The Legend of the Kyubi

Cap 319: You will remember my words

Cap 319: You will remember my words

The two monsters were fighting with everything they had while the land suffered from the power of their attacks. The forest that was once there was no more, the trees were gone, the rivers had dried up, the land was completely broken and the mountains were now nothing but flat plains.

Kaguya and Kurama were not worried about the consequences of their actions because they were focused on their opponent. While the kings were fighting, the poor people were suffering.

"This is ridiculous..." - Sasuke muttered as he clenched his fist in anger. He thought he would have a bigger part in the battle, but seeing the destruction the two opponents were causing with just Taijutsu, it was obvious that someone 'normal' like him couldn't do anything - "There's only one thing left for me to do... attack that woman when she has let her guard down and give Kurama a bit of an advantage because if things keep going like this, those two monsters are going to be fighting for weeks, months, or even years..."

Sasuke slowly approached where the two monsters in human form were, only to pounce with a huge amount of chakra in his hand when he noticed how Kaguya moved back after her collision with the red-haired man - "Now! Kuroi Chidori!"

But to his bad luck, a portal appeared and swallowed him up without him being able to do anything.

". . ." - the two fighters stood in silence as they watched the young Uchiha disappear again.

"Would you believe me if I told you that I activated my technique instinctively?" - Kaguya asked as she looked at the red-haired man.

Kurama found the situation amusing, though his expression remained neutral.

Sasuke on the other hand, had decided that he had better stay in Kaguya's dimension. If Kurama won, then there would be nothing to worry about, but if he was defeated, it didn't matter if he stayed in this place because all would already be lost, after all, he had grown bored with being sent to another dimension every time he tried to participate in the battle of those two monsters.

"I guess it's time for us to take the battle to another level" - Kurama said as his body started to grow just like Kaguya's.

After a few seconds, two silhouettes appeared, a huge nine-tailed fox and a large white ten-tailed rabbit. The two seemed to be opposites, one being demonic while the other holy.

The two beasts again collided against each other as the earth shook with each attack the two monstrous beings were using.

"I hope that's not all you got, fluffy tail" - Kurama said as he let out a laugh - "Because if it is, I'm going to have you on the ground begging for mercy while I ride you..."

"You're going to pay for your words..." - Kaguya growled as the bones in her body began to pop out like spiked armor.

" Let's see if you can keep up that attitude..... Kitsunebi (Fox Fire)!" - Kurama roared as his body began to be consumed by flames - "Kitsune Sakushi (Fox Illusion)!"

Kaguya roared as she saw Kurama's body begin to tremble, only for 8 new nine-tailed foxes to appear from her body. She quickly threw a Bijuudama towards one of them, only for it to pierce through her target's body like a ghost.

"It's useless" - Kurama replied as a huge smile appeared on his face - "This technique is not as simple as you think..."

Kaguya ignored the fox, she quickly continued her bombardment against the 9 silhouettes, only to notice the same result.

As Kurama had said, this technique was different from the others because it used Rinnegan as a medium in order to create a real illusion. The 9 Kurama could change their state just by thinking about it, going from being a mirage, to being as real as the creator of the technique himself.

"Kokonotsu no Kiba Kogeki (Nine Fire Fang Attacks)!" - the nine Kurama rushed at full speed at his opponent, taking the form of 9 huge crimson arrows.

Kaguya tried to use her Space-Time Jutsu in order to escape, but before she could enter, she felt 9 sharp objects pierce her body - "Kyaaaaaaaaaa!"

Kurama quickly reappeared a few meters behind the huge ten-tailed rabbit, only to stagger for a few seconds before returning to normal.

"That technique, I still can't use it normally..." - Kurama thought as he clenched his fangs as he could feel how his body was slightly exhausted.

Kaguya quickly fell to the ground as fragments of her body fell one after another.

Kurama took a glance at the woman, only to notice the deplorable state she was in. He slowly approached the rabbit's body because it was the best time to land a finishing blow, only to notice how it disappeared reappeared behind him - "!"

