The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 214: Moving forward into the future

Cap 214: Moving forward into the future

*Warning, the following chapter contains a lot of Drama, and I warn you because I already have a headache with so many complaints that there is too much drama when there is a damn "DRAMA" tag*

It had been two days since Kurama and Ino had their first time together and the girl was taken on a training trip by Inoichi.

Kurama only shook his head when he saw this but said nothing because Ino's mother was also going with them, but that was not the important thing at this time but Yugao.

"What's wrong with you, Yugao-san? - asked Kurama when he saw how the purple-haired Anbu had come to get him.

"No... it is nothing" - answered Yugao with neutrality as she shook her head, just to remember what had happened many days before.

"If you say so..." - Kurama decided that it was better not to get involved in Yugao's life, although inside he nodded as he noticed that the negative emotions she had inside were diminishing rapidly.

Yugao glanced at the redhead, only to close her eyes as she remembered what had happened.

* * * [Flashback] * * *

"Tell me Yugao-chan... How have you been lately?" - asked Kushina as she looked at her student.

Today was the day that Kushina and Tsunade would meet with the purple-haired girl to talk about what she had been doing.

" Fine..." - Yugao replied neutrally as she kept silent.

"Okay, this is going to be much harder than I thought" - thought Tsunade as she narrowed her eyes.

". . ." - Kushina gave her student a forced smile as she prepared to speak, only to notice Tsunade's glance at her to keep her silent.

"Okay, let's do this," Tsunade said seriously.

"?" - Yugao gave her a confused look before noticing the change in the woman with the huge breasts.

"Tell me Yugao-san... what do you think your boyfriend would say if he saw you right now?" - asked Tsunade as she looked the girl directly in the eye.

"Tsunade?!" exclaimed Kushina with surprise because she never thought she would hear the blonde say something so direct and thoughtless.

"Silence, Kushina" - responded Tsunade as she gave her clan sister an annoyed glance - "This is serious... I want to know what she thinks"

". . ." - Yugao frowned when she heard this as she felt her chakra grow to the point of becoming erratic but before she could scream at her, she heard Tsunade interrupt her - "Before you say something stupid like 'What do you know,' remember that I went through the same thing, even worse"

". . ." - Yugao was silent when she heard this because she remembered the 'little' detail the blonde had mentioned - "I'm sorry..."

"You don't have to apologize; I just want you to answer me" - said Tsunade as she shook her head. She knew this was the first step she had to take, recognizing that her loved one, would not want to see her this way - "Now I want you to think hard about my question... this is important..."

Yugao began to think about the past, only to open her eyes to how her boyfriend seemed to be whispering in her ear.

'Do you know Yugao-chan? Sometimes I think I'm hurting you by being with you... in the future, I will fall because of this disease and make you suffer for it... but... I can't do anything to stop how much I love you...'

"Hayate-kun..." - Yugao whispered as the tears began to flow.

'Don't regret your decisions, Yugao-chan, because of them, we are who we are, and that's why I don't regret anything in my life'

"Hayate-kun..."

'Yugao-chan... if one day, I can no longer be by your side, I only hope that you can find someone who loves you as much as I do... Don't hit me! I'm serious! No one knows my situation better than I do. I wouldn't like to have on my conscience the fact that I will make you suffer...'

"Hayate-kun..."

'Children? I always wanted to have a little girl, one as beautiful as her mother, brave, bold, but most of all... kind... although I hope she doesn't come out with my illness... I couldn't watch her suffer without being able to do anything to help her...'

"Hayate-kun..."

'There are times when I wonder if everything is predestined. I was always told I would have a short life, and I was honestly scared... although now that I think about it, I couldn't have asked for a better life. I have a successful career, a family that loves me, and most important of all, a beautiful girlfriend, you could say I have the dream that any man wants.

"Hayate-kun..."

