This was a big square in the middle of the Campus and you could see all the buildings and pathways a bit further away from there.
It was a stone pathway and looked extremely good as it blended finely with the surrounding environment.
The children were laughing and frolicking about while they got back to their stalls and others small shops.
They had opened shops up to their desires like someone opened a noodle stall, shooting game, candy apples etc.
there was just so much variety of shops there and you could through this straight path to see and taste everything there.
Some children were coming and going in between with smiles and laughter along with their friends and they were trying everything there.
It was a very harmonious and joyful atmosphere. All the things here were free since they were provided by the campus to students.
King had also come here with the Girls but he didn't join in yet. He was just looking at all this from far away with a smile.
"This is really peaceful". Elaine said while looking at the crowd of happy children.
"I wanted it to be like this". King nodded his head with a smile. He was happy at his accomplishment.
They had recently accepter non Mutant children here for study as well and they enjoyed the same benefits if they want to.
The campus was much more lively because of this reason and every child could be seen smiling and enjoying the festival.
"They are here". King looked towards the entrance of the Campus and started walking over there. He perceived the entry of the other two institutes coming over.
"Hey guys". King opened the door with the motion of his hand and greeted Charles and Erik getting off their vehicles.
"Hey King". Charles replied back with a smile but Erik just nodded his head.
"Don't always be like this in front of Charles. You don't look like a tough dude but like a twat". King looked at Erik and said mercilessly.
Erik didn't answer but his eyes were twitching after he heard King's words and the rest of children behind him were about to burst into laughter.
"Alright, we can talk later. Let the others go in and enjoy themselves first with students from other campuses." King motioned and Charles along with Erik let the children go and do what they want.
They won't be able to do anything dangerous here since everything is under King's control. So no danger here at all.
"Let's go to my office. We need to talk". King turned around and led the two towards the administrative building and into his office.
All of them sat down on the sofa and looked around at the cosy atmosphere in the office. It was quite natural and comfortable.
It was a simple decoration with a set of couches. A study table with a leather chair and a bookshelf on the side. It was just the right amount of stuff to make it simple and authentic.
"What do you want to talk about?" Erik asked while facing King.
They were all sitting on the sofa and facing each other. The girls didn't join them and just went about doing stuff in the festival.
"Your family was saved by me." King said lightly but it was a statement like a bomb went off in the room and a deafening silence ensued right after.
"What?!" Erik stood up from the couch in astonishment when he heard King's words.
"Whose family?" Charles was puzzled and subconsciously asked but he immediately knew whose it was.
"What happened to them?" Erik asked while completely disregarding Charles on the side.
"Soldiers were preparing to march on them with weapons. I got the wind of it and took them away from there before it could happen". King answered back and Erik also sat down.
He sighed in relief when he heard that his family was safe and wasn't killed off by the soldiers. He felt really thankful to King for this.
"Thank you". Erik lowered his proud head and thanked King sincerely for his help. His family was safe and it was all King's credit.
"My friend, you had a family and never told me". Charles turned to look at Erik and asked with a smile.
"I just never got the time". Erik gave a perfunctory answer and didn't answer perfectly back.
Erik and Charles have had a feus. Their feud has not been resolved yet and Erik has no interest in debating again with Charles about things.
"Alright stop sulking and let's get onto the main thing". King stopped their further talk about their Bromance and spoke up.
"What is it?" Charles also turned serious and asked.
"A very powerful mutant has awakened and he is making his own army". King said and both of them paid great attention.
"How powerful is he?" Erik clenched his fist in confidence and asked.
"He is powerful enough to mop the floor with you". King pointed at Erik and commented mockingly. He just loves to hit people.
"Do you really have to do this?" Erik was deflated from King's words and asked while shaking his head.
"It's a habit". King acted innocent and answered. Charles just shook his head at the two's antics but didn't interrupt.
"So, we need to prepare for their arrival. They could be here at anytime this week". King said and the two nodded their heads solemnly.
"I will handle that mutant. He is an ancient guy named En Sabah Nur. He used to rule Egypt and he has four horsemen of Apocalypse. Your task is to handle those four". King said and looked at the two in front of him.
"I can handle one/ I can too". Both of them answered confidently. They had enough means to attack one horseman.
"I have finished my machine as well". Charles had a wide smile when he mentioned the machine. He has just completed Cerebro.
Now, it is the best time to test that machine out and make full use of it. He can check out the limitations and power of the machine.
"Alright, I will inform you of his arrival". King nodded and got up from the couch.