"That hurt..." - Kaguya growled as he took a firm bite on the neck of the huge fox.

Kurama roared in pain as he felt the woman begin to consume some of his chakra, only to brush her off with one of his tails - "Grr..."

"That was delicious" - Kaguya said as she licked her lips - "Such pure chakra."

The rabbit's body slowly reformed again after consuming part of Kurama.

". . ." - Kurama growled again, only to take a fragment of Kaguya's body devouring it without a second thought - "So much corruption..."

Kurama could feel how a strange energy was beginning to course through his body, but none of that mattered right now. He knew he could lose his concentration with an opponent like Kaguya.

"I ask you again, join me" - Kaguya said as she looked at the redhead - "The two of us will bring a new golden age to this world full of chaos and destruction, the two of us united we can put an end to an evil as old as the universe itself..."

"I'm sorry, but I don't plan to do that" - Kurama replied as his chakra again grew. Consuming Kaguya's chakra had made his power increase considerably, after all, she was the union of all his brothers - "I have people waiting for me."

"Those emotions will be your downfall, Uzumaki Kurama..." - Kaguya said neutrally - "When you understand that beings like us are only seen as monsters, you will suffer the despair of seeing everyone you ever loved turn their backs on you."

"That will never happen!" - Kurama exclaimed fiercely, only to feel a deep pain in his head. He could feel how a huge crowd of people were starting to shout all kinds of insults at him.

"You can't lie to yourself forever, Uzumaki Kurama!" - Kaguya exclaimed as she looked at the huge nine-tailed Bijuu - "Humans will never accept you! Do you know why! Because to them we're just monsters!"

"GRR" - Kurama growled in response to the huge rabbit's words, only to launch himself with his jaw hanging open.

Kaguya didn't move, she just gritted her teeth as she watched Kurama shred another part of her body - "No matter how much you save them, no matter how much they say they love you, it's just a lie!"

Kurama again grabbed his head as he heard the voices of his friends whispering horrible things about him - "Get out of my head!"

The huge fox slowly began to shrink in size, taking his human form again.

Kaguya quickly did the same, only to slowly walk over to where the grieving red-haired man stood.

"You know very well, Uzumaki Kurama... they fear you..." - Kaguya said as she grabbed the red-haired man's head and looked at him with a huge smile on her lips - "I'm not lying, all those voices you hear, are the thoughts of all those who have been locked in the Shinju buds..."

"Ah!" - Kurama roared in pain as the voices grew louder and louder.

"Listen to them, Uzumaki Kurama, hear how they treat the man who is fighting for their safety" - Kaguya said as a new wave of insults appeared in the red-haired man's ears - "They are not worthy of us, they have no right whatsoever to insult us because we are superior, without us, they are nothing..."

"ARGH!" - Kurama again let out a sharp cry of pain as he felt his ears begin to bleed.

"Just a little more..." - Kaguya thought as she narrowed her eyes, only to frown - "Why aren't any of his loved ones among those locked up in the Shinju..."

Kaguya was puzzled that far from finding friends of the red-haired man among the captured, she had failed to spot Kushina or any other woman close to Kurama.

"I guess I'll have to use plan B..." - Kaguya frowned as she placed her hand on the redhead's head while searching through his memories - "This might do the trick, after all, it worked on me..."

Kurama fell to the ground after losing Kaguya's support, only to slowly open his eyes - "It's... a lie..."

"Uzumaki Kurama... you'll soon understand that I didn't lie..." - Kaguya said as the redhead felt everything around him start to turn dark.

Kurama tried to respond, but the pain was getting worse and worse.

"Your family will one day betray you, just like it happened to me" - Kaguya said as her smile grew, only to cry out in pain as she felt a pang in her chest. She slowly lowered her gaze and noticed how Kurama's fist had pierced through her defenses - "Ugh..."

"That... it's never going to happen..." - Kurama replied.

"It will happen.... and on that day... you will remember my words..." - Kaguya said as the vitality left her body.

Kurama slowly stood up and looked at Kaguya's body as he frowned because this shouldn't have ended so easily.
