The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 116: Pakura(2)

Cap 116: Pakura(2)

After their meeting, Pakura went to her student Maki to say goodbye and go on her mission, but not before seeing who would be her escort, only to meet someone she sincerely did not want to see - "What are you doing here?"

"Why are you giving me that look, Pakura-chan?" - asked an Anbu with a raccoon mask - "I'll be one of your escorts during your mission"

"I would rather go alone, Tanuki," Pakura replied coolly.

"I am sorry, but orders are orders," snorted Tanuki irritably. He had been pursuing Pakura for years but she was still ignoring all his advances.

Pakura slowly looked around, only to discover that she did not know any of her companions for this mission and that gave her a bad feeling that she quickly ignored."Well, we'll leave as soon as possible, I hope we'll meet at the Suna entrance so we can start the mission in 30 minutes at the latest" - Pakura said seriously - "Is that clear?"

". . ." - but to her irritation, Pakura only received silence - "Is it clear?!"

"Yes, ma'am!" - exclaimed the shinobis, though they could tell he was not happy with the mission, much less than a woman was their leader.

"Relax, guys, Pakura-chan is just a serious person, not to mention that the mission is of utmost importance to Suna, so she has to be tense," Tanuki said in a cheerful tone. "That's why we'd better lighten her load a bit"

"Ok, Tanuki-san" - said the shinobis, not noticing that Pakura frowned.

"I think I deserve at least a thank you," said Tanuki. "How about giving me a chance?"

"I'm sorry Tanuki, but I don't plan on getting into a relationship" - said Pakura calmly - "Not when Suna needs me the most"

"I understand" - said Tanuki, although, under his mask, he had a scowl and a look full of growing anger that Pakura did not notice because she was walking towards the entrance of the village - "Still, I thank you for helping me".

"You're welcome," replied the Anbu as he watched the woman retreat.

The days went by normally and a week had passed.

Pakura and her escorts were in a ship heading towards the coast of Kiri to be able, to begin with, her mission as a diplomat, although at this moment, she had a scowl. She had read the contents of the scroll at least ten times, but each time she glanced at it, she always ended up just as confused - "This scroll has almost no information... it is as if Rasa-sama told me to improvise..."

"Pakura-chan... we are about to reach the island of Kiri" - said Tanuki calmly.

"Thanks for the information, I will leave immediately" - said Suna's lady as she left.

"By the way... what did you think of the tea we gave you?" - asked Tanuki curiously - "It was given to us by a merchant inside the ship"

"It was delicious," replied Shakuton's user. She had used all the methods of testing poisons that she had learned during her whole life to detect some kind of harmful substance inside the tea, but she found nothing so she consumed it with peace of mind.

"That is good to hear," Tanuki nodded as he withdrew, oblivious to the fact that underneath his mask, he had a big smile.

Pakura and the others were walking in silence towards Kiri but the fog and the humidity of the atmosphere were being too much annoying for a group that lived in the middle of the desert.

"I have a bad feeling about all this..." - Pakura murmured as she frowned at the sight of the escort that was supposed to come to pick them up, not appearing anywhere.

"ARGH!" - the cry of one of her shinobis was heard in the distance and without thinking, Pakura ran in their direction - "What's going on?!"

"Ma'am! We've been ambushed!" - said the soldier weakly.

"Don't speak, shinobi! Who was responsible?!" - Pakura said in surprise as he looked around.

"W-Was..." - muttered the fallen shinobi slowly, forcing Pakura to come closer to hear him better - "It was us..."

"!" - Pakura quickly receded as she felt everything was wrong but in the process, she felt her body lose strength - "What the fuck is going on?!"

"I can explain that" - said Tanuki as he took off his mask, showing a man of about 25 with a big smile on his face.

"Tanuki!" - Pakura roared as she quickly put on her guard, only to feel her body getting heavy - "What did you do to me?!"

"Simple... I gave you an experimental poison that has a rather peculiar function" - said Tanuki calmly - "Seal your Tenketsu and relax your muscles after absorbing a large amount of water"

"Why are you doing this?!" - exclaimed the woman angrily. She could not believe how her peers from Suna were betraying her in this way.

"That's why you must be happy that your death will help Suna" - said Tanuki with a big smile - "Although Rasa-sama told us that we could have fun with you before giving you to Kiri and if it makes you feel better, I will tell you that we will kill you so that they can't use you as a breeding machine... a pity, really"

Pakura's anger exploded when she heard this and a great hatred was born inside her. She no longer cared about the consequences or the pain, she began to concentrate all her chakra while feeling her body breaking down little by little.

"!" - Tanuki opened his eyes when he noticed the situation, so he quickly ordered the Sunanin to stop her from concentrating her chakra, but for his bad luck, the hatred Pakura felt, had made her not care at all - "Burn in hell, you bastards, as well as Suna! I won't fall without a fight!"

"Shit!" - Tanuki exclaimed as he watched his companions become mummies through Pakura's flames.

"What is going on?!" - said a shinobi from Kiri.

"You're just in time! She's alive! You can use her any way you want!" - exclaimed Tanuki. He no longer cared about anything, not even that Kiri got a new Kekkei Genkai, he just wanted to get out of this place alive.

"DIE! DIE ALL OF YOU!" - Pakura roared as she felt something inside her break - "I'd rather die, explode into a thousand pieces, than be stained by men like you!"

"Oh, shit!" - exclaimed the shinobi of Kiri while all were consumed by the flames.

"Pakura-chan! Stop!" - Tanuki exclaimed - "You can still come back to Suna with me!"

"DIE!" - roared the woman one last time as the flames entered the Anbu. "ARGH!"

"FEEL THE PLEASURE OF BEING SLOWLY CREMATED!" - shouted Pakura as she watched Tanuki vomit a great deal of blood - "ENJOY THE SENSATION OF FEELING LIKE YOUR MOST IMPORTANT ORGANS, THEY ARE PRIVATE OF ALL LIQUID! Ha-ha!"

"Mercy!" - shouted Tanuki as she screamed in pain - "PLEASE! MERCY!"

"LET MY FLAMES CONSUME YOU!" - Pakura shouted as she vomited blood as she felt her vision begin to distort."P-Please... p-Peace..." - Tanuki said weakly. He was completely dehydrated but still alive for his bad luck because he could feel his body about to be destroyed.

"My pity will be to end your miserable existence..." - Pakura said weakly as she completely incinerated the Anbu's body - "Now... I have to get out of here... fast..."

Pakura advanced slowly towards the sea to try to get even a boat but her steps were getting heavier and heavier, that's why she was walking near the coast.

"I think it's this way!" - Pakura was surprised to hear voices approaching in her direction but she had nowhere to run. If she went to the dock, they would discover her, if she walked into the woods, she couldn't hide because her movements were weak and slow, that left only one solution - "E-everything... or nothing..."

Pakura ran as fast as she could towards the sea and threw herself into it without caring about the consequences. If she was caught, then her fate would be far more tragic than dying in the middle of the sea.

When she felt that her body was under the cold seas of the Land of Water, she could no longer resist and lost consciousness not knowing if she would ever be able to open her eyes again.

* * * [End Flashback] *

"I see..." - Nodded the redhead - "Your hatred of Suna is more than justified... although now I'm curious how you survived"

"Thanks to my tenacity along with my hatred for Suna and that bastard Rasa," Pakura answered coolly, "it also helped that I was aided by a woman from the island of Kiri... she was killed shortly after I recovered enough to use the little chakra I had left because of that fucking poison that destroyed so much of my Tenketsu..."

"I understand" - said Kurama seriously.
