The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 320: Corruption (1)

Cap 320: Corruption (1)

Kushina watched the strange red moon from her home's window while her hand was on her heart. She could feel the heartbeat getting faster and faster as a bad feeling ran through every inch of her body.

"Kushina-chan..." - Mito said as she walked next to Naruto and the other children.

"Kaasan..." - Naruto said as he took his mother's hand, He was shaking as the babies cried.

"It's going to be okay, Sochi" - Kushina said with a smile as she hugged her baby - "It's going to be okay..."

"Kaasan... I'm scared..." - murmured Naruto as he returned the hug - "Tousan... I'm feeling sorry that Tousan is in danger..."

"Trust your father, Naruto..." replied Kushina as she put more strength into her hug - "He is strong, much stronger than you think..."

". . ." - Naruto was silent as his eyelids began to weigh him down. He slowly closed his eyes and began to snore as did the other children.

"It's the only thing we can do for now" - Mito said as she saw that her Jutsu had worked.

"The children have a great connection with Kuro-chan" - said Kushina while biting her lip - "If they're acting this way, it's because he really is in unimaginable danger..."

"Calm down, Kushina-chan" - smiled Mito while trying to calm down the current Uzumaki matriarch - "He is the leader of the Uzumaki clan, as well as your husband, it's obvious that he is invincible"

Kushina gave her former teacher a glance before nodding weakly. Anyone could see that she hadn't taken Mito's words very seriously, though at least now it wasn't as bad as before - "Please... please come home, Kuro-chan"

Kushina wasn't the only one praying for her husband to come back, after all, they were all praying for the prompt appearance of the man who had stolen their hearts.

* * * * *

Darkness....

Loneliness...

How long had it been?

No, that didn't matter to him, what really mattered to him was something else....

A deep hatred, pain and sadness invaded his insides as Kaguya's words echoed in his mind.

"Why, why did they do this to me?"

He didn't know the answer, he didn't care to find it either, he just wanted to forget everything, but as if it was a curse, those memories were chasing him like sharks to blood

It all started ten years after he defeated Kaguya.

At first, he was a little skeptical about everything because the battle had ended abruptly, although he relaxed when he saw how the cocoons began to open one after another.

All was happiness, the war was over, as was the last threat plaguing the Elemental Nations. The surviving shinobi had gone to reunite with their family and hundreds of new couples appeared during the heat of battle.

Years passed and peace was maintained, villages evolved to the point that shinobi were not as necessary as before.

But as if god was playing with him, one day everything went to shit....

Just thinking about that moment, made anger grow to unimaginable levels, only to hear the sound of Kaguya's laughter, as if it was a shadow because he couldn't do anything to get it away from his mind.

That day was etched in his mind and the images popped into his head every time he closed his eyes, as if he was a scratched record.

He had returned home after a trip so he could help an allied village, only to feel his instincts screaming at him not to continue, though he paid it no mind and continued to walk in - "I'm back!"

Kurama had a smile on his face, but it quickly disappeared when he felt no one in the place - "Strange... usually this is the part where Izumi-chan comes running to hug me..."

Kurama frowned when he saw this, so he released some of his chakra to sense someone's presence in his home, only to notice how everyone seemed to be gathered in the living room. That was the second sign.

He slowly walked towards the place where everyone was, only to feel his body freeze - "Huh?"

"Sorry..." - Kurama opened his eyes in surprise when he heard Kushina's voice, only to feel his body being surrounded by the redhead's Kongo Fusa's - "Argh!"

"It's your turn..." - Kushina said again as two more pairs of chains began to encircle Kurama's body.

"What's going on!" - Kurama exclaimed in terror as he felt all his power being sealed away, but to his fury, no one answered him - "Tell me what's going on! This joke isn't funny!"

"I'm sorry, Foxy-kun, but this isn't a joke..." - Anko said as she looked down.

Kurama's expression changed when he heard this as he looked around waiting for a response.

