Ghost of the Uchiha

Change

Change

The next morning, significant changes happened in the core of the Hyuga clan. Freed from their shackles, the members of the branch family revolted against the main house and removed them from power.

Threatened with death, the clan head was forced to hand all of the main house's secret techniques to Yuji, who was in charge of fairly distributing them amongst trustworthy ninja from their clan.

Although they refused, Nozomi's family was forced to take the clan-head position by the rest. No longer would there be a main house... From this day on, their clan would operate like any other.

This caused waves to spread around the entire village. News of this event spread like wildfire, and although no one believed it, they had to accept it after seeing it for themselves. Most importantly, Jun's involvement in the matter was kept under wraps.

Although the Hokage was surprised, he was quick to embrace the change of situation, He too had never fancied the Hyuga's way of doing things, so it made him happy to see the overall conditions of the clansmen improve. Slowly, his village seemed to move forward.

Surprisingly, no party objected to this new development. Even Danzo refused to pitch in, choosing to stay away from the whole thing--Which wasn't his usual way of working. In this manner, the Hyuga was revolutionized overnight, and the events that happened on that day would be told in history books.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting on his veranda, Danzo fell in deep thought.

'First, the Uchiha... Now, the Hyuga. What on earth is happening?' Lately, every time he woke up, he would find out that something had gone entirely out of his expectations. Danzo felt like he was slowly losing his grip on the village, and this sensation ate at him from the inside.

He couldn't sleep properly, fearing that the next day, something else would go out of control. To someone like him, this feeling of not knowing anything was like the deadliest of poisons. Every day, he felt his mind being tortured by it, threatening to drive him to the border of insanity.

Because of this, he refused to partake in any discussions about the recent happenings in the village, choosing to hole up and work on the foundation instead. At least, he felt more comfortable this way, even if only for a little while.

Clenching his fists, he recalled Jun's figure, and how he came back with Kakuzu's body. This fact still completely eluded his understanding. How could an Uchiha brat be so powerful?

He couldn't help but recall the Chunin exams. The image of Madara's figure overlapping Jun's was still vivid in his mind, causing him even more discomfort.

'I have to do something... This is all getting out of hand!'

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jun strolled through the village, enjoying the scenery with Aito. They'd offered to buy groceries since Aito missed the feeling of doing it himself.

After all, staying in Masaki's residence all the time was incredibly boring and Jun was now loaded.

Inside an Uchiha-run store, Jun and Aito were paying for the groceries at the counter.

"Thank you for your purchase!" Rubbing his hands together, the shopkeeper smiled and took the money from Aito's hand. "Please come back!"

"Sure!" Smiling, Aito waived the woman goodbye and passed under the large cloths covering the entrance with a large bag of food in his hands. As he made his way out, Aito tripped on a rock and was about to fall.

"Wah-" Just before everything fell, Jun appeared next to him and stopped his fall, catching the items that fell. Helping his brother up, he ruffled his hair with a smile. "Don't carry it all yourself. You won't see what's in front of you!"

"Mm..." Embarrassed, Aito gave Jun half of the stuff and started walking back in the direction of the house. Seeing him, Jun smiled.

He missed these peaceful moments. Thinking of Izuna and his dead brothers, he couldn't help but feel a tinge of sorrow.

'How nice would it be if you were here with me...'
