The Legend of the Kyubi

I still don't know why I don't ask for a change of team...

I still don't know why I don't ask for a change of team...

" By the way... why were you following me?" - asked the redhead.

"Now you're asking?!" - shouted Ino angrily but soon calmed down, after all, it had been their fault that everything ended up like this.

"What Ino-chan meant was that we were following you to find out if you wanted to come and train with us" - said Hinata as she tried to calm her friend.

"I'm sorry but I'm in the critical part of my training" - denied the young Uzumaki - "But if it makes you feel better, I can go with you whenever you want after the Chunin exams are over"

" Fine..." - murmured the two Genins with regret.

"Sorry girls" - said Kurama again.

"Don't worry" - sighed Ino as Hinata nodded - "I guess we'll leave for the time being"

Kurama only shook his head when he saw his two companions leave with their heads down but was silent when he noticed someone was still by his side - "Shouldn't you have gone with them?"

"Jiiiii~ ( Stare )" - Hanabi was only silent.

". . ." - Kurama gave the little girl a look that she was still looking at him silently and honestly it was awkward.

"Jiiiiiii~ ( Stare )" - Hanabi just followed him with a stare.

"Ok, you win" - sighed the redhead - "You can join me..."

"Yes!" - exclaimed young Hyuga with a smile as she followed the boy.

"Do you think it went well?" - asked Ino as she looked at her friend.

"Not many people can resist Hanabi-chan's gaze" - answered Hinata with a smile - "Now we just have to wait for Hanabi-chan to give us the information we want"

"You're forgetting something" - Ino snorted with annoyance - "We still have to find Lee-san..."

"Right..." - Hinata muttered as her Byakugan was activated.

A black-haired young man with a bowl hairstyle, dressed entirely in a green spandex suit felt a chill run through his body.

"Are you okay, Lee?" - asked a man who appeared to be a larger version of the boy.

"I'm sorry, Gai Sensei..." - Lee replied with fear - "For some reason, I feel that something terrible will happen to me in the Chunin Exams"

"Don't worry, young Lee" - said the Gai with a smile - "it's just the excitement that you'll soon find your predestined rival! Just keep making your youthful flames burn brightly!"

"Gai Sensei! - Rock Lee jumped in front of Gai and hugged him.

"Lee!" - shouted Gai with a fatherly look.

"Gai Sensei!" - shouted Lee with a new gleam in his eye.

The two men dressed in green created a glowing atmosphere around them.

"You can stop now!" - shouted a young woman with brown hair tied in two bows as she looked at the duo - "I swear to you that if Neji-kun wasn't normal, this team would be hell!"

"That's fate... you should accept it Tenten..." - said a young Hyuga who was nearby - "Remember that everything is predestined..."

"Forget what I said..." - said Tenten with a defeated expression - "I still don't know why I don't ask for a change of team"

Kurama had returned to his regular training place with Hanabi following him quietly. The little Hyuga had a curious look on her face as they walked through the area because it looked nothing like the Forest of Death her father had been telling her to stay away from.

"You can watch me train but do not interrupt me because the technique I am about to practice is very dangerous," Kurama said seriously.

"Take it easy, Kurama-san. I promise I won't bother you" - said Hanabi as she sat on a rock and stared at him silently - "Jiiiiii~( stare )"

"Okay, this is weird..." - muttered the boy as he began to use his new technique.

"!" - Hanabi was surprised to see how he was absorbing Chakra but was not heading to his Tenketsu, but disappearing into his body - "Strange..."

"That's a technique I developed" - said Kurama calmly - "I call it Elemental Tempering and it consists of using a certain element's chakra to strengthen the body"

"The technique consists of using the chakra in the environment to improve the cells of the body" - continued the redhead - "The problem is that a normal person can only absorb one element, at most two because if he absorbs more than the recommended amount, he could create an imbalance in his body and end up breaking his Tenketsu most painfully way"

". . ." - Hanabi only trembled with fear.

"But my technique has more good points than bad because each element improves the body differently" - continued Kurama while explaining to the girl - "For example..."

1- Katon: Burns the body's impurities, strengthens the muscles and compacts them so that they have greater explosive power.

2- Suiton: Increases the capacity of regeneration and chakra circulation, also reduces the likelihood of disease by strengthening the internal organs.

3- Raiton: Increases flexibility and increases the capacity of the nervous system, improving precision, reflexes, and the senses.

4- Doton: Increases the strength and endurance of the body to a great extent but makes it more rigid.

5- Futon: Lightens the body weight and increases the user's speed.

6- Mokuton: Mixes the properties of the Suiton and Doton, and amplifies them thanks to the Yoton (Yang Element).

"It's awesome!" - exclaimed the little Hyuga.

"And that's not all" - smiled the red-haired young man proudly - "The more you temper your body with that element, the less damage you will receive when someone attacks you with that element"

"Can you teach me?" - asked Hanabi with a gleam in her big eyes.

"I'm sorry, not at the moment" - denied the young redhead - "I still don't know if it's completely safe"

"Ok..." - Hanabi muttered with regret.

