The Legend of the Kyubi

Kurama had returned to the Uzumaki mansion to tell the girls about what he had managed to discover, only to see how all of them had an empty look on their faces. This was a special case for Tsunade, who had not only received the news badly but was now devastated at the news of the death of her uncle who had not even been able to reach the world.     

"What do you plan to do, Kuro-chan?" - asked Kushina with seriousness in her eyes.     

"I'm going to wait for Pa to come and tell me if he's found a solution... but I'm not going to sit around for now..." - replied Kurama seriously - "I'm going to look for Orochimaru... He may know something..."     

"!" - Those present opened their eyes in surprise because they had not thought about it.     

"I'm sorry for the delay" - said a voice that the family recognized immediately.     

"Kimimaro! You're finally back, you piece of shit!" - exclaimed Tayuya with a smile as she saw that not only had the boy returned, but so had his family.     

"I'm sorry I couldn't get here sooner, it's just that I ran into someone halfway through" - said Kimimaro as those present looked on in surprise at a badly injured Jiraiya.     

"Ero Gama! What happened to you?!" - exclaimed Kushina with surprise at the appearance of the white-haired Sannin.

"Bodies?!" - exclaimed Kurenai with surprise although it was obvious that the others were also shocked by the news.     

"Exactly, bodies..." - said Jiraiya in pain - "Akatsuki's leader can control 6 different bodies with strange abilities... I managed to kill one that could summon animals and another that seemed to take machines out of its body... after that, I could only escape with everything I had because my Sennin Modo was about to break"     

Jiraiya had achieved some mastery in the Sennin Modo and now he did not need the help of Pa and Ma, although he still asked for their help from time to time to analyze the flow of Nature's Energy and thus be able to improve.     

". . ." - those present were silent because Akatsuki's leader now sounded terrified with those kinds of abilities.     

"Thank you for helping Jiraiya, Kimimaro" - said Kurama while thanking the young man from the Kaguya clan.     

"It's my duty, Kurama-sama," Kimimaro replied seriously. "By the way, when we entered Konoha, a raven handed me this"     

Kurama took the letter by surprise as he opened it and started reading it, only to have his expression become colder after a few seconds.     

"What is it, Kurama-kun?" - asked Mikoto with concern because she knew whose raven it was.     

"I have good news and bad news..." - said Kurama as he looked around, although his gaze focused for a few seconds on Mikoto and Kumo's girls.     

"The good news is that Itachi is coming back..." - said Kurama calmly.     

"!" - Mikoto could barely contain her happiness but noticing her husband's almost neutral expression, she could only calm down as much as she could because she knew that now the bad news was coming.     

"The bad news is two," sighed Kurama as he looked at Mikoto. "Itachi is hurt and we must go and find him"     

"!" - Mikoto opened her eyes in surprise but quickly calmed down - "How?"     

"It seems that Akatsuki never trusted him because at the moment he defected, he was attacked by Akatsuki's leader, Pain, and an unknown Uchiha" - said Kurama seriously - "He barely escaped thanks to Kisame's help"     

"Why would Kisame help Itachi?" - Mei asked in surprise when she heard the name of an acquaintance.     

"It seems that Kisame was also bored with Akatsuki, so when he found out that Itachi was leaving, he decided to go with him and thus get out of what this letter says, this shitty organization..." - replied Kurama while his lip trembled slightly because it was obvious that it was the same Kisame who wrote that part - "The other bad news, is that Akatsuki will attack Kumo to capture B-san... although it doesn't say what date it will be..."     

Mabui, Yugito, and Samui opened their eyes when they heard this while feeling their hearts beating strongly.     

"Don't worry, we will also go to help them" - said Kurama with a smile to try to calm them down.     

The Kumo girls were about to speak when they saw a small smoke screen appear in the room - "Kurama Boy!     

"Pa?!" - exclaimed Kurama in surprise.     

"I need you to bring the mother to Mount Myoboku immediately!"- exclaimed Fukasaku as he concentrated on the redhead - "Ojiji-sama made a prediction and saw how in 15 minutes it will be the time most likely to save the babies!"     

"!" - Kurama opened his eyes in surprise as all but the newcomers breathed heavily. He slowly looked around, especially at the girls.     

"Go" - Samui said seriously - "This is important... besides, we don't know when Akatsuki's attack will start"     

Kurama tried to say something but was interrupted by Mabui - "Go... We will take care of everything, after all, we are not as weak as you think"     

Kurama nodded firmly as he looked around and took Tsunade by the hand, then disappeared from the scene. It was better not to waste time because every minute counted.     

"Pa..." - said Jiraiya in pain.     

"I'm sorry I didn't notice you, Jiraiya..." - said Fukasaku with surprise at how hurt he was.     

"That doesn't matter... I want to know what the hell is going on..." - said Jiraiya with a scowl as he noticed how all the women in the room had a dark look on their faces.     

"They will explain that to you when I leave, although I will make this clear here and now... it is possible that Kurama Boy cannot return to this part of the Elemental Nations for one or two months because we will be worried about Tsunade..." - said Fukasaku as he disappeared into a smokescreen.     

". . ." - The girls were silent when they heard this because they didn't expect such words from old Toad.     

"Well?" - asked Jiraiya as he grimaced as he ignored the last words his teacher had said before he left.     

"This will be long and a little worrying..." - murmured Kushina as she told him what had happened, only to notice the Sannin's expression getting worse and worse.

"Not only you couldn't kill Jiraiya, but you also let Kisame and Itachi go..." - said Obito as he looked at his 'leader'.     

"I only belittled them" - replied Pain with neutrality as he felt his anger grow as he let three insects escape - "You can consider it the compassion of a god..."     

"Those three that you 'forgive', can be hundreds of problems for us and our plan! - roared Obito as his Sharingan changed.     

"Nothing is going to interfere with MY plan, Madara..." - said Pain coolly as his killer instinct was released.     

"I hope you know what you are doing, Nagato..."- said Obito before he disappeared from the scene.

"This may be a hard blow to our precious plan, Obito..." - said Black Zetsu as he appeared right where the masked Uchiha had teleported.     

"I know... but as long as we have our backup plan, nothing will happen," said Obito neutrally. "But that fool Nagato is beginning to be of no use to us..."     

"I know... that's why we'll soon take him off the board..." - said Zetsu as he burst out laughing - "But for now let's wait... Nagato will continue to be useful to us until we succeed in capturing the Hachibi... after that, his Rinnegan will return to its true owner..."

Obito continued laughing madly, not noticing how a shadow was looking at him with condescension, as if he was just watching a jester do his act while he threw money at him to make him feel he was doing a good job.     

"Imbecile... you're all fools who don't understand what you're messing with..." - Zetsu thought as he recalled the past - "Humans are so easy to manipulate that it's not even funny..."
