The Legend of the Kyubi

Dinner continued as normal, and to Rito, Mikan and Haruna's surprise, the meal Kurama had prepared had been delicious.     

"Huh? Why is there an extra plate?" - Rito asked as he noticed that there was an unoccupied booth.     

"Let's just say I'm waiting for someone" - replied Kurama while shrugging his shoulders, only for after a few seconds, those present to hear someone knocking on the door - "Well, there came our guest".     

Kurama quickly went to the entrance and returned after a few seconds with a handsome man who was wearing a strange silver armor.     

"Zastin, what are you doing here?" - Lala asked in surprise.     

"I came to give you a message, Lala-sama" - replied Zastin calmly as he was surprised to see that Kurama had prepared something to eat for him - "Did you know that I was coming?"     

"Let's just say I had a little hunch" - Kurama replied as he shrugged his shoulders.     

"Oh" - Zastin decided not to ask more about it, not counting that he was hungry because he hadn't eaten anything since he arrived at earth - "Thank you for the food."     

Kurama just smiled in response as Rito and the others looked curiously at this strange man.

30 minutes later, Zastin was sitting down with a satisfied expression - "Thank you very much."     

"You're welcome" - Kurama replied calmly - "Anyway, I think you'd better tell us what you've come for."     

"Right, Gid-sama told me to deliver this to you" - Zastin said seriously.     

"Dad?" -Lala asked in surprise as she watched Zastin hand a communicator to the white-haired man.     

Kurama raised an eyebrow as he took the strange device, only for an image to appear over the communicator after a few seconds.     

"Good job, I was getting bored already" - said a male voice.     

Zastin and Mikado quickly knelt before the image of the strange and mysterious man.     

Rito, Haruna and Mikan, could only watch everything with expressions of surprise and confusion.     

"Interesting, not everyone can stand their ground when looking at my silhouette" - said the mysterious man - "Much less have the courage not to kneel when seeing me".     

"I'm not your servant, I'm not afraid of you either" - replied Kurama disdainfully.     

"Interesting, you are just as Zastin said, I already want to see you in person, so I can see how strong you are" - said the mysterious man as he let out a laugh, only to look in the direction of the pink-haired young woman - "Lala"     

"Dad" - replied Lala with a frown - "I don't plan to come back".     

"I wasn't planning on making you come back either, not after hearing Zastin's report" - Gid replied as he narrowed his eyes - "Though that doesn't mean I've approved of him being my son-in-law."     

"I'm not looking for your approval either, you idiot" - Naruto replied with disdain.     

Zastin and Mikado's expression changed when they heard this because they didn't expect Naruto to respond in such a hostile manner.     

"You've got balls of metal, kid, I'll admit that, though you better not tempt my patience" - replied Gid while frowning - "It's one thing to be brave, it's quite another to be stupid."     

"Naruto, he's right, being brave is a good thing, and being stupid is something that can get you killed" - replied Kurama as he looked at his son - "Lala's father is strong, I can feel it by his presence"     

"I can feel my blood boil with the desire to fight you, and that's something I haven't felt in years" - replied Gid as he looked at the white haired man - "Ok, let's leave my desires for another time, I didn't come here to talk about that, but about the situation that concerns us all, the marriage between my daughter and your son"     

"What do you have planned?" - Kurama asked as he raised an eyebrow.     

Now that he had seen Lala's father, he could understand some things and even if he wouldn't admit it, it was obvious that he was content with Naruto as a son-in-law.     

"It's simple, a test" - Gid replied as he stopped looking at Kurama and focused on Naruto - "You will protect my daughter for a few months, and I will announce to the universe that Lala's betrothed has been chosen."     

"There's always a "but" in situations like this..." - Kurama said with a frown.     

"Exactly, there is one condition for this to be fulfilled, and that is that you will have to protect her from her other prospective fiancés who will try to take her away from you" - replied Gid with a small smile adorning his face - "If you manage to protect Lala, then you will become the future emperor of the universe, just be careful because if someone manages to capture Lala, then not only you will be in danger, but the whole planet you call home."     

