The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 7: Inari, the Strongest Disciple (1)

Extra 7: Inari, the Strongest Disciple (1)

My name is Inari, 20 years old, and disciple of the strongest shinobi in the world, Uzumaki Kurama.

In the beginning, I thought that we would meet only once, that I and my family would be just random people in sensei's life but after some time I understood that things were not like that.

It was 2 years later, when he and Kushina-san came to Nami no Kuni, that I realized that things would not be so easy.

When I and Kaasan saw him again, I understood that something strange was going through my mother's mind, but I decided to ignore it because there was something much more important.

"Tazuna told me you wanted to talk to me," said Kurama as he looked at me curiously.

"Yes! I want to be strong, much stronger!" - I exclaimed with all my strength. I did not want to go through what I went through in my childhood again, I did not want to see my mother suffering, and my grandfather sacrificing his life for my safety.

"Hmm... Tazuna told me something about that," murmured Kurama as I watched him shake his head. "He told me how you didn't want to work as a builder or a fisherman..."

"No... I want to be strong, as strong as you" - I said as I looked at him with all my will as if I wanted to convey to him my desire for power.

". . ." - Kurama looked at me for a few seconds. I could feel my fear increasing with every minute that passed - "I can see a strong will in you, Inari. Hmm... I guess I could try to teach you... although I have to warn you that things will not be that simple"

"No matter how difficult it gets, I won't give up!" - I exclaimed with conviction as I watched him nod.

"Ok, let's do this" - said Kurama while he was thinking for a few seconds - "I will give you a training regime, you have to follow it to the letter and when we meet again, I will show you the true path to become stronger".

"!" - my eyes shone with emotion when I heard this as I nodded firmly.

"Well, first we'll talk to your mother so she knows, I don't want her to worry about you getting hurt," said Kurama as he looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Ugh..." - I could only complain in discomfort because I knew my mother would not take too kindly to the fact that I would want to train. She wanted me to follow in my grandfather's or father's footsteps so that I could have a safe life, but that didn't interest me in the least.

"From what I can see, you don't like the idea very much" - said Kurama as he shook his head - "Relax, I'm going to talk to Tsunami-san and tell her that if you don't complete this training, I will convince you to become a builder or a fisherman... Is that okay with you?"

"Ok, I won't back down" - I said firmly when I noticed the serious look on Kurama's face.

"It is good to hear that because I am going, to be honest with you... the training I am going to give you is a one-way ticket to hell" - answered Kurama seriously as his eyes shone with sadism.

". . ." - I remained silent because something told me that this was not my best decision.

The months went by, and a little more than a year and a half had passed without any news from Kurama.

There were times when I felt that Kurama had given me this training to get rid of me but then seeing the results that the hellish training had given me, I understood that he was being serious.

Not only had I grown much more than other children my age, but I was also much stronger than some adults in the Village. Even my grandfather and mother were impressed, to the point that she no longer bothered me as much when it came to training.

Today should have been a normal training day, but I was surprised when I heard how Kushina-san had appeared in the middle of the Village to talk to the village chief.

I ran to see what it was all about after I had finished my daily routine, only to hear the other villagers screaming with excitement for a fairly simple reason, we were about to Migrate to a new place, one that not only had better resources but would also be much safer because that place was none other than Uzu no Kuni, the ancestral land of the Uzumaki clan, the clan of Kurama sensei.

I could not be more excited when I heard this because it was a sign that I would finally begin my true training.

"Son!" - I heard my mother calling me as she was talking amicably to Kushina-san.

"Look how you've grown, Inari" - said Kushina-san as she looked at me with a smile - "I guess you've trained like Kuro-chan said to the letter".

I just nodded firmly as I puffed up my chest in pride.

"Kuro-chan told me that your training will start when he solves the problems he has right now" - said Kushina-san, although I noticed that something strange was happening because of the serious expression she had on her face.

"Is everything all right, Kushina-san?" - Kaasan asked as she looked worriedly at sensei's wife.

"No, it's nothing," replied Kushina-san as she shook her head.

5 months had passed since Kushina-san came to Nami no Kuni and my training was still constant.

At this time, everyone was waiting for Kurama sensei to show up so that we could move to our new home, although some older inhabitants decided to stay because they did not want to leave the home, they had so many memories of.

"Kurama sensei!" - I exclaimed when I saw the sensei appear in front of me.

"Oh, hello Inari" - said Kurama sensei as he looked at me with a smile - "The Boss sent me a message with the information about your training..."

"Oh, you are one of his clones..." - I said with regret as I looked at the clone.

"I'm sorry if I raised your hopes," said the clone of sensei as he shook his head - "The Boss has been very busy lately, to the point that we are doing all the work while he is worrying about a somewhat delicate subject...".

"But let's leave those serious issues for another time, it's time to send them to Uzushiogakure no Sato to see the new place they will inhabit" - said the clone of sensei while looking around - "The basic houses are built, although these were created with Mokuton and don't have many attachments... that's why I ask them to build their own houses, although they don't have to do it in such a hurry because the houses I made are 100% operational and without any problem".

"Leave that work to us, Kurama," Jiji said firmly, "You heard the chief, it's time we used our skills to build the best village the Elemental Nations have ever seen!

"Hai! - exclaimed the other villagers as their eyes shone brightly, that would be their new beginning after all.

"What surprises me is that the Nami no Kuni Daimyo has not put so much trouble into our migration," murmured one villager as the others thought the same, although at the time he did not understand what it was all about.

Another two months had passed and my training with the clone and Sensei was getting heavier.

There were times when I wanted to give up, but I kept going thanks to my strong will.

"I think that's enough for today" - said Kurama sensei while looking at me with a smile - "Your training with the gravity seals is getting better and better, now you can finally move freely with the Gravity Seals x2"

"T-Thank you, sensei..." - I murmured wearily as I fell to the ground.

"After I cure you, you have to go take a bath because the boss is coming with the others" - said the clone of Sensei with a smile while his hands shone with a slight turquoise color.

"Ugh... okay..." - I murmured as I felt the pain go away.

When I was ready, I walked over to where Sensei's clone told me his original was, only to be surprised to see Kaasan with a little girl who looked a little like her in her arms - "Kaasan? What are you doing here?"

"Ara?" - ''Kaasan'' looked at me in confusion - "Who are you, young man?"

"Kaasan, don't joke with me" - I buffet in annoyance - "Who is that girl?"

"Pff~" - Sensei, the original, could not contain his laughter any longer when he heard my words so he explained the situation.

"Oh..." - I couldn't do anything but look at the floor unable to do anything else because I was embarrassed to see Mikoto-san.

I should have noticed the small differences, but she was so similar to Kaasan that I unconsciously ignored them.

"Relax, Inari" - said Mikoto with a smile - "I'm sure anyone would go through the same situation..."

Mikoto-san was kind enough to try to comfort me, but honestly only made it worse, although I felt a little better when I heard how all the other villagers went through the same mistake when they saw Mikoto-san in the distance.

That was a day that as much as I wanted to forget, I couldn't because it would be the day, I would finally meet my new family, in more ways than one...
