"Yan Xi, the company also has its policies. If every artist was like you then what is the point for having a managing company then?" Bai Xiaoxiao purposely retaliated, "At most, if there is any arrangements you oppose, the company will respect your wishes. We can discuss the other matters when we return home."    

    

Yan Xi hesitated a moment, looked at Bai Luofan and Chiang Yumeng. She nodded reluctantly.    

    

"One more thing, this will be the last time I have any filming relationship with Chiang Yumeng. After we return home, I don't want to be in any scenes with her."    

    

Yan Xi refused to give them the opportunity to use her.    

    

Bai Xiaoxiao leaned back on her chair, waved her hand. "Alright, that's fine."

"Thank you, I will do my best." Yan Xi wasn't concern that Jason didn't want to work with her initially as she knew how things worked in this industry.     

    

Yan Xi left the conference room together with Sister Xia and Chen Yu before Bai Xiaoxiao and the others did.    

    

After that day, her relationship with Bai Luofan became frosty. As she was imagining how bitter they were, Bai Luofan sent her a message to her.    

    

"This is the last message I'm sending to you. I am very disappointed in you. You're no longer the pure and kind Yan Xi that I knew. If you hurt Chiang Yumeng again, I won't let you off."    

    

Yan Xi had no intention of replying, she deleted the message and put the phone aside.    

    

Sister Xia looked at Chen Yu and they both clapped simultaneously. "Yan Xi, we idolize you!"    

    

"How are you able to act so calmly at that moment? I would have made Chiang Yumeng admit her audition video was a fake in order to expose her. But you didn't …" Chen Yu said with emotion.    

    

There have been many celebrities that were too impulsive but Yan Xi's choice was prudent. She not only preserved the opportunity to film but was able to get Bai Xiaoxiao compromise while paving a way for her future comeback. Everything was now within her reach.

"Today is a joyful day. For the many years I've been with the company, I've never like the way how they were so hypocritical, saying one thing to your face and doing another behind your back. When I think of Bai Xiaoxiao's reaction today, I think I'll be laughing in my dreams."     

    

Chen Yu nodded in agreement, "Me too."    

    

She now completely stood by Yan Xi and was ecstatic on her victory. "Next is tomorrow's filming."    

    

Yan Xi's ability was evidently there, whereas, Chiang Yumeng was an amateur with no chance of succeeding.    

    

Sister Xia browsed through the net and frowned, "Looks like Bai Xiaoxiao have arranged her team to hype up things!"    

    

The forums were filled with overwhelming posts made by trolls paid by Huihuang Entertainment. A lot of the discussions were more favorable towards Chiang Yumeng and started to question Yan Xi.    

    

"Yan Xi and Chiang Yumeng are filming a reality show together? This is messed up! So the retired actress is making use of the mistress's popularity."    

    

"Chiang Yumeng is the top star in Huihuang Entertainment. She has all the connections, Yan Xi cannot compare to her. Chiang Yumeng must have felt sorry for Yan Xi and decided to allow her to join the show."    

    

"Support Yumeng!"    

    

Yan Xi glanced a few of them before turning her gaze away.    

    

"It's not only a hype. Huihuang Entertainment even the made the show's draft public. It makes Chiang Yumeng out to be a fairy descending from the heavens." Chen Yu sulked, "Should we retaliate?"    

    

"We'll see what happens." Yan Xi put down the supplementary agreement and was engrossed in thought.     

    

When the car stopped at the manor, she raised her head and saw Chiang Mochen standing on the second floor balcony. His eyes were bright as the stars as he watched her.     

    

"Chen Yu, let's head back to our rooms," Sister Xia signalled a wink to Chen Yu and dragged her away.     

    

Chiang Mochen walked over to Yan Xi as she as she changed her shoes, "Are you tired?"    

    

He gently stroked Yan Xi's hair, "I had the staff prepare some fish soup for you, it's in our room. They also prepared theirs too, don't worry."    

    

He took Yan Xi's hand in his and led her into the bedroom.    

    

Yan Xi looked at his broad back and immediately all uneasiness in her heart just disappeared, "Mochen, you …"    

    

"I missed you."    

    

He turned around and embraced her tightly. He then kissed her passionately. After a while he reluctantly released her.     

    

"Director Chiang, are you trying to tempt me with the fish soup?"    

    

"Yes." He admitted and rested his head on Yan Xi's shoulder, breathing in her perfume. He pulled her towards an area near the window.    

    

Seeing their supper on the small table, Yan Xi leaned on his chest and grinned happily.    

    

"Let's eat first, then we'll talk after."    

    

Chiang Mochen ladled the fish soup in her bowl and place the bowl in front of her. He then sat down, crossing his legs. He gazed at his wife warmly and asked, "Are you not going to consider terminating the contract with Huihuang Entertainment?"    

    

Yan Xi gawked, she knew what Chiang Mochen was trying to say. Even if he is the most powerful person in the industry, there was some things he couldn't do and he couldn't protect her completely as long as she was still under contract with Huihuang Entertainment. Unfortunately, that is how it is.    

    

"You don't believe that I can get even?" Yan Xi pouted at him deliberately.
