The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 126: I think I'm gonna make you remember

Cap 126: I think I'm gonna make you remember

"!" - Orochimaru was surprised to see the corpse of his longest serving subordinate fall inert to the ground after the Shinigami shattered his soul, but his expression changed when he felt a sharp pain - "Argh!"

"I see he had a fragment of your soul inside him..." - Kurama said as the Shinigami disappeared but not before giving Orochimaru a glance, as if remembering his appearance.

"B-Bastard..." - Orochimaru muttered as he staggered.

"Those are my words," replied the ginger as his pupils sharpened, "Now... how about we play [How long can the snake-faced bastard hold out before he begs for death?] Hmm... that's a very long name..."

". . ." - Orochimaru just gritted his teeth in anger as he looked at the Uzumaki youth with hatred - "Kimimaro, stop playing with Jiraiya..."

* * * [With Jiraiya and Kimimaro] * * *

"Kimimaro, stop playing with Jiraiya..." - the two shinobis were surprised to hear Orochimaru's voice, only to notice Kabuto lying lifeless on the ground.

"I'm sorry, Jiraiya-sama... Orochimaru-sama has ordered me to end this," Kimimaro said neutrally.

"It won't be that easy" - answered Jiraiya but was interrupted by the boy, who was with a bone sword in his hand - "Tsubaki no Mai (Dance of the Camellia)..."

"Tch... how troublesome..." - Jiraiya muttered in annoyance as he dodged the Otonin's attacks - "Great... now I sound like a Nara..."

". . ." - Kimimaro stepped back a few feet and gave his opponent a glance. Despite the buffoonish attitude he was showing, Jiraiya was dodging his attacks with great ease - "As I would expect from a Densetsu no Sannin... a shinobi of equal rank to Orochimaru-sama"

"You flatter me... although I have to admit that I'm not a genius like Orochimaru" - replied Jiraiya while shaking his head - "That's why I have to strive to be equal or better than my colleagues"

This was information that everyone knew, Jiraiya was always considered the dead weight of the team. Tsunade was a prodigy in the field of Medical Ninjutsu thanks to her precise control, Orochimaru was a genius who appeared only once per generation while he, he was always the one who had to strive for everything he wanted to achieve, although this paid off because he was the only one of the three who could 'complete' his training as Sennin. Many consider him a perverted idiot, but very few are aware that underneath all that lust lies a shinobi of high level of danger.

"Yanagi no Mai (Dance of the Willows)..." - the boy from Oto muttered as large, sharp, needle-like bones began to sprout from his skin.

"You know? The X-men are going to sue us for this" - said Jiraiya as he wondered why he said that, though his expression changed when he noticed the boy running against him - "Tch! Katon: Endan!"

With a quick movement of his hands, Jiraiya made preparations to throw a fireball at his enemy, who quickly moved aside to avoid the enemy's attack.

"You're more elusive than I thought" - said Jiraiya with a scowl as he saw how the boy seemed to be thinking something - "Is something wrong?"

"I just thought that my life will be greatly reduced..." - Kimimaro muttered as the mark on his neck began to spread throughout his body - "Chi no Juin (Cursed Seal of the Earth)...Karamatsu no Mai (Dance of the Larch)..."

A large number of bones began to sprout from the boy's body as he disappeared from his current location and reappeared in front of Jiraiya with great ease.

"!" - Jiraiya quickly replaced himself with a log as he watched in surprise as the boy's speed changed - "Impressive... I guess that's what the Seal Orochimaru put on Uchiha Sasuke does..."

". . ." - Kimimaro was silent as he analyzed his situation a little. It had only been a few seconds since the battle began but that little time was more than enough for his Master to die at the hands of the ginger - "I'm sorry... but I have to finish this quickly..."

Kimimaro took a breath as his skin began to darken and six large bone spines emerged from his back - "Tessenka no Mai: Tsuru (Dance of the Clematis: Vine)"

Kimimaro quickly put his hand behind his back and with a quick movement, pulled back his spine.

"!" - Jiraiya couldn't hide his surprise at seeing this. He knew that the Kekkei Genkai of the Kaguya clan allowed their bones to be used as weapons, but he never thought that Kimimaro could remove one of the most important bones from his system as if nothing had happened and without any apparent side effects.

