Kiho only used a thin layer of his ice to cover Winter, still in his Moon Serpent form, to immobilize him.     

He was also planning to suck out most of his son's Mana to knock him out.     

[I was hoping Winter would return to his human form once his energy was depleted.]     

But, much to Kiho's shock, Winter seemed to have used his own ice unconsciously and covered his entire body with it.     

[No!]     

It happened so quickly that he could only watch his son turn into an ice sculpture while suspended in the air.     

Ah!     

This wasn't the right time to be shocked.     

"Winter!" Kiho yelled while punching the ice that covered his son. "What kind of ice is this?"     

If it was the same ice that Kiho and Winter possessed, then he could have melted it easily.     

But the ice was too thick and too sturdy for him to melt.     

"Fire," Kiho whispered to himself. "Only a fire as strong as Tilly's can melt this ice…"     

He was forced to stop thinking when, all of a sudden, Wixx hit Winter's back.     

It seemed like the Red Phoenix was sent flying and ended up hitting the Moon Serpent that was suspended in the air.     

Even though Wixx's body was covered with flame, the ice covering Winter didn't melt.     

"What are you yelling for when you're the one who froze my nephew?" Wixx complained, touching the back of his head that was bleeding, while flying towards Kiho. "What happened?"     

"I should be the one asking you that," Kiho said, looking past Wixx's shoulder. "You can't even scratch Aku Moonchester?"     

Yes, Aku Moonchester was suspended in the air, right above them, looking high and mighty.     

[His third eye still looks creepy even now.]     

"Hey, you should be blaming your father for blessing Aku Moonchester with the strongest protection in the world," Wixx complained in an obviously annoyed tone. "Have you forgotten that we, the Beast Gods, can't hurt or kill him because of the Moon's blessing?"     

Ah, right.     

The Moon God blessed Aku Moonchester with that kind of protection.     

[And, according to the prophecy, only Winter can kill that monster.]     

"I'll go and face Aku Moonchester," Kiho said while flying upward to meet Aku Moonchester. "Wixx, please melt the ice that froze Moon Serpent. I can't melt it, but your fire might be able to do it."     

Wixx knitted his eyebrows, obviously confused. "I thought your ice won't harm my nephew?"     

"Exactly– but that's NOT my ice."     

The Red Phoenix just cursed when he realized the gravity of the situation, then he immediately placed his flame-covered hands to melt Winter's ice.     

[I can entrust my son to him.]     

Hence, Kiho didn't hesitate to fly towards Aku Moonchester.     

"Brother, it's been a while since you saw me in this appearance, right?" Aku Moonchester asked, smiling at him. "Don't we look alike when I'm in this form?"     

Ridiculous.     

Nothing had changed much in Aku Moonchester.     

[Physically, at least.]     

Aku Moonchester's hair had just gone longer just like how Kiho's hair was long when he was still living as Kalel.     

Oh, right.     

Their hair color back then was also similar.     

"I don't have a third eye on my forehead, do I?" Kiho said, summoning his ice staff. "I don't understand how we look alike."     

Without wasting any more time, he spun the ice staff in his hands.     

Since Aku Moonchester had already regained his previous divine power, Kiho was determined to go all out from the beginning.     

Hence, he used his biggest card right away: controlling the weather.     

The clouds above them had turned dark.     

Then thunder roared and flashes of lightning flashed before the rain poured hard.     

[Haaah.]     

Controlling the weather was depleting Kiho's Mana fast, but he wasn't done yet.     

Once it started pouring heavily, he changed the raindrops into thin yet sharp daggers. And then he froze the "ice drops," now all suspended in the air.     

He felt the urge to cough up blood because the technique that he had just used actually messed up with his insides. After all, using that amount of Mana and divine power all at once while still in his mortal body was pretty much a torture.     

"Brother, don't push yourself too hard," Aku Moonchjester said, mocking him. "You know you can't kill me anyway."     

"Shut up," Kiho said as firmly as he could even though his entire body was begging him to stop. He didn't, and he once again spun the ice staff in his hands. "Talk once you survived this attack."     

The suspended frozen ice daggers in the air all moved at the same time.     

Of course, the target was Aku Moonchester who just laughed while moving his hands until he created a ring of fire around him.     

Huh?     

Kiho was, naturally, shocked by that.     

[Since when could Aku Moonchester use fire?]

"JUST LIKE you, I want to be a human."     

Huh?     

Winter was confused and very much disoriented.     

When he woke up feeling like his entire body had been beaten up, he realized that he woke up as the Moon Serpent.     

[The Moon Serpent of the past, to be precise.]     

He was shocked, of course.     

But he couldn't move or say anything in that form.     

[Is it because the Moon Serpent is a divine beast without a mind of its own?]     

"You want to be human, too, don't you?"     

Hmm?     

Winter stared intently at the child in front of him.     

The little boy looked different from normal people, and it was because of the third eye on his forehead.     

[That "eye" looked like a little black moon, though.]     

"If you spare me, I will ask the Moon God to help you get reborn as a human, too."     

What?     

"You're the Moon Serpent who swallowed my siblings, aren't you?"     

Okay, that was surprising even though Winter already knew that the Moon Serpent was a divine beast that swallowed the moons in the past.     

"I don't have a name, but people call me the last little moon. Can we be friends?"     

Wait…     

Now that Winter was looking closely, he realized that the child was familiar…     

… and then he gasped when he finally recognized the young boy.     

[Aku Moonchester?!]
