Super Godly Evolution

C27 Beaten Into a Pulp

C27 Beaten Into a Pulp

While the fact that his opponent's ability to attack his mind was certainly out of his expectations, Chu Lin nevertheless remained unfazed and focused his attention on the fight at hand.

After Chu Lin had completed the Nether Wolf Gene, his mental strength had increased greatly along with his Spiritual Force.

Not only did Chu Lin possess a strong physique now, but his mental strength had also increased by leaps and bounds. Thus, he was not the least bit afraid of Qi Wen's mental attack.

*Swoosh!*

As Qi Wen slashed down at Chu Lin's body, the purple flames seeped into his body like hungry wolves that caught a hint of blood.

"It's over."

When Hong Moli saw this, her body went limp as she fell onto her knees.

The Soul Devouring Flame was able to attack one's mind and destroy their mental state. No matter how strong one's physical body was, they would not be able to withstand the attack from the Soul Devouring Flame.

With this slash from Qi Wen, Chu Lin would surely lose his mind and sanity. At the very least, it would cause irreparable damages to his mental state.

Unable to stop this exact scene from happening, Hong Moli stared blankly at Chu Lin as if she had lost a part of herself at that moment.

"That brat is dead for sure. The power of the Soul Devouring Flame is not to be underestimated."

"The ability to directly attack the mind is so terrifying. Even the Awakened Practitioners with four gene chains would not want to face against such an opponent."

"Let alone ones with four gene chains, even the Awakened Practitioner's with five gene chains but a slightly weaker spiritual force would be afraid of Qi Wen. This should be enough to show just how terrifying his ability is."

The surrounding spectators simply gazed as the purple flames from Qi Wen's slash seeped further into Chu Lin's body.

At that instant, the surrounding onlookers felt their scalps go numb. They had all seen before how Qi Wen executed a prisoner by using his Soul Devouring Flame to burn the prisoner's spirit and mind. Only after the prisoner howled in agony for an entire day was he then released from his hell.

It was certainly a type of pain worse than death — the greatest torment in the world.

"Is that all?"

Suddenly, an unfazed voice sounded as Hong Moli jolted back from her dazed state.

It also stunned the other onlookers around.

"What? You're actually fine?"

Qi Wen stared at Chu Lin's indifferent expression and could not help but gawk dumdfoundedly.

This was the first time that Qi Wen had ever seen such a situation. The Soul Devouring Flame that he was so proud of... the skill that could intimidate everyone in the Roaring Tribe... was actually useless against this Awakened Practitioner?

"Against others, your Soul Devouring Flame might be an excellent tool for killing and torturing..."

Chu Lin sneered and said slowly as he easily flicked away Qi Wen's blade as if it was a toothpick.

"However, your Soul Devouring Flame is nothing in my eyes."

Chu Lin's Spiritual Force had already reached 200 points.

After perfecting the Nether Wolf Gene, Chu Lin's Spiritual Force has increased by several folds along with his mental strength.

When Qi Wen's Soul Devouring Flame entered Chu Lin's body, it attempted to directly attack his mind.

However, the flames did not have any effects in the presence of Chu Lin's vast amount of spiritual force.

Not only did it fail to deal any sort of damage to Chu Lin's mind, but the flames had instantly vanished as if it had been put out by water.

At first, Chu Lin thought that this move would at least have some sort of minor effect on him.

"How... How is this possible?"

Qi Wen stood petrified before him. Even if he was facing someone with great spiritual force, his Soul Devouring Flame should at least be able to cause trouble for them.

So, how could this happen? Chu Lin did not seem to be the least bit affected whatsoever.

"Qi Wen's Soul Devouring Flame is actually ineffective?"

"Impossible, just what kind of monster is he for the Soul Devouring Flame to actually be useless against him?"

"Could his spiritual force be that much greater than Qi Wen's? But that doesn't make any sense! Even if that's the case, that brat should still be affected by the Soul Devouring Flame somehow, right?"

Upon witnessing the absurd scene, the onlookers stood dumbfounded.

This was the first time they had encountered someone who was not affect by Qi Wen's Soul Devouring Flame.

After all, that was a special gene — even rarer than any ancestral genes — that could directly attack one's mind.

"I suppose that it's my turn now...?"

Grabbing Qi Wen's wrist with one hand, Chu Lin's face was suddenly replaced with a layer of ferocity.

On the other hadn, Qi Wen was still in the midst of shock as he could not believe that his Soul Devouring Flames did not have any effect on Chu Lin.

At that instant, Qi Wen felt a sudden force dragging his body forward as everything suddenly became a blur in a flash.

*Crash!*

Grabbing Qi Wen by his arm, Chu Lin threw him into the air and slammed him to the ground.

"Don't you have three gene chains? Why don't you show me more of your skills?"

Chu Lin sneered as he proceeded to throw Qi Wen around like a ragdoll.

This exact scene continued until the ground around him was filled with large craters.

Qi Wen was an Awakened Practitioner similar to Ning Feng. While both of them may be powerful gene chain skills, they could not even be considered a high-level warrior in terms of their physique and strength.

In the face of Chu Lin's incomparable strength, Qi Wen did not stand a chance at all.

*Thump!*

Slamming into the ground for the final time, Qi Wen's whole body was embedded deep into the ground like a shotput, creating a large human-shaped crater.

With that, Qi Wen immediately fainted on the spot.

Chu Lin was not someone who would usually make his move. But once he did, he would definitely finish his job by landing a fatal blow.

Since Qi Wen had completed three gene chains, he was more afraid of the two other skills that he had yet to release from his sleeves.

Under Chu Lin's fearsome attacks, however, Qi Wen did not have a chance to release his other skills.

Even if Qi Wen did use all three of his skills, Chu Lin would not still remain unfazed.

After all, the Nether Wolf Gene did not only give Chu Lin an increase in spiritual force, but it also presented him with strong resistance against mental attacks.

Otherwise, even if Chu Lin's Spiritual Force was over 200 points, he would not have been as relaxed as he is now after suffering a mental attack.

The marketplace fell into a strange silence.

Seeing how Qi Wen had lost the ability to fight back, they felt as if their hearts had been petrified and struck by a tsunami.

They all stared at Chu Lin as if he was the reincarnation of a demon.

Qi Wen was a powerful Awakened Practitioner with three completed gene chains — a powerful existence that could kill an ordinary person on the spot for a flick of his fingers. Thus, how could anyone not see him as a figure worthy of reverent?

Yet now, he was being beaten up into a pulp by some nameless newbie.

Previously, when Chu Lin said he would beat Qi Wen into a pulp, no one took it seriously. Most people even thought that Chu Lin would lose his life because of his reckless words.

However, in this short period of time, the person lying on the ground like a dead dog was really Qi Wen himself.

As for the person who said he would beat Qi Wen into a pulp... he really did it.

Hong Moli, who had regained her sense, resisted the urge to scream out loud. Instead, she grabbed hold of Chu Lin's hand and quickly walked out of the marketplace.

After all, Chu Lin had not only just made a move against an Awakened Practitioner of the Wild Lion Family in the Roaring Tribe, but he had even beaten him up until he fainted.

If they did not take the chance to escape now, it would definitely be too late!