"Die..." - Kimimaro said as he appeared at full speed in front of Jiraiya with his whip-shaped bones sword.

*Clank!*

"Huh?" - Jiraiya opened his eyes in surprise when he saw how the sword stopped before he even started the attack.

". . ." - Kimimaro slowly looked back and noticed how Kurama was taking up the bone whip with a neutral look.

*Poof!*

Although as soon as he appeared, the Clone disappeared.

". . ." - Kimimaro quickly looked in the direction of the redhead, only to notice how he was walking with all the calm of the world to where his Master was. He analyzed the situation and without thinking twice, ran against the ginger with all his strength.

"Don't think you'll get rid of me!" - roared Jiraiya as he ran after the boy, only to feel a familiar sensation coming from him that distracted him for a moment - "Senjutsu?!"

Kimimaro took advantage of the moment to increase the distance between the two and begin his attack, only to see Kurama give him a dull look.

Kimimaro's stoic gaze was clouded with irritation at his opponent's attitude, so he decided to go all out. His left arm slowly began to be covered by what appeared to be a large bone drill that reached into his forearm along with a great increase in speed - "Tessenka no Mai: Hana (Dance of the Clematis: Flower)..."

Kurama slowly extended his hand when he saw that his opponent was only a few meters away.

"You conceited idiot..." - Kimimaro muttered as he saw his opponent's stupid action, but his expression changed when he saw how easily he stopped his attack - "Impossible..."

"My body is much harder than you think... I have been constantly tempering it with nature's chakra," said Kurama neutrally as he took the drill and with a quick movement, split it in half with a single movement of his wrist.

"!" - Kimimaro's eyes could not be more open because this contradicted everything he had been taught from his Kekkei Genkai. The elders of his clan, as well as Orochimaru, had clearly stated that his bones were so hard and firm due to their great chakra density that it was impossible to break them.

"Impossible..." - said Orochimaru who had seen everything.

"I think you forgot one small detail, so I think I'll make you remember..." - said Kurama as he looked at the Renegade Sannin - "I was able to fight Hashirama when he was using his Sennin Mode. Even though he wasn't at full strength, I was able to stop him... so now I ask you... did you really think that such a simple attack could stop me?"

"To be honest, I'd forgotten that detail" - answered Orochimaru calmly - "Although that doesn't change the situation at all because I only need one thing to be able to win and that's time"

"Sorry for the delay, Orochimaru-sama" - said Menma as he appeared beside the Renegade Sannin with a look that showed how tired he was.

Kurama was surprised to see Menma appear at the site because he never thought he would beat Shizune.

"I see you used the paralyzing poison I gave you wisely," Orochimaru said with a smile. "It's too bad Kabuto couldn't use it... although to be honest, I don't think it worked against Kurama-kun..."

Menma only looked at the body of his companion in silence, though inside he was smiling coldly as he saw that things were going the way he had wished.

"It's because she underestimated me..." - Menma replied neutrally - "Although it is ironic that a kunoichi who is an expert in poisons should be defeated by one"

"Jiraiya..." - said Kurama coldly.

"I know, I'll go and check on her condition" - replied Jiraiya as he ran in the direction of his ex-partner's student.

"Orochimaru!" - roared Tsunade, who was practically pouring fire out of her mouth because she was so angry. Dan was being much more troublesome than she thought because by the time she sent him flying, he was already recovered and running in her direction again.

"What do you need, Tsunade?" - asked the Snake Sannin as he looked at the blonde woman - "You didn't like my present, did you?"

"Fuck you, bastard!" - exclaimed the Sannin of the Slugs as her chakra grew with each passing second. She was seriously thinking of releasing her seal and ending all this once and for all but that would be counterproductive because if she needed it in the future, she would lose an ace up her sleeve.

"Orochimaru-sama," said Kimimaro as he appeared on the other side of his Master, although you could tell he was tired like his blond partner.

Orochimaru said nothing, although inside he was analyzing the situation at full speed because he had to find a way to put things back in his favor.
