The Legend of the Kyubi

Kurama was smiling coldly as he looked at his younger brother but his expression changed when he felt a familiar presence nearby - "Kushi-chan?! What are you doing there?!"     

"DON'T IGNORE ME!" - roared Shukaku as he hurled himself at the Great Kyubi.     

"I don't have time for this!" - roared the Nine-Tailed Beast as it looked down on its brother. He had planned to play a little with Shukaku so that he could take it down a notch, but now that Kushina was at the place where he had felt not only Orochimaru's presence but also that of two unknown shinobis, he could not waste any more time - "Mokuton: Mokuryu no Jutsu!"     

With a few quick moves, he made a large number of hand seals and summoned a large wooden Dragon that threw itself directly at the Tanuki Monster.     

"MOKUTON?!" - exclaimed Shukaku as his body turned to sand so he could dodge the Kyubi's attack - "HOW CAN YOU USE THAT CURSE ELEMENT?! DON'T YOU REMEMBER ALL THE SUFFERING THAT MOKUTON CAUSED?!"     

"Shukaku... I don't have time for any more games!" - Kurama could only look at his brother coldly - "Mokuton: Jukai Kotan!"     

The arena began to tremble as a large number of trees appeared around the two beasts. Shukaku could feel great discomfort as his surroundings changed so drastically.     

"KURAMA!" - roared Shukaku as he felt a large number of vines begin to head in his direction - "YOU, TRAITOR! FUCKING BASTARD! PIECE OF SHIT!"     

Kurama was about to tell him something, but his expression changed again when he felt a new person appear in the place where Kushina was, a person he knew quite well.     

"KURAMA! LIBERATE ME!" - roared Shukaku as he felt his body being trapped by countless vines.     

"ENOUGH, SHUKAKU!" - roared Kurama coldly - "I've had more than enough of you!"     

He could no longer contain himself, the presence he had felt before was now in front of Kushina and he could not afford to let this continue.     

"I WILL NOT BE SUBDUED!" - roared Shukaku as he concentrated a large amount of Chakra inside him - "FUTON: RENKUDAN!"     

Shukaku did not hold back, he threw a large number of compressed air balls at the vines that imprisoned him.     

"I didn't want to do this... but it's the quickest solution" - murmured Kurama as he began to control his breathing - "Ha!"     

"WHAT IS THIS?!" - exclaimed Shukaku as he trembled with fear. It was as if he were facing a predator, which was impossible because the Bijuu were at the top of the food chain.     

"Kongo Fusa!" - Kurama exclaimed as a large number of chains came off his back.     

"HUH?!" - exclaimed Shukaku in surprise as he felt his energy being drained slowly as the chains encircled his body - "WHAT IS THIS?!     

"Kongo Fusa... the Kekkei Genkai of the Uzumaki Clan" - said Kurama seriously.     

* * * [Flashback] * * *     

Kurama was training in the forest when he noticed Kushina in the vicinity.     

"What's going on, Kushi-chan?" - Kurama asked as he looked in the direction of the woman.     

"It is nothing... I was just coming to see how your training was going" - smiled the beautiful red-haired woman.     

"It's all good... Though I have been having discomfort in my hands and back later," said Kurama with a scowl. " It is as if I feel a great itch"     

"Maybe..." - Kushina muttered as she frowned.     

"Kushi-chan?" - Kurama asked in surprise.     

"It's nothing, Kuro-chan," denied the matriarch Uzumaki. "But are you sure it's itchy?"     

"Yes," nodded the young redhead. "I'm sure I know what's wrong with my body"     

"If so, then I think I know what it is," Kushina nodded as she looked at the young Uzumaki with a smile on her face.     

". . ." - Kurama gave her a confused look.     

"Take a short breath... focus your chakra on your back and hands... and then release all that chakra like a blast." the woman repeated as she gave him a serious look - "When you are ready... Squeeze your buttocks and scream!"     

"Is the latter necessary?" - asked Kurama as he looked at the woman.     

"No, but it's something we all did when we activated our Kekkei Genkai," said Kushina happily.     

"Kekkei Genkai?!" - exclaimed Kurama in surprise - "You say I possess the Kongo Fusa?!"     

"Not necessarily, although it's a pretty high probability" - said Kushina calmly - "If the tests we did on you when we were in the hospital are true, then your blood purity is high enough that it's no surprise that you have our Kekkei Genkai"     

". . ." - Kurama felt this was a fucking irony. He not only possessed the power of a Bijuu, but he had everything he needed to counter his brothers.     

