The Legend of the Kyubi

"Oh, about my biology" - replied Hitomi as she shrugged - "Although now that I think about it, what race will our baby have?"     

"No idea, but that doesn't change our situation too much" - Kurama smiled as he hugged the woman's waist.     

Hitomi smiled slightly as Izumi let out a sigh of annoyance.     

"When are you leaving?" - asked Hitomi as she frowned slightly.     

"Tomorrow" - Kurama replied as he shook his head.     

"Oh, I was hoping I could have you for longer" - sighed Hitomi as she looked at her lover.     

"I'm sorry" - muttered Kurama as he whispered something in her ear.     

Hitomi was silent before returning to her room.     

Kurama looked at his daughter before telling her that this was a good time to have a date with Inuyasha in the future.     

Izumi nodded weakly before leaving the room.     

Kurama entered the room shared with his lover and activated the time seal because he knew this would take a long time.

Two days had passed since Kurama had returned to the past, time in which Hitomi was alone in her room, with a figure showing the few days she would need to give birth.     

She didn't lie, she needed her mate's vitality in order to speed up the birth of her child, though there was something she hadn't told Izumi, and that was that the minimum time for a Succubus to give birth to a normal person's child was at least 20 years, and that was if the Succubus herself absorbed her mate's vitality on a daily basis.     

"What do you think?" - A male voice asked.     

"That this version of you is here means that your other self will not return to the future" - Hitomi mused as she turned around and looked carefully at the handsome silver-haired man, who didn't seem to have changed much, except that he was now wearing a small goatee and a different hairstyle.     

"Unfortunately" - replied the Kurama of the present while shaking his head - "Do you want to talk?"     

"About what?" - Hitomi asked with a small smile full of affection. She didn't care that this Kurama, wasn't "her" Kurama, no, that wasn't true, this man was the same person who had conquered her and had given her a son, she could feel it in her belly.     

"About many things" - Kurama answered as he unconsciously tried to hug the woman, although he stopped halfway because he felt a little strange, and at the same time he was worried about Hitomi's attitude.     

"You don't have to worry about me" - Hitomi said as she approached the Kitsune Daiyokai - "We, Succubus are quick to adapt to this kind of thing, not to mention that Kurama is still Kurama."     

"That's a relief" - sighed Kurama as he shook his head - "I was honestly afraid that you wouldn't accept me because I wasn't the same person"     

"That's where you're wrong, you are the same person" - said Hitomi as she shook her head - "And our son can feel it."     

Kurama's lips arched upwards when he heard this before he hugged the woman from the waist.     

"Now can you tell me about the past?" - Hitomi asked curiously.     

"What do you want to know?" - Kurama asked as he walked out of the room with the Succubus in his arms.     

"Everything" - replied Hitomi as she saw with surprise how the area outside the room, had completely changed, showing a park full of flowers she had never seen in her life - "Wow ~"     

"Welcome to the Yokai paradise" - Kurama said as he set the Succubus down on the ground and reached out his hands.     

"I guess this is where the ley lines ended" - Hitomi said as she felt the enormous vitality that was present in the air.     

"Yes, fifty years after I built the golden city, some jerks started to gain power in my city, and I honestly didn't bother to keep control because I was much more concerned in the health of one of my daughters" - Kurama replied with a somber tone - "It was during this time that those jerks tried to take control of the city's ley line, which caused a huge chaos"     

Kurama walked to a nearby bench and sat down - "By the time I realized it, it was too late, and I had no choice but to rip out the city's ley line, which caused many Yokai to lose their basic livelihood, grieved by my ineptitude in not paying attention to my subordinates, I decided to start anew, create a different place, one that would be completely guarded, and would take the Yokai who still wanted to accept my leadership."     

Hitomi sat beside her lover as she listened to his story with different kinds of emotions. How he had managed to get all the ley lines of the world to be able to create this dimension, how, he had moved all the innocent Yokai and who had no evil in their hearts, and finally, how he had managed to create the illusion of victory of the usurpers so that those who decided to stay behind would not be hunted down in search for answers.     

Kurama slowly got up from the bench and walked towards a huge tree in the center of the park - "Although if I'm honest, I didn't do all this for such a heroic reason, but rather because I needed to."     

"I don't understand" - Hitomi said while frowning.     

"My daughter..." - replied Kurama while shaking his head - "My youngest daughter was born with a different body than the rest, her two bloodlines clashed and created both a physical and spiritual imbalance, that's why we decided to seal her inside the sacred tree, so she could survive and adapt her two heritages, although there was a problem, the spiritual power of the sacred tree was not strong enough to resist my daughter's latent power, that's why I decided to create this new dimension, using the sacred tree as a core, in other words, my motives were never to be a hero..."     

"I don't think that matters to the people who followed you" - Hitomi said while shrugging her shoulders.     

"True, but I needed to tell it to someone else" - Kurama said as he shook his head - "Anyway, I think it's time for me to finally introduce you to the family, I'm sure many people must have been losing their patience to meet you."     

"I just hope they don't hate me for stealing their husband" - Hitomi said with slight embarrassment.     

"Relax, that's the least of it, besides, I don't think they'll mind much" - replied Kurama as the two walked towards a huge mansion, very similar to the one they had in the human world.     

"Your sense of aesthetics hasn't changed a bit in all these years" - Hitomi said as she gave her lover a blank look.     

"Why change what is already perfect?" - Kurama asked as he let out a loud laugh.     

"Tousan!" - A female voice exclaimed.     

Hitomi looked at the person in charge, surprised to see a familiar person - "Izumi-chan?"     

"Hitomi!" - Izumi exclaimed with a huge smile - "I've been looking forward to seeing you again!"     

"You've changed so much since I last saw you just a few days ago" - Hitomi said as she looked carefully at her lover's daughter, who was now all grown up.     

"For you, it's been just a few days, but for us, it was centuries" - Izumi replied with a small friendly smile. She had not grown since their last meeting, although her figure was now much more mature, with a figure similar to her mother's.     

"Who are you talking to, Mom?" - A silver-haired boy asked.     

Hitomi's eyes widened at the sight of the little boy because he was the living mix between Izumi and the boy she had seen with her before returning to the past.     

"Yes, many things happened during all these years, although that fool is still the same as always" - Izumi snorted as she hugged her son.     

"Congratulations" - said Hitomi with a huge smile.     

"Thank you" - smiled Izumi as she stopped when she felt her husband on the spot - "Why don't you come and say hello?"     

"That's what I was coming to, you don't have to be so bossy" - snorted a male voice.     

Hitomi saw Inuyasha, who like Izumi, was also an adult, and had even ditched that hideous red suit for something much more fashionable.     

"I know, it took me years to get him to give up that hideous look" - said Izumi as she weakly poked her new mother in the side.     

"It wasn't that bad" - Inuyasha said as he tried to defend himself.     

"Sorry kid, but it was horrible, it was a visual cancer" - replied Hitomi as Izumi nodded firmly.     

"Oh, so you were the Succubus that was with Kurama in the past, or rather, in the present" - said a female voice.     

Hitomi looked at the one in charge, noticing a familiar appearance - "Aren't you the girl who came with Kurama to the future?"     

"Oh, no, I'm her past life, the one who came from the past and stayed in the future to cover her disappearance" - answered an adult Kikyo, who had a kind of white snake surrounding her figure.     

"That's a soul hunter?" - Hitomi asked in surprise.     

"Yes, let's just say that my job is to take the souls to the other world now that I became immortal" - replied Kikyo while shaking her head - "Anyway, you being here, means that the Kurama of the past won't come back anymore."
