Akane and Aito stared at Jun with confused eyes. Smiling, he continued his explanation.
"Don't judge a book by its cover... Both of you are familiar with the Akimichi clan, right? Do you know how they can expand their bodies?"
"Through chakra...?"
Hearing their answer, Jun nodded his head.
"Yes, you're partly correct... The Akimichi don't have a bloodline limit like the Sharingan, yet their technique is unique to them. How is that possible?"
"..."
"It's called Hiden. Some clans possess techniques that are only used by them... Like the previously mentioned Akimichi. In most cases, these clans are extremely secretive about them and will pass the techniques down through word of mouth only."
"A few Hiden techniques require a special ability or lineage... And are usually the pride and fame of the clan that possesses them."
"Ohhh… I see… But what does this have to do with our new jutsu?"
Aito was confused but understood most of it... On the other hand, Akane was paying very close attention to everything Jun said, looking for clues.
"Well, that's a good question. Instead of directly answering it, I'll demonstrate."
Saying this, Jun walked back to the lake, stopping in front of the water.
"You're both familiar with the great fireball technique, right?"
"Yeah!"
"Good. Well, if I were to use it normally…"
Jun started forming hand-seals with one hand[1], before breathing out his clan's signature fireball. Of course, it had a perfect shape, rotating as it evaporated the surface water of the lake.
"Whaaaa…"
Seeing Jun's fireball, both of them stared in awe. It looked much stronger than theirs... No wonder Jun was a Genin.
"And now, with the big-lungs technique…"
Although it was his first time using it in this life, Jun was pretty confident. After all, it was merely a C-rank jutsu.
This time, he performed three more hand seals, namely 'rat', 'Monkey', and 'Dragon'. He also didn't change the amount of fire-chakra he kneaded.
Inhaling a bunch of air, Jun's chest abnormally expanded, making it look like he had a balloon for a chest.
"Gokakyu no jutsu!" (Great Fireball Technique!)
Suddenly, the fireball that Jun produced was two times as big as the previous one and burned much more vividly. It was so hot that it made a small dent in the lake, as the water evaporated.
"...!"
"How…?"
Looking back, he smiled at both of their scared expressions. Walking back, Jun explained what happened.
"Apart from the common elements, namely fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning, there are another two nature transformations... They're called Yin and Yang."
"I know about that! Genjutsu is based on Yin energy!"
Nodding at Akane's words, Jun continued.
"Yin Release uses spiritual energy to control imagination, creating form out of nothingness… That is the base of all Genjutsu. As for Yang release, it uses physical energy to control vitality, granting life to forms that have none."
"I don't think I understand…"
Aito scratched his head. At this point, he couldn't understand what Jun was saying. Akane was also visibly struggling to comprehend.
"Simply, it was thanks to the Yang release that my fireball was so big. By using it, I was able to temporarily increase my lung capacity, allowing me to give more fuel to the fire. That, coupled with a large chakra pool, can have devastating effects."
"Ohhh…! I think I get it now!"
Finally, they were both starting to understand. Smiling, Jun taught them how it was done. Although Yang-release wasn't very common and kept a secret, Jun knew everything about it.
That was one of the many advantages of having reincarnated.
"First of all, you need to mold Yang-chakra. To do that you need these hand-seals…"
