The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 91: More Dangerous than You Think

Cap 91: More Dangerous than You Think

"It is good to see that you are well, Kurama" - said Teuchi as he walked to the redhead's table and handed him the food, only to sit in front of him with a smile.

"Hello, Teuchi Osan," Kurama nodded. "Do you need anything?"

"Can't I come to see one of my favorite customers?" - the old cook asked.

"Normally that would not be wrong but I can sense that you have something on your mind..." - replied Kurama as he began to devour the food the old man had brought - "You can consider it a talent I have"

"Well... I came to ask you for some advice..." - sighed the old cook.

"Is this a new trend?" - asked Kurama with a scowl. First, it had been the boys and the Jonin sensei during the third exam break, and now Teuchi was coming, "Anyway, let's get this over with... what do you want to know?"

"You see... there's a beautiful woman I want to ask out but I don't know how..." - said Teuchi with a slight blush - "She's nice..."

"Let me guess, Kizara-san the provider?" - asked Kurama as he raised an eyebrow.

"!" - Teuchi just blushed but slowly nodded - "How did you know?"

"I'd have to be blind not to notice," Kurama said as he shook his head. He had seen how the two of them acted together so it was obvious they were interested in each other.

"What can I do?" - asked the cook with concern. He hadn't felt this way since he was with his wife.

"I'll be honest with you... you just have to ask her" - said Kurama calmly - "I've seen how she looks at you, so I can tell she's interested in you too"

"You think so?" - asked the owner of Ichiraku.

"As I said, only a blind man would not notice," the redheaded man nodded. "If you like, I can ask Choji to help me make a reservation at a good restaurant"

"I don't know... the business is stable and the income is good, but I still feel those places are very expensive..." - sighed Teuchi.

"Don't worry, they give a discount when I recommend the place" - answered Kurama as he shrugged - "You don't know how many times I've been asked for dating tips"

". . ." - Teuchi just gave her a surprised look - "Okay?"

"Anyway, I can help you some more" - said Kurama while giving him a gold card - "This is a VIP card, with it you'll get an even bigger discount"

"Will it be okay if I take your card?" - asked the cook but relaxed when he saw the redhead shaking his head - "Thank you"

"You don't have to give it," nodded the young Uzumaki.

"Now that I have the appointment ready... how about you help me out with well... you know?" - asked the old cook.

"I'm sorry... I can't help you with that" - answered the redhead with neutrality.

"Oh, come on!" - exclaimed Teuchi - "You're the wisest one on this subject!"

"I'm sorry, there's no way I can help anyone on that" - denied the redhead.

Teuchi only sighed with regret.

"I can give you my blessing if you will help..." - Kurama muttered when he saw the old cook's downcast expression.

"Thank you!" - Teuchi exclaimed excitedly.

" I bless you?" - Kurama only tilted his head in confusion as he placed his hand on the cook's shoulder.

"Thank you! I will try my luck at once!" - Teuchi exclaimed as he ran from the restaurant.

"Okay, that was strange..." - the redheaded man denied as he continued to devour the food.

After eating, Kurama left Ichiraku, only to see Teuchi return with a smile on his face. It seems the date was on, all thanks to Sekkusu Kami-sama.

Time had passed, and two weeks had passed since the first half of the third Chunin test had ended.

All the participants were training with everything they had, with the clear exception of one group, the Suna shinobis.

Kankuro frowned as he noticed how things were changing for the worse.

Gaara was becoming more and more erratic and his 'second personality' was becoming more and more active.

Temari was locked in her room most of the time, and it seemed that her interest in the redhead was greater than she thought, although no one could blame her, he had acted very differently from all the men she had known, not to mention that she was already mildly attracted to his appearance.

The only one who looked as if nothing had happened was Baki, though one could tell how upset he was that every time he went out, he saw more of Konoha's shinobi patrolling the streets.

