The Legend of the Kyubi

"!" - Fuu quickly bent down, only to see a sword made of sharp scales pass over her - ". . ."     

"Kisame... what would have happened if you had killed her with that thing?" - Itachi asked neutrally as he stared at Fuu with narrowed eyes.     

"Don't call Samehada a thing!" - exclaimed Kisame angrily but quickly calmed down - "And in answer to your question, nothing serious would have happened to her, it would have only consumed her chakra until she was weak"     

". . ." - Fuu was silent as Choumei shouted at her to get out of that place as quickly as possible because those two men in front of her were extremely dangerous.     

"I'm sure you know who we are and that we need you," said Itachi as he gave her a blank look. "So I don't think we need to introduce ourselves. . ."     

"Run, Fuu! Run to buy some time so that the seal of Kurama given to us can be activated!" - exclaimed Choumei - "If you don't, you will die and I will be captured!"     

"!" - Fuu's eyes opened when she heard this as the image of the boy she had recently met appeared in her mind - "Ok..."     

"See? This is easy" - said Kisame when he heard the girl, only to see her fly away at great speed - ". . ."     

"Rinpun (Dust Scale)" - Fuu muttered as she increased the speed and started releasing a lot of bright dust.     

"Ugh..." - Kisame narrowed his eyes as he felt hundreds of lights shining in his eyes - "Ok, this will be annoying..."     

"I'm sorry but I have to meet someone..." - said Fuu before she flew away from the place     

"Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu" - muttered Itachi as he made all the dust disappear with a fireball - "She escaped..."     

"Why didn't you do that before?" - Kisame asked with a scowl.     

"That dust made my chakra erratic for a few seconds" - answered Itachi normally, after all, he couldn't tell his partner that he had let his prey go for a few seconds so that she would have enough time to activate her seal.     

"I believe you," Kisame nodded firmly, "I too felt my chakra becoming strange for a few seconds and even Samehada sneezed"

"Fuu... you have to keep running in the direction of Konoha" - said Choumei seriously - "I don't know the reason but I can't reach Kurama, so we need to get as close as possible to ask for help"     

"Okay!" - Fuu exclaimed as she opened her eyes in surprise as she felt the heat rise.

"We found you, little fly," Kisame said with a scowl as he appeared in front of the girl.     

"!" - Fuu reacted immediately and rotated her body to create a smokescreen.     

"Use your Katon, Itachi!" - exclaimed Kisame as he noticed Samehada had attacked a log.     

"I cannot..." - Itachi answered calmly.     

"Why?!" - shouted Kisame in annoyance.     

"Because this dust... is flammable..." - said Itachi seriously - "If I use my Katon, we'll be blown to bits... a brilliant idea from our little friend..."     

"This prey is getting more and more annoying..." - said Kisame with neutrality.

"Fuu-chan... you have to stop flying..." - said Choumei from the seal - "Your body cannot maintain this chakra consumption much longer"     

While the Jinchurikis had a greater ability to handle the abundant chakra of the Bijuu, they were still human and by default had the weakness of not being able to maintain an excessive chakra state for long before falling to the ground in defeat. If it were not for that detail, the Jinchurikis would be invincible but as they say, nature is fair.     

"No... it is not long before we enter Konoha...tsu territory" - Fuu said wearily - "Just a little longer and we will be safe with Kurama Nii-san and Shino-kun..."     

". . ." - Choumei was silent before feeling the surroundings distort - "Fuu!"     

"I think it's time we finish this cat and mouse game..." - said Itachi as he appeared behind a tree with his Mangekyo Sharingan activated - "It was fun while it lasted but we have a lot of things to do..."     

"Chou-chan..." - said Fuu seriously.     

"Sorry, Fuu... I can't do it..." - Choumei said while shaking his head - "I know what you want to do and let me tell you that it won't work, not with the current state of your body... not to mention that you are already inside the Genjutsu of that Uchiha..."     

". . ." - Fuu was silent as a sad smile appeared on her face - "I guess I won't be able to see you again... Shino-kun..."     

". . ." - Itachi was surprised when he heard this but didn't show it.     

