Ye Xi came in from the outside with his neck hunched, "Why is Young Master Chen throwing a tantrum this early in the morning? He even smashed the phone."
Ning Qianyu, who was walking at the front, froze as her neck turned red.
"He's not up yet."
"Young Master never oversleep," Ye Xi muttered to himself. Then, he turned to Ning Qianyu and asked, "Miss Ning, are you ready?"
Ready for what? Ning Qianyu was confused, not remembering that today was her first day to enter the research institute.
"I'm picking you up to meet Professor Mo Yan, the post-graduate school of the provincial medical university. Have Miss Ning Forgotten?" Ye Xi looked doubtfully at Ning Qianyu.
Ning Qianyu looked slightly awkward that she actually forgot about such an important matter, "About that, Assistant Ye, please wait for me for a moment,"
After saying that, Ning Qianyu rushed back into the room. Ye Xi stared strangely at Ning Qianyu's back, wondering why Miss Ning was acting so weird today.
Ning Qianyu lowered her head to check through all the things she needed in the bag and walked out of her room, "Assistant Ye, I can report to the research institute myself. Could you please get Chen his breakfast instead?"
Before Ye Xi could answer, Mu Shengchen's voice sounded.
"I'll go with you."
Ning Qianyu looked up and saw Mu Shengchen controlling his wheelchair out of the room.
The dean of the Medical University was holding Ning Qianyu's documents and reading through them, suddenly, he heard someone knocking on the door.
Knock, knock, knock…
"Come in," The dean did not even lift his head.
The office door opened and his secretary came in, "President, Professor Mo Yan is here."
Hearing Mo Yan's name, Professor Lin lifted his head and put own the documents on the desk, "Let him in."
Not long later, the secretary brought Professor Mo Yan into the office.
He was dressed in a very formal suit, buttoned to perfection, looking like a rigorous person, wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose with a gentle smile on his face.
"Dean Lin, did you call me over for something?" Mo Yan stood in front of Dean Lin's desk and asked.
Dean Lin glanced at Mo Yan and said, "Mo Yan, I have a student for you…"
Before Dean Lin could finish his words, he was interrupted by Mo Yan, "Dean, you should know that I don't like students that enter using the connections from the university's higher-ups."
Dean Lin begged him before he could finish his words, "Mo Yan, I know your rules, but I have my own difficulties too. Please accept this student."
Under Dean Lin's pleading gaze, Mo Yan finally nodded, "Only once, there won't be next time."
Dean Lin felt relief after Mo Yan agreed, "I promise that it'll only be this once. Here's the student's information, take a look at it," Dean Lin passed Ning Qianyu's documents to Mo Yan.
However, Mo Yan did not even spare a glance at it, just took it and threw it into his briefcase, "If there's nothing else, I'll leave first."
"Alright," Dean Lin sent Mo Yan out of the office with a grateful smile on his face.
After Mo Yan left, Dean Lin immediately called for his secretary, "If someone called Ye Xi comes over later, inform me immediately."
Although the secretary was curious about who Ye Xi was, since the dean valued him that that much, she did not further question the dean and left immediately with a nod.
Later, Ye Xi and Ning Qianyu came in from the entrance of the institute one after the other.
"Miss Ning, we'll report to the dean directly."
Ning Qianyu asked with doubt, "Shouldn't I supposed to report to Professor Mo Yan instead?"
Ye Xi hesitated for a moment before replying, "Maybe the interview with Professor Mo Yan will be held on another day."
Ning Qianyu did not find it suspicious as she nodded and followed Ye Xi.
Just as she took a turn, a figure rushed over from the corridor towards her. Ning Qianyu did not notice and was hit on the shoulder, causing her to almost fall due to the impact.
The person instantly grabbed onto her, "Are you alright?"
"Thank you, I'm fine," Ning Qianyu lowered her head and pulled his hand away.
Ye Xi, who was walking in front, turned around and asked, "Miss Ning, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing," Ning Qianyu bowed towards Mo Yan and followed behind Ye Xi.
Mo Yan only glanced at the side of Ning Qianyu's delicate face. It was only just a glance, yet it attracted him.
Ye Xi glanced at Mo Yan and was slightly startled. Then, he left with Ning Qianyu.
Ye Xi took Ning Qianyu to Dean Lin's secretary's office and told the secretary the purpose of their visit.
"Hello, we're here to see Dean Lin."
The secretary sized up at Ye Xi and Ning Qianyu before asking politely, "Do you have an appointment with Dean Lin?"
"My surname is Ye, I've already made an appointment with Dean Lin," Ye Xi nodded and replied.
The secretary immediately stood up when she heard that man said his surname was Ye, "Mr. Ye, the dean has been waiting for you. Please come with me!"
The secretary led Ye Xi and Ning Qianyu to Dean Lin's office, knocking on the office door and said, "President, Mr Ye is here."
"Please come in!" When Dean Lin heard his secretary saying Mr. Ye was here, he immediately stood up from his chair.
Ye Xi an Ning Qianyu walked into the office together after the secretary opened the office door.
Dean Lin immediately went up to welcome him, "President Ye, you're here."
"Hello, Dean Lin," Ye Xi shook Dean Lin's hand politely.
"This must be Miss Ning, am I right?" Dean Lin's gaze fell on Ning Qianyu, who was standing behind Ye Xi.
"Yes! I wonder if Dean Lin has done the arrangement?" Ye Xi asked directly.
"I've done with all the arrangements and Miss Ning can attend the class from tomorrow onwards," As he said that, Dean Lin opened the drawer and took out a student card along with a document. He then handed it to Ning Qianyu and said, "This is Professor Mo Yan's student certificate and his class schedule."
Ning Qianyu took it with both hands and thanked Dean Lin, "Thank you, Dean Lin."
Dean Lin smiled amiably at Ning Qianyu, "I hope Miss Ning will enjoy studying in our university."
Ye Xi nodded at Dean Lin and said, "Thank you, Dean Lin. We still have things to do, so we won't disturb you any longer."
Dean Lin escorted Ye Xi and Ning Qianyu out of the office and only returned after they had left.
Just when he entered the office, the beautiful secretary wrapped her arms around his waist, "Dean, who were those two people just now that you value so much?"
Dean Lin held the secretary into his embrace with a smile, "Baby, don't have to bother about them. Just think about me will do."
"Stop teasing me."
At the carpark outside the Medical University Research Institute, Mu Shengchen was dozing off against the back seat of the Audi.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes, seeing Ye Xi figure through the window, and went into a deep trance.
Only when the sound of the car door opening made Mu Shengchen came back to his senses. He retracted the disappointment in his eyes and looked at Ning Qianyu who was standing outside the door.
