Cap 266: Couldn't you do it before?

Cap 266: Couldn't you do it before?

"I swear to God that you should listen to us more, Kurama-sama," said Pakura as she struggled to get up. " I can't feel my legs right now"

"Your mouth said no, but your body was quite honest," answered Kurama as he rolled his eyes at the woman. "Especially the part where you didn't want to let go of me no matter how much you begged for mercy"

"!" - Pakura blushed when she heard this, only to look away, so the redhead wouldn't notice the shame she was feeling.

Kurama was about to say something else, but was silent when he heard someone knocking on the door of the Embassy - "Did you have a meeting with someone?"

"Not at all," replied Pakura as she shook her head, "In fact, I organized all my meetings and duties so that I could leave these days free, which I appreciate because I don't think I can do my work in this state."

"Yes, yes, blame the man for leaving you in bed after a night of wild sex," said Kurama as he rolled his eyes, "Actually, you're right, it's my fault, I guess we won't be doing that for a while"

"Oh no, don't even think about it," Pakura said seriously, only to feel her cheeks burning fiercely after hearing what she had said.

"Oh?" - Kurama gave her a smile when he heard the woman's wish, although he had to calm down when he heard the knock on the door again - "Really, they should have some tact..."

"In their defense, I've been awake since 6 a.m. and it's ... ¡¿12?!" - exclaimed Pakura in surprise.

"Pakura! You're home!" - a shout was heard from outside the embassy.

"Oh God, it's Maki!" - exclaimed Pakura with a red face - "If she finds out what we did, she won't stop teasing me!"

"Isn't it better that she finds out? I mean, she loves you more than anything in the world," replied Kurama as he raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't she have the right to know that she is now part of a clan?"

"When you say it like that, I feel that you are right, the problem is that I know Maki, and she won't stop teasing me for at least one or two months" - answered Pakura seriously, only to hear the embassy door open - "Right... I gave her some keys to get in case of emergency..."

"Pakura! Are you here, yes or no?" - asked Maki as she walked towards the green-haired woman's room.

"You better tell her you are here, at least this way she will calm down a little" - said Kurama as the woman nodded.

"I'm in my room! - exclaimed Pakura.

"Why didn't you answer me if you were home?" - asked Maki, and from the tone you could tell she was a little annoyed - "Seriously, I don't think you're just waking up

"In fact, I'm just getting up..." - Pakura responded with shame - "Let's just say I didn't get much sleep last night"

"Oh, did you finally take that last step?" - asked Maki, who by the volume of her voice could tell she was outside the room - "And tell me... How did it go?"

"I'd rather not answer that question," answered Pakura with her red cheeks.

"Oh, come on, you're my mother, we can talk about embarrassing things now that I'm not a child" - answered Maki while she opened the door, only to freeze when she saw her adoptive mother with her naked torso, but that wasn't the problem, rather it was that she wasn't alone.

"Hi, Maki, it's been a while" - answered Kurama as he scratched his cheek.

"Oh... Hello, Kurama-sama..." - replied Maki as her mind flew away from the place.

"I think she's taking it better than we expected," said Kurama with a smile, only to notice how Pakura was giving him a blank stare.

* * * * *

"I'm sorry!" - exclaimed Maki with a red face.

It had been 15 minutes since she had entered her adoptive mother's room, more than enough time for the couple to get dressed.

"I never thought you'd be here, Kurama-sama!" - Maki continued with embarrassment.

"Don't worry, you were just worried about Pakura," responded Kurama with a smile as he poured some tea. "That's a good thing coming from a daughter"

". . ." - Maki tried to say something, but quickly let out a sigh - "I never thought things would move so fast, I mean, you had only started your relationship when I went out on my mission"

"Fate is a mysterious thing, and that's good because then we never know what the future holds" - answered Kurama as he placed the cup of Maki in front of her.

"Thank you..." - muttered Maki as she took a sip of tea - "This is delicious!"

"Tea leaves from Uzu, a delicacy in many places in the Elemental Nations," replied Kurama as he placed the tea cup in front of Pakura - "Something to eat?"

"I'm hungry, so I'm expecting something delicious," said Pakura as she watched Kurama enter the kitchen again - "I could get used to this"

Pakura was smiling right now, but her smile disappeared when she noticed her adopted daughter looking at her with a smile - "What?"

"Nothing" - Maki's smile only grew when she saw her mother's irritated expression - "OK, OK, you don't have to be angry, I'm just happy that you finally found your happiness, Pakura"

". . ." - Pakura was silent when she heard this because she never thought she would be happy with a man by her side, or at least that's what she would have said if she were the one from four years ago.

"It took your time, but you finally have that person who will be by your side," said Maki as she watched the redhead come in with a tiny sandwich.

"I'm sorry I can't prepare something more ostentatious, but I assure you that my sandwiches won't disappoint you, besides, I made something light because we'll be having lunch soon" - smiled Kurama while he put the plate on the table - "You can help yourselves"

"Thank you" - replied the two women as they took their snacks, only to groan in pleasure as they felt the taste invading their mouths - "Oh..."

"Not bad, huh?" - said Kurama proudly - "It takes good hands to bring out the unique taste of the most common ingredients"

"I can assure you that your hands are famous in the Elemental Nations, though not for preparing food," replied Maki as Pakura rolled her eyes. Kurama just kept silent while shaking his head, that was a reputation that brought him nothing but trouble.

"Let's change the subject," said Pakura, because she didn't like the vulgar reputation that her now partner had either.

"Okay, I won't talk about it anymore," said Maki as she shook her head. "Anyway, I'm happy that you guys finally started a relationship, maybe then Pakura will stop bothering me with getting a boyfriend"

"You're wrong, now that I have a partner I have even more rights to tell you to get yours" - answered Pakura seriously - "I don't want you to end up like me, Maki, a Kunoichi who lived only for her job and end up alone..."

"Ok, I'm going to try to get a boyfriend, just stop saying such depressing things" - said Maki with a frown - "Not to mention that you're happy now, so things turned out well"

"Sure, things turned out well for me," Pakura nodded as she grabbed the hand of the redhead, who only responded with a smile.

"Okay, if you're going to start getting into your personal world, I'd better leave," said Maki jealously because despite how much she said about not getting a boyfriend, she was actually waiting for the right one, just like Pakura had gotten hers.

"I'm sorry, it just doesn't feel real," said Pakura as she shook her head. "Anyway, I guess now it's time for us to go back to Uzu"

"You're leaving?!" - exclaimed Maki with concern.

"Don't worry, I'm only going for a few days so that I can talk to the other members of the Uzumaki clan," Pakura responded as she looked at her adopted daughter. "I probably won't be back for two or three days, after that I will continue my work as an ambassador"

"I-I see..." - nodded Maki with embarrassment as she noticed how she had overreacted - "When will they leave?"

"I'd say after lunch, so she can come back sooner, what do you think?" - Kurama asked with a smile, only to notice how the girl nodded weakly.

* * * * *

"Aha! I win!" - exclaimed Anko with a huge smile as she began to celebrate.

"Couldn't you have done it sooner?" - asked Tsunade as she looked at the young redheaded man and Suna's woman.

". . ." - Pakura gave the blonde Konoha a blank stare, only to snort with disdain.

"Okay, sorry about that, it's just that we made a bet" - responded Tsunade while scratching her cheek.

"Okay, this I did not expect..." - responded Pakura with neutrality.

"Welcome to the family, it's strange, some of us have our own quirks, but we love each other" - said Kushina with a forced smile.

"Thank you... I guess..." - said Pakura as she decided to ignore everything about the bet.