Kurama frowned when he heard this because it was not fair to the people of the Earth.     

"Listen, I can put my life at stake because it's mine, and they are my decisions, so don't bring innocent people into this" - Naruto said coldly - "Well, I accept your test, although I want to change some things. If I win, then I will be emperor, and I will marry Lala, but if I lose, then my life will be yours, so I don't want you to bring the earth in the middle."     

Gid was silent for a few seconds before he let out a laugh - "Fine, we have a deal, if you win, you will take my position when you marry Lala, but when you lose, I won't kill you, no, I plan to use you as a slave soldier because I find it a waste to have to end the life of someone so talented."     

Naruto didn't respond to this, he simply nodded in acceptance.     

"Good, we have already agreed on terms, I will come to your planet when the time is right and give you my judgement, I hope you live up to my expectations, kid" - Gid said before cutting the call.     

Zastin was silent before withdrawing because his work was done.     

Mikado was also silent as he watched as Naruto was with a serious face.     

Lala was showing an expression full of worry.     

"Relax, I don't plan to fail" - Naruto replied with a smile.     

"But, none of this would have happened if I hadn't decided to call you my fiancé" - Lala muttered while lowering her head.     

"No, I agreed to be your fiancé" - Naruto replied with a smile, and even if he hadn't done it for the right reasons, he had decided that he wouldn't take a step back now that he had made the decision.     

"Thank you" - Lala murmured with a small smile, only to return to her cheerful attitude after a few seconds - "I guess I'll just have to do my best to help my future husband pass daddy's test."     

"That's right, I expect your help, Lala" - Naruto smiled, only to blush as he felt the soft body of the pink-haired princess, pressing against his body.     

"Wait a second!" - Mikan exclaimed as he looked around with a confused face - "What was that all about? Princess of the universe? Deaths? Destruction of Earth? Can someone please tell me what's going on?"     

"Oh, right, you are Earthlings" - said Zastin ruefully - "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have started the call with Gid-sama with you present, this doesn't concern you."     

"In fact, the moment Gid said that he would eliminate the earth, it already concerns them" - said Kurama while shaking his head - "Anyway, I guess we have some explanations to give you."     

Kurama quickly made a quick summary of what was going on and who they really were.     

Zastin was surprised to hear that the duo of Kistunes were from the other half of the universe, though this explained why someone so powerful was unknown, though his expression changed when he heard that Kurama was an Otsutsuki, after all, this species was potentially dangerous to the Devilukian empire.     

"Relax, I'm not looking to take control of this side of the universe, in fact, we were just looking for a way to get back home, or to at least contact them to tell them we're okay, when all this happened" - Kurama said while shrugging his shoulders.     

"Wait, everyone in the house, are they aliens?" - Mikan asked, confused with the overall situation because they all looked like ordinary humans, at least if you ignored how beautiful they were.     

Kurama and Naruto quickly showed their true appearances while Mikado showed her pointy ears, and the two Devilukeans showed their demonic tails.     

"Ok, I need a few seconds to process everything" - Mikan muttered as she looked up at the ceiling with a blank stare, after all, she had just received a harsh reality check.     

Humans on earth always wondered if they were alone in the universe, but she never thought she would receive the answer in such an abrupt way, let alone that her neighbor was one of the species out there and that her fiancée was the crown princess of this side of the universe.     

"This doesn't change things for us, Mikan" - said Rito as he looked at his younger sister - "Naruto and Lala are still our friends, right?"     

"Of course" - nodded the two heirs as they smiled slightly.     

"Though I'm surprised you accepted it so quickly" - said Naruto as he looked at his friend with brown almost orange hair.     

"Well, the evidence is in front of my eyes, it's not like I can just ignore everything and say, no, nothing makes sense" - Rito answered while looking at his friend - "Not counting that as I said, this doesn't change anything, you are my friend, the person who supported me and helped me to confess my feelings to the girl I've liked for years."     

Haruna blushed when she heard this as she felt her heart pounding at her boyfriend's words.
