The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 17: To Love Ruto (14)

Extra 17: To Love Ruto (14)

"Well, this is Ren, and he'll be your new classmate for the rest of the year" - Kurama said as he walked in next to the white-haired young man.

"Kya ~!" - the girls let out a squeal of excitement because Ren was a handsome boy.

The boys for their part, just clicked their tongues because it was obvious that they would now have less chance of getting a girlfriend because there was another pretty boy.

"What's wrong, Lala?" - Naruto asked as he saw how Lala was frowning at the sight of the boy.

"I feel like I know that boy, but I don't remember where I've seen him before" - Lala replied as she looked at her fiancé.

Naruto thought for a few seconds before walking to the boy.

Kurama remained silent while the others seemed to be a bit confused by the red haired boy's action.

"Naruto Uzumaki" - Ren said as he narrowed his eyes, then looked at Lala with a smitten boy expression, though this quickly darkened because he could tell how Lala was looking at his opponent.

"I can sense a huge hostility in you, did I do something wrong to you?" - Naruto asked as he raised an eyebrow.

Ren wanted to explode and reproach him about how he had stolen Lala's affection, but after remembering the conversation with Kurama, he decided to do it when the three of them were alone. He took a long breath before looking at the red haired boy - "We'll talk later."

"Okay?" - Naruto replied as he raised an eyebrow. He quickly shook his head and returned to his seat.

Ren walked to his assigned seat as he looked closely at Lala.

The pink haired girl gave the new boy a glance, before shaking her head as she still felt that the boy was someone she knew.

"Where did you come from?" - Risa asked as she looked at the new boy.

"From a place far away" - Ren answered as he shook his head as he listened to the other girls' questions.

"Naruto, it's time for lunch ~" - said Lala as she took the red-haired boy's arm - "Let's go ~!"

"Ok" - nodded Naruto as the two walked out.

"Sorry, but I have to go" - said Ren as he got up and followed the couple.

"That was weird" - said Risa as she looked around - "Although I feel like he's something of Lala's, maybe an ex-boyfriend, or something like that, because she's acting kind of weird."

The others shrugged their shoulders because even though they were curious, it wasn't a good idea to get in the way.

Rito and Haruna looked at each other because it was obvious that Ren was more complex than they thought if he knew Lala.

Ren stood in front of Lala and Naruto, he had a serious expression on his face while the couple was looking at him with a confused face.

"Lala, it's been a while since we last met" - Ren said as he looked at the pink haired girl, but to his pain, the girl's words seemed to pierce his heart.

"Do I know you?" - Lala asked with a frown.

"I'm Ren, your childhood friend, we played together since we were very young" - answered Ren as he looked at the girl hoping to make her understand, but to his growing pain, she seemed not to recognize him yet.

"I'm sorry" - apologized Lala as Naruto watched everything in silence.

Ren fell silent after this, only to sigh regretfully and begin to cry.

Lala seemed to recognize this action and quickly let out a cry of surprise - "You're the cry baby Ren!"

"You remember me for this!" - Ren exclaimed, his face red with embarrassment as he felt his world shatter.

"I'm sorry, it's just that you've changed so much, I could only just recognize you" - Lala replied as she averted her gaze.

"Ugh, whatever" - muttered Ren as he took a breath to calm down - "I came to see if our promise still stands."

"Promise?" - asked Lala as she cocked her head to the side, only to see the boy's expression seem to crack again - "I'm sorry, but I don't remember making you a promise."

Ren let out a heavy sigh before shaking his head - "No, it's nothing."

"Please talk, you better say everything you have inside, or those feelings will end up eating you up inside" - Naruto said for the first time in the whole conversation.

Ren gave him a look before looking at Lala - "Lala, we promised each other that we would be together in the future, that's why I made a huge effort to become much more manly so that way you wouldn't call me a cry baby anymore"

Lala was silent for a few seconds as she tried to remember the past, but no matter how hard she tried, that promise didn't appear in her memories.

"It doesn't matter" - Ren said as he looked at Lala - "Seeing how happy you are with Naruto-san, I see that my defeat was already written."

Lala was silent as she walked to the boy - "I'm so sorry."

Ren only sobbed when he felt the warm embrace of the girl he had been waiting for for years.

Naruto was silent as he sighed with regret because he honestly didn't expect something like this.

"I think I'd better take over from now on" - Kurama said as he appeared in front of the boys.

"Kurama papa?" - Lala asked in surprise - "Since when have you been spying on us?"

"Since the beginning, I apologize for that" - replied Kurama as he walked to the boy.

"Kurama sensei" - said Ren as he burst into tears.

"There boy, let your feelings free, soon you can step forward" - said Kurama as he signaled Naruto and Lala to leave.

Lala wanted to stay, but after seeing how Naruto shook his head, she decided to follow him because she honestly didn't understand that her presence only hurt the boy more.

"Ugh, all my efforts were for nothing" - Ren muttered after 15 minutes of crying - "I tried to be the best man I could be, but I'm still the same cry baby I've been since my childhood."

"What's your obsession with being a man?" - Kurama asked curiously.

"The truth is that when I first met Lala, it was my sister who took most of the control, and when I was the one in charge, I was always wearing a princess dress" - answered Ren while frowning as he recalled the past - "That has been one of my darkest memories"

"If what you say is true, then the promise you speak of, is it one that Lala made to your sister?" - Kurama asked as he raised an eyebrow.

Ren was silent for a few seconds before opening his eyes in surprise - "I hadn't thought of it that way, I guess you're right, though I thought she was talking to me as well because our race is one where the deals are for both genders inhabiting the same body."

"I see, that makes sense, it would be stupid to exclude one when there are two people in the same body" - Kurama nodded as he started to think - "Although I'm sure Lala didn't see it that way"

"You're right, Lala always saw us as two different people" - replied Ren as he closed his eyes - "I guess I was stupid for holding on to a lie, but..."

"I know, the heart is something we can't control" - replied Kurama as he put his hand on the boy's shoulder - "How do you feel now that you've talked to me?"

"Much better, thank you for being there for me, sensei" - said Ren with a small smile.

"That's what teachers are for" - replied Kurama as he let out a laugh - "Anyway, I hope you can make it through, and maybe meet that person who can heal the wound in your heart."

Ren was silent before nodding - "I'll try."

"That's the first step, try to take it" - Kurama smiled as he prepared to get up, only to hear the sound of a sneeze.

The teacher, slowly looked in the direction of his student, only to see how the black and white haired boy, had disappeared, and now there was only a pretty girl with green hair, pink eyes, and breasts the same size as Lala, proving that in a few more years, she would be a beauty to be reckoned with.

"Ren?" - Kurama said in surprise.

"Etto, no, my name is Run" - replied the girl with slight embarrassment because Kurama was much more handsome now that he was so close to her - "Ahem! I thank you for taking care of my brother."

"Oh, don't worry, he is my student and as a teacher, I have to do my best to help them, not to mention that he is a good boy, and I'm sure he will come through" - replied Kurama with a huge smile.

Run stared at him for a few seconds before looking away with red cheeks from embarrassment.

Kurama raised an eyebrow, but decided to ignore it for now - "Anyway, I guess Ren won't be back for a while."

"Yes, we, Memorizians, we can change gender when we sneeze, but for some strange reason, we need a few seconds to change again" - replied Run while shaking her head - "Although there are some factors that can make this time longer or shorter."
