The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 16: Gate (29)

Extra 16: Gate (29)

"Sorry for coming unannounced like this, Kurama-sama" - said Bozes while bowing her head.

"I'm surprised that you came, more so when I told you that you were exiled from this city" - replied Kurama calmly while watching as the girl sighed - "But well, what did you come here for?"

"I came to ask you to please cancel the exile of Piña-sama" - replied Bozes biting her lip - "I know she didn't think things through, but I'm sure she didn't want to do anything to endanger [Samsara]"

"I'm sorry, but my decision is firm, I don't plan to change my punishment when she didn't think her actions through" - Kurama replied while narrowing his eyes - "If that's it, then you'd better leave."

"Please, I ask you to reconsider" - Bozes said while biting her lip.

"I recommend you to refrain from continuing, it will only make me belittle you" - Kurama replied as he saw how the girl was getting ready to undress.

Bozes nodded weakly before sighing regretfully and retreating.

Kurama was silent for a few seconds before narrowing his eyes - "Seriously, now everyone seems to be interested in my social life."

With a wave of his hands, he brought up a masked man who seemed to be confused by the change of scenery.

"Now, what is it you desire, invader?" - Kurama asked with a frown.

The man's eyes widened in surprise as he prepared to take his own life, but before he could do anything else, he noticed how his body seemed to be frozen - "!"

"Do you really think suicide is the answer?" - Kurama asked as he raised an eyebrow - "I am the god of reincarnation, and I have the god of death and the goddess of the underworld on my side, your death will only become a much longer punishment and I will end up knowing everything in the end."

"Then why did you stop me?" - The man asked in a deep voice.

"Because it's a waste" - replied Kurama calmly while shaking his head - "Why have such a stupid death, when you can just be honest with me and have a second chance at [Samsara]?"

The masked man was silent before removing his mask, revealing a tan-skinned man with a scarred face.

"A desert man, if I remember correctly, a group of you entered [Samsara] a few days ago" - Kurama said while narrowing his eyes - "But I'm confused, how did you get past my gatekeepers?"

"I'm sorry to tell you that there is a corrupt gatekeeper among them" - replied the tan-skinned man.

Kurama's expression darkened when he heard the spy's words - "I see, this makes sense."

The desert man fell silent as he felt a huge pressure invade the room.

"Kurama-sama!" - Tyuule exclaimed as she entered the room as she felt how her god was annoyed, though her expression changed to a cold one when she saw the stranger. She didn't even think twice and leapt at the intruder with a choleric stare on her beautiful face.

The desert man stood static when he felt the massive killer instinct, but let out a sigh of relief when he saw his attacker's body float just inches away from his body.

"Calm down, Tyuule, he is not the one directly responsible for my fury" - Kurama replied as he tried to calm down - "In fact, if it wasn't for his appearance, I wouldn't have found out about something that could have hurt our reputation."

Tyuule looked at her leader in confusion, only to stare at the stranger - "What's wrong, Kurama-sama?"

"It's simple, there is corruption in our organization" - Kurama replied with disdain - "And we don't know how deep it exists, but for now, we can make sure that our gatekeepers are part of this corruption"

Tyuule lowered her head to hide the enormous fury she felt, after all, she was the one in charge of organizing everything, so for there to be corruption in the overall organization of [Samsara], was a hard slap in her face, more so when she had heard this not from one of her subordinates, but from an unknown person.

"I'll take care of everything, please forgive me for not noticing this" - Tyuule said while gritting her teeth because she didn't want her god to belittle her with such a serious failure.

"You don't have to feel guilty, I also got carried away with the stability of our city, and I didn't care to keep an eye on things in more detail" - replied Kurama while frowning - "That's why we have to make it right now."

"Hai!" - exclaimed Tyuule as she left the room, but not before looking at the spy - "My lord, I think we will need his help, and Mizari-san will be more than happy to have someone who was able to get so close to your home!"

"Ok" - nodded Kurama as he looked at the desert spy - "I'm going to give you a chance to show your talent, what you have to do is simple, you will train our espionage and counterespionage force, as payment, we will not attack your comrades, and we will send an ambassador to your village to help them."

"I accept!" - exclaimed the man as he let out a sigh of relief, after all, he had expected his death, that of his companions and a possible attack against his people, but things turned out better than he thought.

He had been sent to [Samsara] so that he could gather as much information as possible about their leader in order to create a good enough image to be able to start negotiations. Depending on the leader's character, they could offer something different as payment, such as women if Kurama was someone lustful, money if he was someone greedy, and so on respectively.

Tyuule let out a loud roar full of fury when she was at a safe distance as she felt her blood boil from the enormous rage that invaded her insides. She quickly called out to Delilah and Mizari.

"What's wrong?" - Mizari asked when she arrived after a few minutes because she was in the mansion - "Why are you so angry?"

"Let's wait for Delilah because I don't think I can explain the situation twice without exploding" - Tyuule answered while gritting her teeth.

Mizari raised an eyebrow, but said nothing about it.

Five minutes later, Delilah entered the room where her two companions were gathered - "What's going on?"

"I'm going to get straight to the point, so listen to everything until the end, after that you can ask whatever you want" - Tyuule answered as she explained about the bastards who had decided to betray Kurama and [Samsara].

The expressions of the two women couldn't have been darker the more they listened to Tyuule's words.

"Ok, I don't need to hear anything else" - Delilah said neutrally as she walked towards the entrance - "You don't need to take care of the gatekeepers, I'll finish this because it's my duty, incidentally I'm going to make it clear what happens when you betray Kurama-sama"

"I will investigate everything as thoroughly as possible, this is partly my fault for not worrying about the general situation in the city, and only concentrating on what's going on outside" - added Mizari with a cold expression - "I promise to give you a quick report on everything, especially if I find that any of my subordinates decided not to inform me about it"

"Ok" - nodded Tyuule as she walked towards her office because she had some section leaders to call, and she didn't feel like listening to excuses.

She quickly sat down in her office, which was an exact copy of her god's, and waited for her subordinates to show up.

"You called for us, Tyuule-sama?" - A mustached man asked as he regarded the rabbit woman with respect and hidden desire.

"Look, normally I put up with your disgusting stares, but I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, so just keep quiet and wait for the others to arrive" - Tyuule said neutrally.

The mustachioed man remained silent as he felt a deep sweat running down his back.

After a few seconds, other people came in and sat down in front of Tyuule, who was with an expressionless face.

"Tyuule-sama" - said a woman with concern.

"Keep quiet, I'm upset, so I'm only going to say this once" - said Tyuule while looking around - "It has come to my ears, that we have certain people who have been doing things that they shouldn't."

Those present looked at each other with concern because this was serious.

"A spy managed to infiltrate Kurama-sama, and after giving him a second chance, he revealed that one of the guards was corrupt and didn't take the relevant tests" - said Tyuule neutrally - "I'm expecting a quick report from Delilah on the matter when we find out the truth, but back to the subject, I'm sure there's more to this, so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and order you an internal investigation."

The people present looked at each other with concern because they were not expecting this, or at least they were faking their expressions.

"Ok, you may leave, I want you to hand over your reports as soon as possible, and I recommend you to be honest because if we discover that you deceive us, your destinies will not be pretty" - said Tyuule with neutrality - "Be honest, and we may give you a second chance."