"Kuro-chan?" - Kushina asked in surprise.     

"Okay, remember what I told you" - said Kushina as she took a few steps back.     

Kurama followed each of the beautiful redheaded woman's instructions, only to notice how the itching increased with every second that passed.     

"Well, you just need to concentrate a little more chakra!" - Kushina exclaimed with excitement as she noticed how the red-haired man also possessed his Kekkei Genkai. That meant one thing, that their child would have a great chance of being born with the ability to use the Kongo Fusa because of its great purity of blood.     

"Ha!" - exclaimed the young Uzumaki as a strange yet familiar sensation came over him. It was as if he were releasing his tails, only they were much smaller and weaker. Slowly the discomfort he felt was fading as the feeling of being able to feel other things through his touch.     

"Well done!" - Kushina exclaimed excitedly as she saw blood-red chains emerging from her partner's back - "Although it feels strange that your chains are that color... they are usually of a golden platinum color"     

Kurama looked back at her with an almost unreadable expression. He felt strange about the fact that he had now become an entity that was practically created to restrain and defeat the other Bijuu. He not only now possessed the Mokuton, an element capable of devouring the chakra of the Tailed Beast, but also the Kongo Fusa, chains strong enough to contain the beasts without trouble.     

"Is something wrong, Kuro-chan?" - Kushina asked as she noticed her lover's expression.     

"It is nothing, Kushi-can," sighed Kurama as he shook his head. "I just find it ironic that I possess all these tools so that I can defeat my brothers..."     

". . ." - Kushina did not know what to say to this. She knew that Hashirama had used his Mokuton to catch each of the Bijuu, and then deliver them to the different villages, and she had used her Kongo Fusa to be able to catch Kurama very easily when he was a 100% Bijuu. It was strange how two brother clans had such similar power to contain such great beasts.     

"I'm sorry... I was just rambling..." - sighed the boy as he shook his head - "Anyway, now that I know I have this ability, I guess I'll have to train it to be useful in combat"     

"And that's the part where I come in," smiled Kushina as she released one of her chains and rolled it up with Kurama's. He had to admit that it felt good to do this, it was a bit like the Bijuu greeting each other when they still treated each other as family.     

"Easy, Kuro-chan," Kushina muttered as she stroked the boy's cheek. She could feel some emotions being transmitted through the Chains, so it was easy to understand that he seemed to be remembering the past.     

"I'm sorry... we'd better get straight to the point," sighed the red-haired boy as he shook his head.     

"Okay... but keep this in mind," said Kushina seriously, "I will show no mercy while I train you"     

"I know... I still remember when you helped me train when I was only a child," murmured Kurama as he shook slightly. He could still remember all the suffering Kushina caused him when I was his teacher in Uzushiogakure.     

* * * [End Flashback] * * *     

"Kongo Fusa!" - Kurama exclaimed as his blood-red chains began to tighten on the great Tanuki.     

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!" - roared Shukaku as he tried to get away, but for his bad luck, the chains were restricting his form so he could not become Sand - "LET ME GO!"     

"I told you, Shukaku" - said Kurama as he reduced his size and started making hand seals at great speed.     

Slowly a large number of wooden pillars began to appear around Shukaku as he was dragged to the ground by the redhead's chains.     

"FREE ME NOW!" - roared Shukaku as he tried to throw a ball of compressed air at him, but to his surprise, he could not mold his chakra properly.     

"I am sorry, brother," Kurama muttered as he returned to his human form.     

The earth shook as Shukaku hit the ground squarely.     

The great Tanuki could only gaze at his brother in human form as he roared with all his might. He never thought he would be so easily subdued.     

"It is time for me to finish... because I have something very important to do" - sighed the ginger as he looked at his sand brother seriously. He quickly made a large number of hand seals, then placed his hand on Shukaku's head.     

Slowly, the pillars around the two began to glow as the great Tanuki continued to roar with fury.     

"We'll talk when you calm down... brother..." - said Kurama as his hand glowed a slight green - "Hokage-Shiki Jijun Jutsu - Kakuan Nitten Suishu"     

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" - roared Shukaku as he felt his body slowly shrink. He could see his seal starting to activate again and bring him back inside those damn gates - "I WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS!"     

". . ." - Kurama was only silent when he saw Shukaku disappear completely and now there was a Gaara unconscious. He could feel his emotions conflicting, but it wasn't time for that.     

With a quick movement, he disappeared from the place and ran in the direction where the big 'party' was starting.
