The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 13: Konan's Dream

Extra 13: Konan's Dream

Three months had passed since the end of the war and peace continued to exist thanks to the efforts of the Great Villages, although that was not what mattered at the moment, but an event that would surprise everyone.

Orochimaru had taken his last breath after fixing the biological problem that plagued his two children named Mitsuki.

"Somehow, he died much more peacefully than I thought" - Tsunade muttered while sipping some sake next to Jiraiya, something that hadn't happened in a long time.

"I know..." - Jiraiya replied as he looked up at the starry sky - "Though it's a surprise that he was the first to die, more so seeing all he had done to find the secret of immortality."

"With the few days he had left to live, he changed a little" - said Tsunade while shaking her head - "I guess it was thanks to him losing his memories."

". . ." - Jiraiya didn't say anything about it, mostly because he hadn't contacted Orochimaru during his last months - "I guess it was good that you helped him with the genetic stabilization of Mitsuki and his younger brother."

Tsunade didn't answer, she just kept silent as she looked at the sky and started to remember the past.

* * * * *

"Thank you for accompanying me" - Konan said as she looked at the white-haired man who was accompanying her to Amegakure no Sato, or rather, what was left of the village.

"No, it's the least I can" - replied Kurama calmly as he sighed at the sight of the mess left from the battle between Nagato and Obito. Months had passed and this place was still desolate from the past battles.

"The only consolation I have is that there was no one alive in Ame at the time the battle occurred" - Konan said as she looked up at the sky that seemed to share her mood.

The rain was pouring down as Konan looked at the surroundings gloomily because Ame was now nothing but a crater.

Kurama shook his head before using a Doton Jutsu to level the ground of the place.

"Thank you, with this, it will be much easier to rebuild Ame" - Konan said as a small smile appeared on her face.

"I'm not done yet, Konan" - replied Kurama seriously as he activated his Storage Seal and pulled out a huge pile of corpses.

"!" - Konan's eyes widened in surprise when she saw this because she recognized many of them "They are."

"They are the bodies of the inhabitants of Amegakure no Sato, or at least the ones I was able to retrieve" - Kurama replied as he looked at all the lives that were in this pile of corpses, especially the children. He quickly summoned a huge group of clones, accommodated the corpses, and let out a heavy sigh because he knew what would happen now.

"Are you sure about this, Kurama?" - Konan asked with concern because she also knew what was coming, after all, she was one of the people who knew the most about the Rinnegan thanks to being by Nagato's side all this time.

"Yes, I'm sure" - Kurama answered with a smile while looking at the blue-haired woman - "You are part of my family and I must help you fulfill your dreams."

It was already proven that Konan was pregnant, and this was much more apparent now that she had her slightly wider stomach.

". . ." - Konan didn't know what to say why she never thought she would get those words, more so with everything that had happened all these years. Tears began to stream down her cheeks as a huge smile appeared on her lips - "Thank you."

Kurama didn't say anything else, he just prepared himself for the next moment because it would be the most important one. He concentrated as much as he could while noticing how his clones had already disappeared from the place.

"Rinne Tensei!" - Kurama exclaimed as he felt at least 90% of his colossal chakra disappear without a trace, only for a huge face to appear behind him.

The face watched his summoner for a few seconds, only to open its huge mouth and release an enormous amount of 'lights'.

Konan had never seen such a huge effect on Rinne Tensei, so it was obvious that the white-haired man had paid a huge price - "Are you alright, Kurama?"

"Yeah, just a little tired" - Kurama muttered as he fell to his knees with sweat running down his face. It was the first time he was experiencing so much pain, and the worst part was that it wasn't physical, but spiritual. His soul was screaming from the overexertion of having used so much of his chakra all at once.

"Sorry" - muttered Konan as she walked over to the Uzumaki and helped him up, only to notice how the corpses started to move - "!"

"Ugh, I feel like everything is spinning" - muttered one of the Ame people as he grabbed his head so he could try to get rid of that annoying headache he felt.

"You're not the only one" - replied another inhabitant of Ame, only to widen his eyes - "Wait for a second, we were captured by those white things!"

"!" - the inhabitants of Ame felt the memories come flooding back into their heads, only to scream in terror.

"Wait, I saw you die in front of my eyes!" - exclaimed a man as he looked at a woman - "How is it possible for you to be back in the world of the living!"

"I could say the same thing about you!" - exclaimed another man because he had seen the man in front of him die.

"I'm confused" - muttered a woman as she looked around - "Son!"

"Okaa-san!" - exclaimed the boy as he started to cry.

"You're okay, my little boy is okay!" - exclaimed the woman in tears because she could not believe how her baby was in perfect condition - "This is a miracle!"

She was aware that her baby had been captured by those white monsters with human-like appearances.

People did not know how to react in this situation because many of them were aware that they had died and again had come back to life.

"Konan-sama!" - exclaimed a man in surprise at the sight of the woman.

All the inhabitants of Ame concentrated their gaze on the blue-haired woman standing next to a white-haired man.

"Huh? Doesn't Konan-sama look a little... fat?" - muttered a man, only to receive a punch from one of the women - "Ouch! What was that for!"

"For not being tactless at all" - snorted the woman disdainfully - "Do you perhaps not understand that Konan-sama is pregnant?"

"Huh? The leader of our village is pregnant?" - asked another man as he looked at the blue-haired woman and then at the white-haired man - "Oh, Oh ~! That explains a few things!"

"How did that happen!" - Another man exclaimed as he cried tears of blood.

"From the size of Konan-sama's stomach, I can tell that her pregnancy is at least 3 months old" - said a doctor while frowning - "Have we been dead that long?"

"What do you mean?" - asked another man as he frowned at the doctor's words.

"Do you not remember your last moments of your life?" - asked the doctor as he shook his head - "Are you trying to deny what cannot be denied?"

The other inhabitants of Ame could only avert their gaze in sorrow because many of them did not want to accept the harsh reality.

"It's good to see that you're okay" - Konan said as tears ran down her cheeks, causing a great wave of screams because no one had ever seen the woman express any kind of emotion.

The men gawked at the woman's smile, though they quickly shook their heads to push away some crazy ideas.

"Konan-sama, could you explain to us what happened?" - A woman asked as she looked at the blue-haired woman and then at her handsome companion.

"Kurama, do you think you can use your Mokuton to summon some houses for the children?" - Konan asked with a face red with embarrassment because it was obvious that the father of her child was exhausted beyond belief.

". . ." - Kurama let out a sigh before looking around and nodding - "I think I can make it, though I am gonna have to ask you to call Kushi-chan to send us back to Uzu."

"OK" - nodded Konan as he watched the albino do some hand seals and summon a few houses - "Are you okay?"

"Yes" - replied Kurama as he smiled at the woman- "Using Mokuton is much simpler than using Rinne Tensei."

Though just as he finished speaking, he fell unconscious.

"Kurama!" - Konan exclaimed in terror as he saw how the white-haired man had fallen to the ground from exhaustion - "Take him inside one of the houses next to the children!"

"O-Ok!" - exclaimed some of the inhabitants in disbelief as the women smiled at how protective the woman was of her beloved.

"Once you let Kurama rest, I will inform you what happened, so I want you to hurry back" - Konan ordered seriously as she created a paper clone. This was the first step for the reconstruction of Amegakure no Sato and the fulfillment of her dream.
