The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 260: Help me!

Cap 260: Help me!

"Finally a break..." - muttered Yugao as she walked through the crowded neighborhoods of Konoha.

She had managed to persuade Kushina to give her some time off after all that infernal training, and at this moment she was walking to the home of one of the few people she really loved.

"Oh? But isn't that Yugao-chan?" - said an old woman with a big smile when she saw the purple-haired young woman - "It's been so many years since we last saw each other"

"I'm sorry I didn't come sooner..." - said Yugao as she looked down - "It's just..."

"I know, you don't have to give me any excuses" - replied the old lady as she sighed with regret - "It must have been difficult after the abrupt separation you had with Hayate-chan"

". . ." - Yugao could only remain silent when she heard this as she nodded weakly.

"Come in, let's talk a little..." - said the old woman as she gave a gentle smile to the young woman - "Tell this old woman what your life has been like during the time we have not seen each other.

"Ok" - nodded Yugao as she entered the woman's home with an expression of absolute respect, after all, she was the lady who had taken care of Hayate when he lost his parents.

She could still remember how they first met, when she accompanied her boyfriend to meet his family. At first, she was nervous, but after seeing how kind the woman was, she relaxed as never before in her life.

The woman in front of her had an aura that made her have no choice but to tell her everything she had inside, even those problems she didn't want anyone to know about.

"You don't have to accompany me to the entrance, Tsunami-san" - said Kurama when he saw the woman who was accompanying him.

"No, it's the least I can do for a guest" - smiled Tsunami as she shook her head.

Inari had gone to sleep, while Tazuna was with some friends drinking some sake because today her daughter had given her permission to drink.

"I insist, you shouldn't do this, I'm not a helpless child" - answered Kurama while he shook his head - "Anyway, I thank you for inviting me to dinner, it was delicious"

"Don't worry, in fact, I should be thanking you" - answered Tsunami while looking at the young man with red hair - "It is thanks to you that Inari is much happier in spite of how exhausted he is every day, even my father smiles more"

Not to insult his father, but Tsunami knew he didn't have the best personality, especially when he was drunk.

Kurama didn't say anything else, he just shook his head because it was obvious that this was due to the efforts they were putting in.

"W-Well, th-thank you for coming..." - said Tsunami when she noticed that they came to the door.

"Again, thanks for dinner" - nodded Kurama before he left, only to stop when he noticed the woman grabbing him by the wrist - "Is something wrong, Tsunami-san?"

"W-Well... I..." - said Tsunami with a red face as she tried to find the words, so she could communicate what she wanted to say.

". . ." - Kurama was silent as he waited, only to notice the woman getting redder and redder.

"I-I... - said Tsunami as she began to babble similarly as Hinata did when she was a child.

"Take a breath to calm down, and then you can tell me whatever you want to tell me," responded Kurama as he looked at the woman.

Tsunami nodded as she followed the redhead's instructions, only to notice how slowly her heart began to calm down - "Okay, I'm a little better now"

Kurama nodded when he also noticed how much better the woman was now.

"O-OK, I can do this," said Tsunami as she felt her courage slowly return - "K-Kurama-kun!

Kurama was only silent because it was obvious what he was seeing, so he just waited to see how everything would unfold.

"I-I wondered if it was you!" - exclaimed Tsunami with a red face - "Going to a...!"

"I would have liked to have had one more..." - Tazuna murmured with regret, only to notice how Kurama and his daughter were standing on his doorstep - "What are you doing?"

"Going on a date with me!" - exclaimed Tsunami as she felt her ears heating up.

". . ." - Kurama remained silent, only to notice how Tazuna, who had come to his side, had his eyes open in surprise.

"I think I came at a bad time. - said Tazuna as a forced smile appeared on his face.

". . ." - Tsunami was silent for a few seconds as she felt the heat rising in her face, to the point that she could feel the steam coming out of her ears - "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

* * * * *

"I see... it's good that you are slowly recovering, Yugao-chan" - said the old lady with a huge smile as she looked at the young purple-haired woman - "I guess I'll have to thank Kakashi-sama, Kushina-sama and Kurama-sama for making it possible for you to come and see me once again".

". . ." - Yugao was embarrassed to hear these words because she was guilty of not coming to see such a kind woman. She knew she was not alone in suffering the death of her boyfriend, but the pain had kept her from seeing the suffering of others.

The old woman only smiled at the girl's expression - "Come on, Yugao-chan, don't be so hard on yourself"

"No, I'm really sorry I didn't come sooner, more with all you've done for us..." - said Yugao as she walked to the old woman and held her hand - "I'm sorry..."

Yugao knew that the woman had suffered not only Hayate's death, but that of her son and daughter-in-law as well, and yet she had moved on.

"How can you...?" - asked Yugao as she looked at the woman.

"Just keep going?" - said the old woman with a smile as she looked at the young lady - "It's because I know that there are still people who need me"

". . ." - Yugao was silent as she saw the woman give her the purest smile she could have given him - "Thank you..."

"Well, now that we've made that clear, it's time we talked about some more personal things," said the old woman as she looked at the girl - "Tell me... Have you found someone who has gotten your interest?"

". . ." - Yugao gave the old woman a blank look, who only smiled.

"Come on, tell me who it is," said the old woman with an even bigger smile as she noticed the woman's conflicting emotions.

"Not love, or a feeling of romance, but rather curiosity," Yugao replied as she gave her a neutral look.

"Oh, honey... curiosity is dangerous, much more dangerous than you think" - replied the old woman as her eyes filled with memories - "That's how I met my husband, and I don't regret it in the least"

". . ." - Yugao frowned when she heard this because if she was serious, she didn't want to start a relationship or start showing interest in a man out of respect for her dead boyfriend.

"Dear, we all need someone in our lives," said the old woman as she looked at the purple-haired young woman, "Someone to brighten up our days"

". . ." - Yugao was silent as she sighed with regret.

* * * * *

"Ugh, somebody kill me..." - said Tsunami as she covered her face with her hands.

It had been 15 minutes since her successful attempt to ask the redhead for a date.

"At least he agreed to go out with you," Tazuna replied as he looked at his daughter. " That's something, isn't it?"

"But it doesn't make up for the shame I've been through!" - exclaimed Tsunami with tears in her eyes.

"Oh, come on, you're not a child, Tsunami, nor is it the first time something like this has happened" - said Tazuna as he rolled his eyes - "Do I have to remind you when you tried to ask that idiot who preferred his job to his family for a date?"

"Okay, I can let you insult my ex-husband, but calling me old?" said Tsunami viciously.

"Oh, I didn't call you old, Tsunami" - said Tazuna in terror at the sight of his daughter's dark eyes.

"I heard something else, Tousan" - responded Tsunami with malice.

"Oh, shit" - said Tazuna in fear as he saw a dark aura surrounding his daughter.

"I guess I'm going to have to teach you not to say anything about a lady's age" - responded Tsunami with coldness.

"Will you please stop making so much noise?!" - exclaimed Inari as he walked up to the two adults - "I need to sleep because tomorrow my training will be much harder than..."

Inari was about to continue, but he was silent when he saw how his mother was with that dangerous aura that terrified him so much - "Oh... Good luck, Jiji"

"Wait, Inari!" - exclaimed Tazuna in terror - "Help me!"