"Kankuro... today I will meet our ally..." - said Baki as he looked at his Genin - "I hope you will control your brothers until I return"

"Hai..." - Kankuro only nodded as he looked down to hide his frown. He hated the current situation because not only were his brothers getting worse, but this feeling inside him was getting worse. It was obvious that things were becoming increasingly strange for Suna because the reports he had received showed that at least eighty percent of the troops in the desert village was moving toward Konoha - "Baki sensei... why are almost all of our shinobis coming to this place?"

"I don't know... but these are Rasa-sama's orders" - answered Baki calmly - "And for information, I recommend you not to talk about this because we don't know who could be listening"

". . ." - Kankuro was only silent as he frowned even more. He could sense that something strange was going on because his father's actions were far more stupid than usual. It was as if he was taking Oto's side and didn't care what situation Suna would be in.

"Remember, Kankuro..." - said Baki before leaving the room - "We are shinobis of Suna. We have to live, die and bleed for Suna"

"Hai" - replied the Prince of Suna although his expression did not change in the slightest. He would die and bleed for Suna, but not because of some stupid decisions.

"Just keep it in mind, Kankuro," Baki said as he withdrew.

Kankuro was silent as he walked towards his brothers' quarters.

"Temari..." - said the boy as he knocked on his sister's door, but after a few seconds without receiving an answer, he decided to go to his younger brother - "Gaara..."

"What do you want, you bastard?!" - exclaimed a dark voice from inside his brother's room - "Do you want to die?!"

"Calm down, Kaasan... he's not our target..." - said Gaara neutrally.

"Tch! I'm bored!" - exclaimed the dark voice - "Ore-sama wants blood!"

"We'll soon have it, Kaasan..." - Gaara murmured - "We'll soon have it..."

". . ." - Kankuro only sighed with regret as he shook his head. He had to do something fast.

"Something will happen today..." - said Kurama as he looked up at the now cloudy sky with a scowl. Like Bijuu, he was firmly attached to disasters and catalysts, for example, Shukaku could create sandstorms with a yawn, Matatabi could create fires with a blink of an eye, Isobu could create Tsunamis with a shake, Son Goku could cause eruptions with a roar, Kokuo could create hurricanes with a run, Saiken could create an acid rain when she released some of her Chakra, Choumei could create tornadoes with just the movement of his wings, Gyuki was capable of creating earthquakes with every step he took and he could practically destroy a mountain with a simple movement of one of his tails, at least that was the case when 'He' was 'Kurama'. Every Bijuu was a powerful natural disaster and that's why they could sense when something was about to happen, whether it was a natural phenomenon or one produced by humans.

"Should we tell the old man?" - Kushina asked seriously.

"I don't think it will do any good," answered Kurama seriously. "First, we don't know what it is, so we would just be panicking about nothing, and secondly, we have no proof other than my feeling"

". . ." - those present were only silent as they watched the redheaded boy shaking his head.

"I still think we should warn Hiruzen-sama," Kurenai said as she looked at the young Uzumaki.

"Ok... I will send a clone to warn him... I just hope it will do some good" - sighed Kurama as he created a Kage Bunshin and sent it off to Hokage mansion.

Time continued to advance and the night came as if nothing had happened.

"I hope no one followed you..." - said a voice from someone hiding in the shadows.

"I'm sure no one discovered me..." - said a second voice - "Although this was difficult knowing that Konoha has been more alert than ever..."

"I find it strange too, though I think this is because they believe Orochimaru-sama is still in Konoha" - said the first voice.

"Isn't he?" - asked the second.

"No, Baki-dono," the first voice denied. "Orochimaru-sama withdrew when he had the chance, after all, there is someone in Konoha with a great sense of smell, and I am not talking about those Inuzuka"

"I knew it, that Jinchuriki is dangerous..." - murmured the man from Suna - "What shall we do with him, Kabuto-dono?"

"Nothing for the moment," replied Orochimaru's right-hand man. "If we approach or do anything to upset him, everything we have been working for will be destroyed, so I recommend you not to try anything against them"

"Ok..." - Baki nodded - "Now... how about we talk about our business?"