"The elemental nations found you a danger to peace..." - Mikoto murmured as tears ran down her cheeks - "Your power is too much for this world..."

"I would never abuse my power!" - roared Kurama as he looked around hoping to find someone to support him, but to his pain, he saw how they all averted their gaze - "Do you all just don't believe me?! You don't believe me even though we've been together for over 10 years?!"

"I'm sorry, Kuro-chan..." - Kushina said while looking at her husband - "This is for everyone's sake..."

". . ." - tears ran down Kurama's cheeks as he felt his heart break into a thousand pieces - "I see..."

"After this, we will disappear... the Uzumaki clan will no longer exist in the Elemental Nations..." - Tsunade said while biting her lip.

"I am a danger..." - Kurama muttered as he ignored the words of his beloved Senju, only to find the situation amusing.

"It's time..." - Kushina muttered as 9 silhouettes appeared in front of the Uzumaki clan leader.

"My children..." - Kurama said as he felt his heart break even more. Not only had his beloved wives turned their backs on him, but his descendants as well.

"We're sorry Tousan..." - Naruto murmured painfully - "But it's the right thing to do... it's for everyone's sake..."

"Tousan..." - Izumi began to cry - "I don't want to, but I must..."

". . ." - Ryu just kept silent as he clenched his fist tightly. The Sextuplets just hugged their older sister.

Kurama watched this in silence as a grim smile appeared on his face, though it quickly turned into a lunatic laugh.

Those present stepped back as they felt Kurama's chakra was starting to become more and more erratic with each passing second.

"Kuro-chan..." - Kushina said, only to flinch back when she noticed the look of hatred from the man she loved.

"Silence!" - Kurama roared as his expression changed - "I brought peace to the world! I brought a new era of prosperity to the villages, I even helped in the rethinking of their laws! And this is how I get paid!"

Those present were speechless when they heard this.

"I gave my life fighting against Kaguya to free them all! I sacrificed time from my family so I could help the villages! I gave my sweat and blood since I was a child for the sake of this dirty world! And this is how they pay for all my sacrifice?!" - Kurama's chakra was getting wilder and wilder, to the point that it was making it difficult to keep it in check - "And it's my own family that's going to seal me away for all eternity!"

"When you realize that beings like us are only seen as monsters, you will suffer the despair of seeing everyone you ever loved, turn their backs on you"

Kurama began to laugh madly as a few strands of his hair began to change color from red to white.

"We're only doing it because it's the right thing to do!" - Anko shouted tearfully - "Do you really think we want to do it!"

"The right thing?! Bullshit!" - roared Kurama angrily as he listened to the excuse being repeated over and over - "I gave my love to all of you! I gave my friendship and knowledge to all the villages of the elemental nations! And you say that locking me away for all eternity is the right thing to do?!"

Another section of Kurama's hair changed from crimson red to snow-white.

"I'm sorry Kuro-chan" - Kushina said again as she looked at the children - "It's time..."

"No matter how much you save them, no matter how much they say they love you, it's just a lie."

Kurama's laughter stopped for a few seconds, tears of blood ran down his cheeks as a new set of locks were dyed a pristine white.

"This is the only way we have to seal you without the Rikudou: Chibaku Tensei" - Mikoto said as she put her hand on her heartbroken best friend's shoulder - "We need 9 descendants of yours in order to activate the Fuinjutsu."

They say that there is only one step from love to hate, and Kurama was experiencing it right now. All the love he felt for his family, was slowly turning into the deepest hatred.

"I hope that if you get free, the world will be in true peace and you can rebuild your life" - Kushina said as she tried to caress her beloved's cheek, only to see how he tried to bite her - "It's time..."

"Fuin: Kokonotsu no Ketsueki Kusari (Seal: Nine Chains of Blood)" - exclaimed the 9 children. 9 red chains appeared in front of them and pierced the red-haired man, only for a coffin to then appear and swallow him.

"We're sorry..." - those were the last words Kurama managed to hear before everything turned to darkness.
