Extra 20: C.A.O.S. (36)

"I feel my stomach turning..." - Iris said while looking at her tutor, Drayden, as well as her mentor, Alder.

"It's normal, this is your first mass event" - said Drayden with a small smile, although this one almost imperceptible because of the white beard that covered the lower part of his face.

"True, at the time when I started my job as a champion, it wasn't yet as televised as it is now, but that didn't take away the fact that I was also extremely nervous" - Alder said while letting out a laugh - "God, I still remember how much my legs were shaking at the thought that I might screw it up like a rookie and have all my efforts go down the drain."

"That's not helping, Alder" - sighed Drayden as he looked at his old friend - "Seriously, you just made her more nervous than she already was"

"Oh, I'm sorry, but you know I'm one of those people who are extremely honest" - replied Alder as he let out a laugh.

"What should I do, Drayden Jii-san, Alder-san?" - Iris asked as she looked at her two masters.

"It's simple, take a long breath, and give it your best, even if the result is not as you expected, so at least you can look back at the past and say, [maybe things didn't go as I wished, but I don't regret participating in this event]..." - Drayden replied firmly - "And I want you to remember, we are all rooting for you, my young granddaughter."

"It's true, no matter what happens, you will always have our support, besides, if you were to lose the event, it doesn't matter, that just means we need to train more" - Alder said with a huge smile - "And with the potential you have, together with the connection with your team, I'm sure that in less than you think you will be able to talk to the other champions as equals"

Iris was silent before nodding firmly.

"By the way, I want you to remember one thing, Iris" - Drayden said as he looked at his granddaughter in all but blood - "You are just starting your journey as a champion, they have been in their positions for a long time, so you don't have to feel bad."

"I understand, I'm going to give it my all" - nodded Iris as her eyes twinkled slightly.

The two middle-aged men laughed lightly as she nodded.

"Ok, I think we'd better leave you alone to think things over calmly" - said Alder as he looked at his old friend - "Remember, you can call us anytime".

"Ok" - nodded Iris as she watched the two men leave the room. She slowly put her Pokeballs on the table and started talking to her Pokémon in order to calm her heart.

"How are you feeling, Diantha-san?" - Asked a woman with a shy voice, and a body with the curves that would make any woman envious, and although they weren't on the level of women like Wicke, she was still above average. She had dark blue hair, and wore a dress of the same color, along with a top hat in the shape of a closed rose.

"I feel a little nervous, I won't deny it, it's like being the premiere of my first movie" - said Diantha while letting out a sigh - "This feeling is something I felt I had forgotten, and honestly, I feel excited".

"Heh, heh, heh, as you might expect from Diantha-chan" - said a cute and lively blonde-haired girl, and just like the first girl, she was wearing the same kind of dress, only yellow in color that matched her athletic body.

"I think you should give Diantha-san some space" - said a third woman who was wearing the same type of dress, only green in color. She, just like the first one, had an above average body and her serene attitude, together with her green hair, combed in a spiral side ponytail, made her have a mature aura.

"Morgan is right, stop bothering Diantha, Nita, Evelyn" - said a woman, who like the others, was wearing the same type of dress, only hers was in different shades of pink. She had the same color hair as her dress, and like her two other sisters, she had a well-endowed body, although her proud attitude made her look like someone pedantic and difficult to talk to.

"Stop being so bitter, Dana" - said Nita, the blonde girl in the yellow dress - "You should take the stick out of your ass for once in your life, then you'll never make friends or get engaged"

"W-What?!" - Dana, the pink-haired girl exclaimed angrily - "How dare you say something so obscene!"

"D-Dana, N-Nita, don't fight" - said Evelyn as she stood in front of her two sisters - "T-This is not the time for that kind of thing, remember we've come to support our old friend Diantha!"

"Tch" - Dana clicked her tongue when she heard this, although her look showed that this conversation was not over.

Nita stuck her tongue out at her and started smiling disdainfully, which made Dana increasingly angry.

"It's good to see you guys are still getting along ~" - smiled Morgan, the green-haired girl.

"What part of our discussion makes you say we get along, Morgan!" - Dana exclaimed angrily.

Morgan just smiled in response, which made Dana start to lose her mind because of how angry she was.

"I knew it would be a bad idea to invite all of you at the same time" - sighed Diantha as she grabbed the bridge of her nose.

"I-I'm sorry my sisters are causing you trouble, Diantha-san" - said Evelyn as she apologized for her sisters.

"No, you don't have to apologize, I knew it would happen, but I still invited you, this is my fault" - replied Diantha as she shook her head - "Leaving that aside, aren't you going to get in trouble for leaving the [Battle Mansion] with no one watching over it?"

"Oh, you don't have to worry, we announced in advance that we would be closing for the month for the sake of this event" - replied Morgan with a warm smile - "In fact, I heard that the Aces of the [Battle Frontier] also asked permission to close"

"Oh, I didn't know that" - said Diantha with surprise.

"I know, I was a bit surprised too, although then I remembered that Scott-san is a fan of this kind of events" - replied Nita while shrugging her shoulders - "Not to mention that I heard that he had wanted to sign Kurama-san for his [Battle Frontier] for years, so I don't think he's very happy with the fact that he took the position of Elementia Champion."

"I just have one question" - said Dana as she looked at Diantha seriously - "Is he as handsome as they say? I ask because I still can't believe that a man managed to get so many women behind him".

"W-Well, he is handsome, much more handsome than the co-stars of all my movies, in fact, my manager asked me to ask him if he wanted to act in one of my movies" - answered Diantha as she decided to change the subject - "Anyway, what do you think of my team?"

"Hmm, I see you changed some of your Pokémon to be more difficult to deal with" - said Dana as she started to think - "Interesting, you changed Gourgeist and Aurorus..."

"It's sad to admit it, but my babies are the weakest components of my main team" - sighed Diantha with regret - "Honestly, I would have preferred not to have to change any Pokémon of my team, but then I remembered that the others must have also modified their teams to be more surprising, after all, we, champions, have information about the others"

"Well, you're right" - nodded Evelyn while muttering something under her breath - "What do you think, girls?"

"From an objective point of view, your team is much stronger with those two new acquisitions" - said Dana while frowning - "But at the same time I feel like you're giving up on being you"

"I understand what you're trying to say, it's something we went through with our teams too" - Morgan said while nodding - "Our original teams are also quite weak for high level battles, that's why we had to get stronger teams..."

"Yes, although using legendary Pokémon, even if they are sub-legendaries, is... how should I put it... too much..." - Evelyn said as she fiddled with her fingers because she knew this was a touchy subject to talk about with her sisters.

"It's either that, or be the laughingstock of the competitive centers in the other regions" - Dana said with a frown and crossed her arms - "Besides, we're not the only fighting centers that use sub-legendaries."

"She's not wrong, both the [Battle Frontier] and the [Battle Tower] allow the use of sub-legendaries because the bosses use them, we also abide by these rules" - nodded Morgan while the sisters began to argue among themselves.

Diantha, for her part, wondered if it would be a good idea to capture a sub-legendary to make her team stronger.
