fall in one blow.

Ryden heard the sound from the back ground. Jillyanna knew of their plans and made ample preparations. His men was being taken down one after another.

"Damn that bitch! Damn it!" He hid his things and went out of his room. "I will take this lose today but I will make sure to let you pay one day."