"If it makes you feel better, I will teach you when it is completed" - said Kurama while the younger Hyuga nodded excitedly - "It is a promise"

"And an Uzumaki always keeps its promise" - added the young redheaded man as he stroked little Hyuga's hair.

"I think it's time for me to leave" - said Hanabi as he stood up from his stone - "Good luck with your training, Kurama-san"

"Thank you, Hanabi-chan" - the redheaded young man nodded as he watched the young Hyuga retreat. He only shook his head when he saw the young woman gone - "I only hope that Hinata-chan or Ino-chan won't come to ask me to accompany them tomorrow now that Hanabi will tell them where I train..."

Time kept moving and a week had passed. There were only three days left for the Chunin Exams to begin and all the teams were excited, all but the Asuma team that had learned of the death of their Sensei. Hiruzen had reported that he had been killed by a spy from an enemy village but the Clan Heads knew about it.

Shikamaru knew that there was more to this and had decided to ask his father but after talking to him, he realized that things were much more dangerous than they thought because his father said "problematic" three times in a row.

Shikaku only told him not to think about it anymore because Asuma was the one who had asked for it. Shikamaru decided to leave it at that because although Asuma had been his sensei, he had not been the best either. They had been trained only in the art of teamwork and chakra management.

Shikamaru was about to leave his father's study when he informed him that they would be receiving their new Jonin sensei tomorrow.

The next day, Team 10 was greeted by the blank stare of Yamato.

". . ." - the 4 remained silent as they watched each other, only to nod in acceptance. The team had become even stranger but ironically it was much more harmonious than it was with Asuma.

The other thing that happened was that the teams from the different villages began arriving in Konoha with their sensei, creating minor frictions with the inhabitants but nothing that could not be fixed with an apology.

Kurama was now leaving the house to go to the forest of death for training, after having made a mess of Kushina. She had enjoyed it so much that her moaning had pierced the privacy seal that she had so painstakingly enhanced.

His relationship with Kurenai had grown during this time as well. The two had had two other dates during this time and she was no longer afraid of him.

He, too, had kept his promise and had gone out with Mikoto many more times, to the delight of the matriarch Uchiha who finally felt she had a real relationship.

Today should have been a normal day but when he arrived at his training place, he saw how the girls of his team plus Hanabi were waiting for him with a half-smile.

"Can I help you?" - asked the young redhead.

"You have a beautiful training place, Kuro-kun" - said Ino as she looked around - "It doesn't look like the forest of death we are told to stay away from"

"That's what I thought" - Hanabi nodded.

"Straight to the point, please" - sighed the redhead.

"Simple, we want a date!" - exclaimed Ino as Hinata only blushed. Even though they had already dated once, she was still embarrassed by the idea of going on a date with her beloved redhead.

"I'm going too!" - exclaimed Hanabi with a big smile.

"I'm at an important moment in my training" - sighed the redhead. He felt that after having absorbed so much Raiton chakra, his body had finally adapted to it and he could use it as if it were a normal affinity. This was important because Kurama had all the basic affinities except Raiton.

"But there are only 3 days left for the exams~!" - groaned the blonde Genin in annoyance.

"I know" - the redheaded boy nodded - "That's why I have to try twice, if not three times as hard"

"Tch" - Ino just clicked her tongue but still nodded.

"Don't you think you should take a break?" - Hinata asked with concern. "Training too much is not good for your body"

". . ." - Kurama stared at them silently as he sighed in defeat. The girls smiled when they saw that he had given up but calmed down when they heard the boy's words - " Fine. . . we will go on a date but it will be on Sunday..."

"It's better than nothing" - said Ino as she nodded.

"It's more than enough time for us to prepare" - said Hinata with emotion.

"They've said everything" - sighed Hanabi - "And will I be able to go?"

"I have no problem with that" - the young redheaded young man nodded.

"Yes!" - exclaimed Hanabi with emotion. Finally, she could leave the house for a little adventure.

"I think we've already spent too much of your time, we'd better leave" - said Ino as she held the hand of Hinata who still had a smile on her face from the excitement. The blonde Genin could only take one look at the little sister and ask - "Is this normal? I mean, I've seen Hinata-chan happy but this has never happened before"

"She has been like this since she went to her date with Kurama-san" - answered Hanabi simply.

"And why wasn't I told about that?!" - exclaimed Ino with a frown when she found out that her friend and rival had overtaken her.

"Did I forget?" - said Hanabi with an innocent look. She hadn't talked about it because she wanted to give her sister a head start. She knew that if Ino attacked, Hinata would be left behind because of her shyness.

"I'm going to let it go this time because it was Hinata's first date but next time I hope you' ll let me know" - snorted the blonde Genin as she took her friend - "But that doesn't mean that I won't get the date information out of Hinata-chan"

"I have no problem with that" - said Hanabi as he shrugged.

That said, the girls left, leaving Kurama all alone.

"I'd better keep training..." - muttered the boy as he shook his head. He had to admit that he was a bit tense lately because outside of his nightly activities and mealtime, he was in training all day so Hinata's words were not wrong.