"I see you finally caught the fly," Kisame said angrily.     

"Where were you?" - Itachi asked with a scowl as he looked at his partner.     

"I went to the bathroom and look what I found" - said Kisame with excitement.     

"Another rock..." - sighed Itachi as he rolled his eyes at his partner - "Are you serious?"     

"What can I say" - said Kisame as he shrugged - "I got attached with the rocks"     

". . ." - Fuu just kept silent not knowing what to say because she never thought her captors would be a duo like the one she was currently observing.     

"Anyway, we'd better get this over with," said Itachi as his eyes began to spin at high speed.     

"Don't look into his eyes, Fuu!" - exclaimed Choumei but it was too late.     

Fuu was slowly closing her eyes as she felt all her senses disappear one after another.     

"Kurama!" - roared Choumei as he watched his Jinchuriki fall to the ground.

"Leader..." - a voice echoed in the room as Pain slowly opened his eyes to the appearance of Kisame's silhouette - "We have captured the Nanabi"     

"I see..." - mumbled Pain with neutrality - "Anything I need to know? And I hope it has nothing to do with rocks..."     

Kisame saved his words when he heard the cold voice of his leader to quickly explain what had happened - "Now all that remains is to absorb the Nanabi, although we still don't have the statue"     

"It's because Konan and Tobi are using it to seal the Sanbi right now" - answered Pain with an apathetic look - "Any strange reaction in the seal of our little insect"     

"None for the moment" - answered Kisame seriously - "Samehada hasn't found anything strange either"     

"It's perfect... I guess Uzumaki Kurama couldn't find the Nanabi before we did," murmured Pain as he squinted. "Has Itachi acted strangely during this mission?"     

"No," Kisame immediately denied. "He's been acting like he always does"     

"I understand... Good job capturing the Nanabi" - said Pain before making Kisame's silhouette disappear - "Let's hope you are not as stupid as I think, Itachi... you are a valuable piece of my plan and it would be a shame to have to remove you..."

"Tch! And I thought Itachi was the life of the party" - said Kisame as he clicked his tongue - "Good thing I didn't tell him about Rocky II"     

"Could you ask him why the statue still doesn't appear?" - Itachi asked neutrally.     

"The ice cube and the asshole are using it to seal the Sanbi," Kisame replied normally. He honestly didn't care in the least about the state of the three-tailed Bijuu.     

Itachi was about to say something when he felt his pocket vibrate slightly - "I'm going to go and keep an eye on the surroundings... I recommend you do the same, Kisame... we don't know if Uzumaki Kurama might show up at this place"     

"You're right about that," murmured Kisame with a scowl, "I'll watch the south while you watch the north"     

"As you wish," replied Itachi as he started to walk without paying attention to the unconscious Jinchuriki because they had not only drugged her to keep her unconscious but had used special seals to restrict her chakra use to a minimum.     

Kisame squinted for a second before following his partner because he felt something strange was happening, only to notice how he was watching his surroundings normally.

"What do you want, Kurama?" - Itachi asked seriously as he pulled a seal from his pocket - "Don't you know how hard it is to create a Kage Bunshin and fool Kisame?"     

"I'm sorry about that, I just wanted to know if it's true what I felt"     

"Yes, we captured the Nanabi," answered Itachi seriously.     

"I see... I would like you to leave the scroll with Fuu's body so that I can retrieve her."     

"Ok..." - replied Itachi calmly as he went back to the room where Fuu was and put the seal between the girl's clothes so that no one would discover anything strange - "I still wonder why he doesn't bother with what I've done. If Akatsuki were capturing my family, I..."     

"It's because my brother won't be in danger, but only weak... the other reason is that if I stop you, Akatsuki will have you in his sights by the great 'coincidence' of the situation"     

". . ." - Itachi was silent as he shook his head, only to create a second clone and make him change his appearance - "You know what to do"     

". . ." - the clone just nodded as he disappeared from the scene.

I'm sure you must be curious why two chapters in a row... the reason is simple, I had the chapter ready yesterday but since I had to go to the hospital to check my hand, I forgot that I had to upload it... the other one was half done so I managed to finish it today.
