The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 253: Was it clear?

Cap 253: Was it clear?

"Okay, now you just need to move your arms up a little more" - said Kurama as he watched as young Inari was sweating through all the exercise he had done.

"H-Hai!" - exclaimed Inari in pain as he raised his arms a little more.

It had been two days since Kurama had the meeting to see the state of Uzu, and now that he had designated the necessary tasks, he was concentrating entirely on the training of his pupil.

"I feel that this is cruel..." - said Tsunami, who had decided for the first time in all this time to watch her son train, only to worry about all the suffering he was going through.

"I'm not doing anything out of bounds that he can accept," responded Kurama calmly as he saw Inari grit his teeth. "If he can't resist this, then he won't be able to resist what's coming in the future"

". . ." - Tsunami was silent as she prepared to stop all this, only to notice how Inari was looking at her with a serious expression that made her hesitate.

"As I said, you don't have to worry," said Kurama as he gave her a serious look. " This is the training I make him do every day"

"Easy, Kaasan" - said Inari while giving her a smile - "Sensei cures me to be as good as new when we finish".

Tsunami was silent because she remembered that her son came home as if nothing had happened every day.

"My skills heal him, but he needs a huge amount of food to be able to recover all the energy and vitamins that he spent during training," added Kurama as he lit up the path for Tsunami a little more. She again began to remember how her son now seemed to be eating more and more.

"By the way, if you have problems with food, you can always ask us for some money, after all, it's my fault that Inari is eating so much more" - said Kurama as he scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

"Y-You don't have to!" - exclaimed Tsunami in embarrassment. While she was feeling that the finances of the house were getting a little tight, it was nothing they couldn't handle.

"No, I insist," responded Kurama seriously, "Inari is my disciple, so I have to take responsibility for his expenses"

"I'm sure the other Sensei wouldn't do that kind of thing," said Tsunami as she shook her head.

"True... but I have the means to do it" - said Kurama with a tone that showed he wouldn't take no for an answer.

"Okay, you win..." - sighed Tsunami as she shook her head. She quickly began to think and discovered that this would be a good opportunity - "Although I would like to thank you in some way... Hmm... I know, how about coming to dinner with us once in a while?"

"Hmm.... I don't know..." - said Kurama as he shook his head.

"Please accept, it is the only way I can relax after what you are doing for us" - said Tsunami seriously.

"Okay, I accept" - replied Kurama as he shook his head.

"Ok, I'll be waiting for you" - smiled Tsunami with her slightly red cheeks.

Kurama looked at her for a few seconds before nodding, and then concentrated again on his young apprentice.

Tsunami also looked at her son, only to notice how he seemed to be so focused on his training that he didn't notice how the two adults were talking.

She was embarrassed to notice how she was trying to get a head start on the redhead while her son was suffering, so she decided to leave for the time being - "I think that's enough for today, I'm going to go home and make dinner"

"Okay, you can come to the Uzumaki Tower at any time to collect the money, I will let Kushi-chan know, so he can prepare everything" - answered Kurama firmly.

"Ok, tomorrow I invite you to come and have dinner with us" - smiled Tsunami as she retired before hearing the redhead's response, making it clear what she wanted to happen.

"Huh? Kaasan's gone?" - asked Inari as he saw that his mother was nowhere to be found.

"She just left" - answered Kurama - "Ok, let's take a five-minute break to move on to the second phase of the training"

"Ok!" - exclaimed Inari as he fell to the ground completely exhausted.

"Nagato..." - said Konan as he looked at his friend who was still with his eyes closed.

A week had passed since Nagato had entered a deep sleep in an attempt to regain his strength, to the point that his only remaining living Path of Pain was unconscious beside him.

". . ." - Konan sighed with regret as she shook her head - "I guess another day of waiting..."

She slowly walked over to Nagato's side and approached the body of the orange-haired man - "Yahiko... you shouldn't have died..."

Konan only cursed her friend's death before shaking her head.

Years had passed, and she continued to blame him for everything that had happened, including...

". . ." - Konan was silent for a few seconds before letting out a sigh. She slowly moved away from the two bodies and stood at a safe distance so that she could react if someone came in and attacked her friend - "At least... I'm going to give you the time you need to wake up"

She understood that Nagato was only semi-conscious, meaning that he could wake up at any time if something happened, which is why she kept close by to gain enough time for him to react.

"Not yet?" - asked a male voice that she knew very well.

Slowly, Konan looked in the direction of the voice, only to notice how Obito appeared with his mask on, only this time, his two eyes were being covered - "I didn't expect you to wear a new style of mask, Uchiha Madara"

"Oh, what a nice sarcasm" - said Obito with disdain - "You can call me Obito, you don't have to use a name that is not mine"

Konan did not answer him, she just put on her guard because she knew she could not trust the man in front of her.

"Relax, I don't plan to do anything against Nagato, at least for now" - said Obito while shaking his head - "He still has a use for the plan".

Konan began to release some of her chakra because of the anger she felt because it was because of this man that things had gotten out of control.

"You'd better keep your anger to yourself, we have some things to do now" - said Obito neutrally - "I know that Nagato is half unconscious, so I'm not going to ask you to do anything because I know you won't do it until he gets back to normal, so I want you to say something to that idiot when he wakes up".

"Just talk and then go" - answered Konan fiercely.

"Oh? We have a wild girl?" - asked Obito with disdain as he released some of his chakra, in the process, making the poor woman vomit blood, who felt her organs seem to be damaged by the pressure she felt - "Listen well, little bitch... if it weren't for you still being of use to us, I would have killed you already, so don't try to play with me..."

"Ack!" - Konan could feel the gravity increasing around her body, as well as the damage to her internal organs - "I-Impossible... you..."

"You're not as dumb as I thought" - said Obito as he walked slowly to the woman, who could feel the pressure increasing with every step he took - "Yes... I got that power too... so you better calm down... OK?"

". . ." - Konan said nothing else, she just nodded with weakness.

"Good girl... Tobi likes to see that you are a good girl" - said Obito with sarcasm - "Now I want you to remember every word I said and repeat them when Nagato wakes up... I want you to prepare to attack Uzu, we will take the Jinchuriki of the Nibi, and we will prepare for the wrath of the Kyubi... Was it clear?"

"Impossible! We can't fight the Kyubi and you know it!" - exclaimed Konan, only to feel her bones break when her body hit the ground fiercely - "Ugh..."

"I give the orders, you follow them... Are we clear?" - Obito asked neutrally as he felt the girl begin to lose consciousness - " Was it clear?!"

"H-Hai..." - said Konan as she felt the pressure around her end.

"Well said..." - said Obito before he disappeared from the scene.

Konan slowly got up, only to walk over to Nagato's and take a quick peek before losing consciousness.

"I don't think it was a good idea to reveal your power," said black Zetsu as he looked at his partner.

"No... it was necessary, so that bitch will stop bothering us" - responded Obito with neutrality.

"I think you should have killed her if that was the case," said Zetsu as he shook his head. "After all, we only need Nagato, Konan is useless to us"

"Right... but you have to understand that for Nagato, Konan is important, so having her is a leash on that idiot's neck," Obito calmly replied. "I may have managed to get the Rinnegan and my control over it has improved, but Nagato still has much more experience than I do"

"Right, at least with Konan on the board, you'll have an advantage over him" - Zetsu nodded - "I guess it's good that you don't have anyone important in your life"
