The Legend of the Kyubi

". . ." - Sasori was concentrating on the Extraction Jutsu, which was now lasting 2 minutes before breaking down completely.     

"This shit is lasting too long!" - Deidara exclaimed angrily - "And the worst thing is, we have nothing to do but listen to this bitch scream!"     

Sasori was about to say something else when he felt someone coming into the cave where they were at full speed - "We have some unwanted company"     

"At least we can have some fun" - smiled Deidara but he frowned when he saw his partner's expression - "Is something wrong?"     

"My puppets are being destroyed one after another..." - said Sasori as he looked at his partner - "Whoever he is, he's strong..."     

"What shall we do?" - asked the Mad Bomber of Iwa.     

"One of us has to go and stop him before he shows up at this place and interrupts us... remember that this Jutsu is not yet..." - said Sasori, only to be surprised to see how the Jutsu had been destroyed - "Perfect, now we just need a little more time"     

"Okay, I'm going to go have fun with that son of a bitch" - said Deidara as he disappeared from the scene.     

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" - Sasori murmured with a scowl as he made hand stamps to speed up the process, not noticing that a part of the Bijuu chakra was being isolated.

"It's this way..." - murmured Kurama as he sniffed around - "I feel the aroma of Gaara in this place, also of a man and a thing that is not human because its aroma is more like a mixture of human flesh, metal, and clay, like Kankuro's puppets..."     

"Kakaka!" - the sound of hundreds of barely articulated bodies resounded in the middle of the cave as countless puppets emerged from the walls - "Kakaka!"     

". . ." - Kurama frowned as he concentrated energy in his hand and created a Jigoku Rasengan to incinerate everything in his path - "That confirms I'm in the right place... I guess I'll speed things up a bit"     

Kurama quickly released his gravity seal and ran at full speed toward his target, only to take a few steps backward when he smelled a clay smell combined with gunpowder.     

Bang!     

The sound of an explosion echoed through the place as a group of puppets lay limp on the ground.     

"Not bad," said Deidara as he appeared in front of the redhead - "Oh? but isn't that the Kyubi no Yoko?"     

"Deidara... the Mad Bomber of Iwa..." - said Kurama as he looked at the man in front of him - "I expected a little more courtesy from you, at last, to introduce yourself before attacking"     

"Don't compare me to the assholes you've faced before," said Deidara with disdain. "Only a rookie would present himself against an enemy when he can cause a fatal blow with a surprise attack"     

"Right," nodded the redhead.     

"ARGH!" - exclaimed Deidara in pain as he felt a kunai dig into his back - "What?!"     

"It's either that... or he' s creating an opening for an ambush" - replied Kurama with a smile as he disappeared into a smokescreen.     

"Kage Bunshin?! When?!" - exclaimed the blond man from Iwa in surprise.     

"When you blinked," replied Kurama as he shrugged. "It is one of the advantages of perfect chakra control and a unique skill"     

". . ." - Deidara gritted his teeth furiously as he watched his enemy closely.     

"¡C4!" - exclaimed the Iwa Nukenin as he began to create countless bombs and threw them at the ginger - "Katsu!"     

Bang! Bang! Bang!     

The explosions didn't take long to create a huge smokescreen. The cave trembled at the constant explosions but for Deidara's luck, it was still standing.     

"I'm sure that caused a lot of damage" - said Deidara as he watched the smoke disappear, showing a huge hole, but to his surprise, there was no sign that Kurama was in the place - "Was he?"     

"Bingo~!" - exclaimed Kurama who was behind him - "Rasengan!"     

"Shit!" - Deidara quickly used the Kawarimi no Jutsu to shift an all-powerful trunk while releasing a sigh of relief, only to feel Kurama's presence behind him - "How?!"     

"Did you think the kunai I buried in your back was a normal one?" - Kurama asked disdainfully - "Let me remind you about the jutsu that Minato used against Iwa"     

"Hiraishin!" - Deidara exclaimed in terror as he felt Kurama's Rasengan hit his body hard - "ARGH!"

Sasori clenched his teeth in terror as he felt Deidara's chakra diminish at great speed while a huge amount of messages from his puppets came to his mind through the connection he had created with them - "Uzumaki Kurama... the Kyubi no Yoko..."     