'Remember Yugao-chan... life is not a flat path. Life has ups and downs, happy moments, and sad moments, so you don't have to just focus on one side of life. Happiness gives color to our lives but sadness is what strengthens our character, what makes us mature, that's why the world is not black or white, but a grayscale'

". . ." - Yugao could no longer say anything but remember her beloved, it made her heart tremble slightly.

'I hope you will be happy... Yugao-chan... remember that I will always be by your side, even when I leave this world.

". . ." - Yugao could not resist any longer. She fell to her knees as she felt the tears soothe her heart.

". . ." - Kushina tried to go to her former student, only to see Tsunade stop her while she shook her head - "Why?"

"Because she needs to release everything, she has inside of her by herself" - answered Tsunade while giving the purple-haired girl a kind look - "There are times when no matter how much you try to help us, how much you try to comfort us..."

Tsunade stopped as she shook her head - "What I was trying to say, is that there are times when we should be the ones to wake up"

". . ." - Kushina slowly nodded as she watched her student continue to cry.

* * * * *

"I'm sorry I showed you such an ungraceful appearance" - apologized Yugao while wiping away her tears - "Although I thank you for making me see a few things..."

"No... we didn't do anything" - answered Tsunade while shaking her head - "It was your memories that made you open your eyes..."

"No... it was Hayate-kun's words..." - Yugao murmured as she placed her hand on her heart - "He continues to care for me even though he is no longer by my side..."

Tsunade smiled as she saw how the girl had changed slightly.

"I feel like I didn't do anything I feel like I almost screwed up" - said Kushina as she sighed with regret - "Good thing you came, Tsunade"

"As I said, there are times when trying to help someone with love and words of encouragement is not the answer," responded Tsunade as she shook her head.

Yugao said nothing in response to the blonde's words because she found that she was right. What she needed was not the pity of others, or their compassion, what she needed was someone who would understand her, who would know what it was like to go through the same thing, someone who would help her take the first step.

"Now that I remember... how about joining us at Yu no Kuni?" - asked Kushina with a smile - "We'll go with Kuro-chan and the others so we can relax a bit after all the shit that has happened"

"Are you going to the hot springs?" - asked Yugao with surprise as she began to think - "I understand that Kurama-sama wants to take a break after Kakashi-sama called for him so many times in a row... not to mention the incident at Kumo..."

"That's right..." - Tsunade nodded - "I've noticed that Kurama-kun has been a little tense lately, so it's a good time to take a break... and I feel that a change of scenery can also help you"

"Hmm..." - Yugao got to thinking when she heard this because honestly, it didn't sound like a bad idea to take a little vacation now that she had released some of what was trapped in her chest - "I have to think about it for a while... give me a few days and I'll let you know if I'm coming with you"

"We have no problem waiting," responded Kushina with a smile. "We'll be going on a trip in a week, so you have until then to give us an answer.

"Thank you" - replied Yugao with a small smile, only to be embarrassed to hear her stomach releasing a short 'kyu~' - ". . ."

"I think this is a good time to eat something, after all, you are slightly relaxed now that you have released some of the tension inside you" - smiled Tsunade as she called one of the waitresses.

"Thank you..." - Yugao muttered as she hid her face because she honestly didn't want anyone to see her embarrassed face.

* * * [End of Flashback] * * *

"Kurama-sama..." - said Yugao as she opened her eyes and looked closely at the redhead.

"What is it, Yugao-san?" - asked Kurama curiously.

"I would like you to tell Kushina-sama that I agree to go with you all," replied Yugao as she looked the ginger directly in the eye.

"Perfect!" - smiled Kurama as he nodded.

Kurama quickly created a clone and sent it to the Uzumaki Residence.

"I am sure Kushi-chan will be happy with the news... although now I am curious to know how you managed to make your first steps towards the future" - said Kurama with curiosity.

"I'm sorry, Kurama-sama" - apologized Yugao as she shook her head - "That is of a personal matter so I can refuse to answer"

"Hmm..." - Kurama nodded calmly as the two continued to walk to Kakashi's office - "Now I just hope it's not another bullshit mission..."
