Ghost In Red

C21 Chapter 21 - Invisible

C21 Chapter 21 - Invisible

*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*

---

"I told you already. I won't leave until you talk to me. Properly. Like a real person." I asserted and saw the troubled blondie who just woke up get out of her bed.

She began fixing her bed and not bothering to reply. Didn't she hear me? I am hella sure she did.

"Hey, come on, Syd. I am not trying to scare you. I am here for a reason—a big one." I continued and noticed she had taken something from the nightstand on the right side of her bed.

I stood up to walk near her bed and sat down while trying to see what she was doing.

I hastily closed my eyes when she suddenly sprayed something at me.

"What the f*ck?" I cursed, looking at her in shock, and saw that she had a bottle of insect killer spray on hold and pointing it at me while wearing an angry face.

"Knock it off!" I yelled when she resprayed it on me but just passed through.

"Begone!" She kept doing it, and I was not affected even a bit.

"You are wasting it. And it's not good for your health either. You are not even covering your airways and your eyes." I scolded her, and she stopped, thankfully.

She tried to hit me with the bottle this time while screaming, "Leave me the hell alone!!!!"

This b*tch has gone crazy. Hmm, maybe the effects of the spray.

"I told you, I am not going to leave. Just talk to me, Syd. Please." I continued asking her, but the girl seemed to be so stubborn.

She grabbed a pillow and began hitting me with it, yet nothing was happening. She is just tiring herself.

"Aha! You are not leaving, huh? Let's see what you got with this." She let out and ran to her study table, and I followed behind her.

My eyes widened in shock when she turned back to me and held up something on my face, and she uttered, "With the power of this Holy Bible, and my faith in the Almighty God, you will leave this room and never bother me ever again! Begone, evil spirit and never return here!"

She closed her eyes, and I moved when she tried to hit me with the thing in her hold. The heck?

I noticed she was breathing heavily and tried to take a deep breath after she rebuked me.

She turned to look at where I was, and a creepy evil smile slowly formed on her face. I wonder what the matter is. Damn, she's spooking the shit out of me now.

"I can't believe it worked." She muttered in victory, and my eyebrows met at that with my jaw dropped. What did she say?

"Ha! Screw you, biatch! You are finally gone." She continued rejoicing and walked through me to place the Holy Bible back on her study table.

I don't know, but I felt like I was... doomed. Nope, no. No, there is no way it worked. No f*cking way!

I tried to check myself to see if I disappeared, yet I seem not to. She has to be kidding me.

"Hey, Sydney! No, you can't do this to me!" I sobbed and saw her, seeming like she didn't hear nor see me. She just went to open the door of the bathroom and locked it.

No, this is not happening!

"Syd! Hey! You... No, please! You can't do this to me! I just want your help! Please!" I cried out as I followed her inside the bathroom.

I saw her sitting on the toilet bowl, and I felt like I was trespassing her privacy. Should I give her time for her morning rituals? Maybe I should.

But, damn, she can't do this sh*t on me. How dare she...?

"Hey, did you really unsee me? Please, don't be this mean to me, Syd. If you take a shower, I will leave, but I hope you will think about my plea. I wouldn't be spending days trying to find someone who could finally notice me if what I need isn't important. It's between life and death, Syd. I hope you will consider it. Please, talk to me. Okay?" I told her with all my messed-up emotion and noticed a slight change in her facial expression.

"Please, Sydney Roswell. Or... If not... Then... Name your price, and I will give it to you. No matter how much. I'll give you time to think, alright? I'll be just out there in your room." I continued trying my best to get her attention before I left the bathroom.

I let out a heavy sigh as I sat on her bed. I don't believe at all that she can't notice me anymore.

---

Moments passed, and my gaze began to roam around her room and stopped at the nightstand. I looked at the picture frames and noticed a family picture and pictures of her with her friends and her parents. I stared at them last night and saw how pretty she is in these pictures here. She does look different when she smiles. Well, I just can't get enough of seeing her dimples on both cheeks, and no... I don't think she's cute. She just looks fine. Mhmm. Fine. She should smile more often or laugh. It fits her.

I must have been staring too much at the pictures that I didn't notice that she already went out of the bathroom in a bathrobe and a towel wrapped around her hair.

"Oh, sh*t! My phone! I forgot to charge it again!" She muttered and hurried on her bed to get the phone near me, and she plugged in the charger in the socket near her nightstand. Can't she see me still? I don't believe her at all.

After dealing with her phone, she walked to the closet to look for clothes while I was just observing her, feeling confused and nervous. What if she really can't see nor hear me? What will happen to me? No, she must be just faking it. I can feel it.

I laid down on her bed while trying to think of what to tell her that could make her finally talk to me or show signs that she could still see me. I am actually running out of ideas.

Watching her every move, I wondered why she took some pieces of clothes and other fabrics from her closet and went back to the bathroom. Hmm. Intriguing. If she thinks that I was completely gone... She could have just stripped and get dressed right here, right? Sneaky Sydney. I knew it; she's just faking it! She can't fool me.

---

When she stepped out of the bathroom again, now dressed, I stood up and went to her to confront her.

"No! You can't fool me, Sydney! You can still see me. Come on, Roswell. Talk to me. Have you thought about my offer yet? Please. Anything, I'll give it to you. Just talk to me." I began, feeling hopeful, and she just walked past me without any response. This b*tch hard!

She continued ignoring me and headed near her study table to sit on her makeup table facing a mirror. Then she proceeded to blow-dry her straight lovely shoulder-length blonde hair.

She began applying some foundation, and I just sat on the swivel chair at her study table while staring at her face intently.

"You don't need makeup, Syd. You look beautiful even without it. Yep, I said what I said. Also, your blue eyes are so gorgeous. You should smile more often, too. You look even more beautiful with your dimples visible, and you will look less b*tchy. Mhmm." I merrily told her the whole truth, and I saw her cheeks suddenly flushed.

Oh, my gosh! Nope, she hasn't applied blush on powders ever since. But now, she's undoubtedly blushing. She can hear me! That's for sure!

Wow! This is epic! I am such a genius!

She kept on pretending that she couldn't notice me, and I grinned as I just had an idea that popped up in my head—a brilliant one.

I am going to annoy her until death. Let's see if she can stand it.