Sasori could not believe that the easy mission had moved up so many points in rank because he never thought Kurama would return to Konoha and discover Gaara's situation.     

Akatsuki had been gathering information on the activities of the redhead while traveling through the Elemental Nations, so they were certain he would not make a move, but now Sasori realized that they were wrong. Kurama not only appeared in Suna, but he also can sense when a Jinchuriki is in danger - "But how?!"     

Sasori did not understand why Kurama had discovered the danger Gaara was going through until he remembered one small detail - "The Seal!"     

"That's right..." - said a cold voice in the vicinity.     

"Come out, Uzumaki Kurama, I know you're close!" - Scorpion exclaimed coldly as he looked around, only to notice a shadow begin to take human form.     

"Akasuna no Sasori..." - Kurama said as he watched the man in front of him.     

"If you are here, it means Deidara must be dead..." - Sasori said seriously as he frowned. He could still sense that there was life in his teammate.     

"A Moku Bunshin is having a little conversation with him while we talk," Kurama replied seriously as he looked at the Jubi's husk, " You don't know who you are messing with..."     

"We know..." - said Scorpion seriously - "You are just an abomination"     

"I am not talking about me," answered Kurama with disdain, "though I do not think you have the right to call me an abomination when each of you is much stranger than the last"     

Akatsuki was a gathering of freaks for the most part, and there was no argument to refute those words.     

* * * * *     

"B-Bastard..." - mumbled Deidara as he lay on the floor with his whole body destroyed. He had lost both his arms during Kurama's attack and was now 'defenseless'.     

"Tell me Deidara... how many people have you killed?" - Kurama asked curiously.     

"I've lost count..." - replied the Mad Bomber of Iwa - "But please tell me you won't try to make me regret my actions now that I am going to die... I don't think you have the moral right to try to change me when you are the same as me"     

"Right... that's why I wasn't trying to change you or make you think," replied the ginger as he nodded. "I was just curious to know the number, killer to a killer.     

"Like I said... I lost count of how many worms I've turned into art" - answered Deidara with exhaustion - "But... I can say one thing..."     

" What is it? Enlighten me" - said Kurama with curiosity.     

"THAT YOU WILL BE ONE OF THOSE BASTARDS! KATSU!" - exclaimed Deidara as a mouth opened on his chest and a large amount of explosive clay began to flow from it - "IF I DIE, YOU WILL COME WITH ME!"     

"There's a little problem with your words" - said Kurama as he appeared over the blonde and kicked the mouth of Deidara's chest, who could only scream in pain - "First, I'm just a clone, second, you still haven't answered the biggest question I have..."     

"Fuck you..." - Deidara murmured in pain - " I won't...answer you..."     

"That's where you're wrong my friend," said Kurama as he pressed the blond man's forehead.     

"What did you do to me?!" - exclaimed Deidara in terror as he felt as if he were being slowly crushed as if he were being trampled by thousands of people as if his arms were being dismembered over and over again - "Ah!"     

"I only increased the power of your receptors" - answered Kurama while smiling at him - "Although to your relief, soon you will not feel anything because your body will start to turn into rock thanks to the fact that my chakra contains a dangerous dose of Natural Energy... a pity really because I would have liked to talk a little more"     

"ARGH!" - Deidara couldn't resist the massive, constant pain he was feeling, so he could only do one thing - "Kill me! Kill me please!"     

Begging for mercy... a pity that the person in front of him, wouldn't give it to him so easily.     

"You still don't answer my question" - said Kurama calmly.     

"Tell me the question! Tell me the damn question and end my pain!" - roared Deidara.     

"Very well," the redheaded man nodded, "tell me Deidara... How does it feel dying? How does it feel to be at the end of the road and know that your destiny is not in your hands? How does it feel to know that every second that passes you are closer and closer to your so premature end?"     

Deidara tried to answer but before he could say anything, the pain started to increase.     

"Oh... I forget..." - said Kurama with a smile - "When you lie, your receptors tighten up so the pain increases considerably... that's why I want you not to be a bad boy~"
