Time to Descend

Time to Descend

LUNA quickly closed the barrier as soon as the Blue Dragon's severed head fell into the hole that was the ancient magic circle.

Elis Ripperton growled and shouted a string of profanities.

But that soon ended.

CRUNCH.

Yes, that was the sound of the Blue Dragon's bones and flesh getting minced by the Ancient Crades below.

It sounded gruesome, hence she made the barrier sound-proof.

"The problem with the Ancient Crades is now solved," Noel Sherwood said. "Do you need help in closing the ancient magic circle?"

"Thank you, but I got this," Luna said confidently. Her confidence grew thanks to the fact that she didn't have to worry about the Ancient Crades that managed to come out from the circle earlier. "But I'll appreciate it if you continue to act as my guard, Captain Sherwood."

"Of course," the captain said. "What should we do next?"

She thought about it for a moment.

[What else can I do to help Tilly?]

And then she remembered.

"Stella," Luna said, remembering her sister. "My sister is the reincarnation of Elaine Moonchester. She was the one who activated this ancient magic circle to summon Ancient Crades. Moreover, she's also involved with the Plane."

"The Plane?"

"Yes," she said, nodding. "I'm not sure, but I believe a deity is helping her mess with the Plane. Hence, she was able to remember her past life."

Stella wasn't a god, so she wasn't supposed to remember her past life as Elaine Moonchester.

But then, Luna heard that her sister was involved with the Plane. That suddenly made sense to her. After all, it wasn't just Stella who got to remember her past life after getting involved with the Plane.

"Stella, who has Elaine's memories, is dangerous," Luna said worriedly. "I'm not sure where she is at the moment. But can you ask the other captains to look for her in the palace? I have a feeling that she's there."

"Alright, I understand," Noel Sherwood said while putting a communication device. "I'll ask the other captains to find your sister and bring her here."

SOLENN thought leaving the Plane with Saint Forrester would be easy.

However, they were soon faced with another problem.

<"She's here.">

It was Serafina, and the deity that was assigned to guard the Plane was saying that her twin sister was back.

[And her twin sister is one of the deities in charge of the Plane.]

There was just one problem, though.

"Aren't you Stella? Miss Luna's sister?" Solenn asked while raising an eyebrow at Miss Luna's sister. "So, have you been hiding here while we did all the work?"

"What an arrogant little princess."

Oh?

There was only one person in front of Solenn, but she heard two voices talk.

"Miss Luna's sister is possessed, and it looks like this isn't the first time it happened. It was as if her feeble mind and body were meant to be used by other spirits," Saint Forrester said, clicking his tongue. "Child, you have little to no faith in gods, so your resistance against evil spirits is weak. I know that not all gods are worthy of your trust. But putting your faith in a deity will help you gain a stronger mind…"

Argh.

Solenn almost rolled her eyes when the saint suddenly began his sermon.

[He's a saint through and through, indeed.]

"Shut up."

Uh-oh.

Stella's voice when she asked the saint to shut up was cold and very taunting.

[Like she's used to ordering people around.]

Right, Stella was also…

"I'm confused about who you are right now," Solenn said, sighing. "You are Miss Luna's sister, but you are also Elaine Moonchester. Worse, you even let other spirits borrow your body. Why don't you just pick one personality?"

"That's exactly why I'm here," Stella said, smiling in a creepy manner. Yes, this woman looked absolutely insane. "The Plane is the perfect place to complete my present for my dear brother Aku Moonchester."

TILLY was relieved to see that her Keepers were all safe.

Wong.

Kelsi.

Roarke Sinclair.

Jameson Crawford.

Maddox and Braxton Atkinson.

Each one of the six Keepers was "sleeping" inside a transparent tube-like chamber that absorbed their flame.

There was an emergency sign blinking above each tube.

"As expected, they're about to reach their limit," Wixx said, clicking his tongue. "The floating island will immediately crash once the fire is extinguished."

And they couldn't let that happen.

"Only the Fire Mages descended. The citizens of the floating island are still hidden here," Tilly said worriedly, then she turned to her brother. "Can you supply the heart of the island with your flame, Brother? I'll awaken the Keepers."

Wixx nodded. "Alright. I'll leave them to you."

And then her brother left the room where they found the Keepers.

"Honey, babies, please wait a moment," Tilly said as she stepped forward. "And please make a barrier to protect yourselves."

"I got it, honey," Kiho said. "I'll keep our children safe."

"Thank you."

After Tilly was assured that Kiho would protect their babies, she raised her hands and filled each tube with her Mana.

Her Mana was in the form of a red flame.

After all, that was the thing that her Keepers needed to wake up.

[In short, they just need to be recharged after they depleted their energies.]

Soon, the tubes broke one by one.

Hence, the Keepers also began to wake up one at a time.

"Good morning," Tilly said, greeting her Keepers who looked surprised upon seeing her. "I know that you just woke up, but I need you to work for me immediately."

She didn't have to repeat herself.

And the Keepers didn't question her.

Wong, Kelsi, Roarke, Jameson, Maddox, and Braxton just knelt and bowed in front of her without saying a word even though they looked confused when they just woke up.

[They're still as loyal as ever.]

"We're going to descend," Tilly said firmly. "Help me protect the island so that it wouldn't crash."

The Keepers responded at the same time. "As you command, Supreme."
