The Legend of the Kyubi

Another week had passed since the beauty contest had ended, and Kurama and the others were currently celebrating Rito's birthday.     

Lala brought him an alien plant because she had heard from Haruna that he had a hobby in gardening.     

The plant ended up being a bit dangerous, but after Kurama "dialogued" with it, the plant ended up becoming friendly.     

"Hello, handsome ~" - said a woman very similar to Haruna, only a little older and an already developed body.     

"I'm sorry I invited my older sister" - muttered Haruna regretfully - "It's just that she's been upset because her boyfriend has been a jerk".     

"Relax, this something normal" - said Naruto while shrugging his shoulders - "At least for Tousan."     

"Right, I've already lost count of how many times Kurama-sama has been the victim of a female "attack"" - said Peke while Lala only laughed lightly.     

Haruna just smiled awkwardly, though after a few seconds, she noticed how Mikado was as if nothing - "Doesn't it bother you?"     

"Oh, our cultures are very different from that of Earth" - replied Ryoko Mikado with a small smile - "For example, the royal family of Deviluke allows marriage with more than one partner."     

"True" - nodded Lala while smiling slightly - "Although mama has my papa tied up and doesn't allow him to get other women."     

Haruna didn't know how to respond to these words, even Naruto was surprised, so he shot a glance at his father.     

" What? If your mother did that, we would possibly have a huge argument" - Kurama replied as he averted his gaze - "By the time I started a relationship with her, I had already had something with Miko-chan"     

"Oh, I see" - nodded Naruto as he looked at Lala with a smile. Good thing he wasn't like his father.     

Oh, poor innocent, he didn't know things were about to get a lot more chaotic.     

"That aside, I think you better save your father, Naruto" - Haruna said as she watched her sister start to become annoying.     

"Relax, Tousan knows how to deal with scorned women" - replied Naruto calmly.     

Haruna was a little skeptical, but her expression changed when she saw how her sister seemed to have calmed down and was now talking to Kurama with a slightly blushing face - "Wow."     

"I know, it's impressive to see how easily my father knows how to control situations like this" - Naruto said while shrugging his shoulders - "Anyway, we should be concentrating on Rito, not on your sister and my father"     

"Right, I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused you, Yuuki-kun" - said Haruna with regret.     

"D-Don't worry, it's not your fault, Sairenji" - Rito replied while scratching his cheek.     

"Seriously, you two should start calling each other by your first names" - said Mikado as she crossed her arms - "You've been together too long already to keep calling each other by your last names."     

The two teens blushed as the others laughed lightly.     

Mikan, for her part, was thoughtful at Mikado's words about how many alien cultures were prone to having more than one partner, and that meant only one thing, that she still had a chance.     

The party continued as normal, until the group heard a knock at the door.     

"Who will it be at this hour?" - Ren asked as he raised an eyebrow.     

"There's only one way to find out" - Mikan replied as he walked to the door and opened it, though when he did, he was surprised to see a familiar person - "Dad?"     

"Of course, here's the great Saiba Yuuki!" - Saiba exclaimed as he let out a laugh, only to let out a gasp of surprise as he saw the door being sawed in his face.     

"Who was that?" - Ren asked as he raised an eyebrow.     

"Someone who took a wrong turn" - replied Mikan with an impassive face.     

Ren immediately understood that it was best not to ask any more questions, though his expression, like that of the others at the party, changed when they heard the shouts of a man outside the house.     

"Seriously, that idiot father" - Mikan muttered as she opened the door.     

"You're mean, Mikan-chan ~!" - Saiba exclaimed with tears in his eyes.     

"That's what you get for acting like an idiot, dad" - sighed Mikan as she looked at the poor excuse for a father she had.     

"That look freezes me more than the current weather" - muttered Saiba as he felt his nose start to run.     

"Just come in and don't do anything stupid, we have guests" - Mikan said as she looked at her father.     

"I promise" - nodded Saiba as he looked at his daughter fearfully.     

"Huh? Saiba-san?" - Mikado said with surprise.     

"It's nice to see you again, Miss Uzumaki" - said Saiba with a smile.     

"Mikado, we are not married yet" - replied Ryoko Mikado while shaking his hand.     

"Really?" - Saiba said with surprise - "With how happy you two were, I thought you were already married?"     

"No, we are just a happy couple who are living their first months together" - replied Mikado honestly.     

"Impressive, I guess he must be doing a good job as a couple if he's bringing so much happiness to his girlfriend" - nodded Saiba as he looked in the direction of his neighbor, though his expression changed when he saw how he was talking to a girl who looked like his son's girlfriend - "Who is she?"     

"She's my older sister, Yuuki-san" - Haruna replied.     

Saiba raised an eyebrow when he heard his son's girlfriend - "And what happened to her that she looked like she's on the verge of crying?"     

"Her boyfriend is a tactless jerk, according to her own words" - Haruna replied as she frowned.     

"Oh, I understand what you're trying to say, you don't need to explain anything else" - Saiba said while shaking his head. Being with a woman who was so close with other girls thanks to her job, had given him enough experience to be able to know when problems weren't as simple as they appeared at first glance.     

Putting that aside, the party was pretty normal to Rito's relief, after all, with so many alien friends, he didn't know what kind of situation might end up happening.     

Rito was happy, he was spending his birthday with the girl of his dreams, his family, and his friends.     

"Kyu ~!"     

And of course, outside in his yard wasn't a ten-foot tall plant.

A few weeks had passed since Rito's birthday, time that things had returned to normal.     

Christmas had passed, and in a way that many would remember for years, after all, not all celebrations end with the destruction of a mansion.     

Saki had invited all the students from the school to a private party, nothing out of the ordinary up to that point. The trouble started when she started creating different kinds of random events, which ended with Lala destroying the place, and Kurama paying for the damage.     

Lala was embarrassed, but after a little punishment from Kurama, everything went back to normal, or at least as normal as possible for the Uzumaki family.     

That left us with the current situation....

"This doesn't look like anything Lacospo told me" - said a cute blonde girl of an age similar to Mikan's. She had long hair down to almost her feet and long twin pigtails that reached her elbows - "He doesn't look like someone who would be extorting money from Lala-sama, much less with how happy she is."     

She had been watching the couple with her beautiful red eyes, though her attention was elsewhere most of the time.     

The blonde girl slowly looked towards one of the windows of the school her target was participating in, watching the strange white-haired man, not because she found him attractive or liked him, but because she could feel an instinctive fear for him, something similar she had felt during her only encounter with Gid Lucione Deviluke, the strongest man in the universe.     

"Who are you?" - The girl muttered as she frowned because it shouldn't be possible there was something or someone as strong as Gid.     

The girl was so deep in thought, she didn't notice how Kurama was watching her with slight interest, though she quickly went back to her business.     

[Konjiki no Yami (Golden Darkness)... I hope you're ready to fulfill your job now, because I've already waited too long, and I still have no results.]     

"I am still observing my prey in greater detail" - Konjiki no Yami replied while frowning - "But I have certain doubts with the information you have given me, especially the one about him being a tyrant who forces women to submit to his darkest desires."     

[I didn't lie, all this information was gathered by my special team.]     

Konjiki no Yami just kept silent while maintaining her expressionless face.     

[I hope for good news this time, Konjiki no Yami.]     

The blonde girl was silent as she watched Naruto walk away along with Lala - "I'm going to have to take a closer look to make sure."
